The owners son came out to look at the door and very honestly gave us advice on fixing the door. had Abbot repair my garage door, broken carriage (plastic piece) 2/2012. Now broken again, paid them originally $150. They want $90 now to replace same part. Says their repair guarantee is 30 days??? Not written anywhere on their receipt. And no interest in helping or making correct. I hope you consider this when trying to repair your garage door in Hemet area community. Poor customer relations. Called Abbott's with a broken chain on an old Sears unit. Mike (Hispanic man) called to ask directions, which was okay, but couldn't understand him with heavy/broken Spanish accent. Arrived on time and correctly diagnosed the problem as broken wire attached to drive chain. Expected him to replace the ten year old chain with a new one, but he fixed by spicing a piece of old used wire from scrapes in bed of truck. Quoted $100 to do the repair which was reasonable. I asked him whether he would do a lube of door's wheels and chain? He reluctantly agreed. Later it smelled like WD-40 was used, which of course is not a lube at all. Mike's demeanor and appearance did not install confidence, The door now works and we'll see for how long. My advice is get someone better read more
