I never write reviews, but this place is ridiculous. And the only reason I'm leaving one star, is because there are no negative stars. Me and my partner went in there for some breakfast after seeing it got decent reviews. The place was packed, which was a good sign. We ordered our drinks with this young white guy with glasses and got our menus. That was it!!!! We were seated for 20 minutes, while our waiter took everyone's order and brought them there food. We didn't even get to order our food. After 25 mins, we decided to pay for our coffee and leave. Maybe they don't like Mexicans. Horrible service!!!!!! read more

Stopped for breakfast today. Must say food is average, over priced for what you get. My English muffin was grilled on the flattop which I guess is OK except the outside of the bottom was MUSHY like it was soaked in some kind of liquid GROSS. The worst part was the entire staff is unfriendly, no sense of humor. Not one smile from any of them. Sure is a great way to make customers feel unwelcome. Our server was friendly, they have plenty of seating (it gets busy here) and food was pretty good. I ordered the California omelet and it wasn't too bad. I think omelets aren't their strong suit. It comes with country potatoes or hash browns and toast. I ordered their country potatoes and they were okay. A little too greasy. I def want to try their other items. I have lived in this community for a number of years and have seen that cafe go through different hands, but by far and away, Abby's Cafe is the best group to take residency since that location's founding. The food taste like good homemade food. The service is wonderful. Of course everyone has their favorite on the menu and I haven't even tried a 1/5 of the menu yet, but I will just say the their grilled chicken salad and their Patty Melt is wonderful. Great food at great prices. Huge servings as well. There breakfast are awesome. I haven't been able to explore outside of there breakfast part because there options are endless and I keep going back to the same great thing. Country friend steak and eggs and the homemade corned beef hash are my all time favorites. Even my kids love the country fried steak. I like to say I have an inner fat kid side so at times I get there biscuits and gravy instead of the toast. That too is a real treat. The sausage gravy is very good on the fresh homemade biscuits. The wife loves there BLT with avocado. Service is always fast and very friendly. The owner even give back to the community by sponsoring local kids teams like my sons tee ball team last season. Have been regulars going on a year and a half. The food is consistantly good. The thing that makes this place so good it is like sharing your table with family. From the servers to the other patrons everybody seems to be enjoying themselves. Its the place where everybody knows your name. Breakfast,lunch or dinner they have something for everybody. Abby's cafe is by far one of the best restaurants in Hemet. The food is great and always consistent. The prices are great and the service is excellent. We frequent this restaurant at least 5 times a month, and the staff treats us like family while always remaining professional and attentive to all of thier customers. I love this place we just moved to hemet and we have been to this place many times the roast with green chillies the cheeseburger is also fab; I think there Chili is so good has perfect beans and meat and spice to it!!! will be back again!!! My husband and I are new to Hemet and decided to give this place a try. It's very cute, neat and clean inside. Our waitress was very friendly as were all the staff. There seemed to be a lot of regulars. My husband ordered a Patty Melt and I think I had an omelette...and that's the problem. The food was Ok. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't memorable. It's close and we'd go if we didn't feel like driving into town, but there are more memorable places to eat. read more

no masks in the front of house, and no masks in the kitchen. when asked why they were not wearing masks during a pandemic, their response was "we don't have to". either they are completely ignorant to state mandates or they simply believe the rules do not apply to them, but either way, if they play fast and loose with the absolute most basic of preventative measures against COVID-19, can you imagine how your food is treated? yikes. avoid this place like the plague that abby's restaurant is complicit in spreading. read more

Omg!!!!!! Abby's Cafe is so amazing from the staff to the food I would rate it ten out of ten. My faves there are the French toast and the tomatoes soap. The cafe is right by my house so I bring almost everyone I know there. Every time before me and my friend go somewhere we go there to eat first. They keep the place so clean and make you feel like your at home. We also went there a few months ago for my great grandmas 90th birthday!!!!! Everyone I bring there really likes the food and hospitality of this place. My family also goes there on cold winter days to get a warm homemade meal. read more

This is my first time for Abby's...wow! What a wonderful surprise. We were seated quickly...although the place was packed...our water came quickly, our order was taken and arrived asap. The two servers kept everyone happy (and made it look easy which it isn't). The hamburger and blt were ample and tasty and affordable...can't say enough excellent stuff about this place. Very inconsistent. This is sadly still the best breakfast place in Hemet I have been to. The eggs benedict is very good, but I simply do not understand how you can take the time to make fresh hollandaise sauce but then serve a pre made, pre packaged frozen chicken fried steak. I am so sick of getting the same frozen patty at every breakfast place. Is it really that hard to simply bread your own chicken fried steak? Also, I have had to send eggs back here several times due to not being properly cooked. So far, the only dish that stands out on a consistent basis is the banana walnut french toast.
