Needed to have some serious trimming done on a huge elm in our backyard. Got a quote from one company that I felt was outrageous. I contacted Aaron's and they put me on the calendar to come out. Now, they were backed up because of all the cleanup everyone in town was having done due to the freeze earlier this year but I wasn't in a rush so I was ok with that. They came out and gave me a more reasonable quote and came out a week later. The crew was efficient , did a great job trimming back some big branches from my neighbor's house and left the site clean. They even removed some dead limbs that I had collected. I really appreciated that. I had them do a fence line clean on another property as well because I just didn't have the time or patience to do it. From Lorena on the phone and through email, to Aaron stopping by for estimate, to the fast and skillful crew, everything went very smoothly. I sleuthed the interwebs, asked friends, and spoke to several providers firsthand. Many providers straight up never got back to me. I was concerned w/ this weather about a dead tree that dropped a gigantic limb last time it was windy. The dying tree was looming over the house, in addition to another tree dangerously straddling powerlines, as well as a third, happy, healthy tree which needed artful trimming (as not to sully the beautiful shape of the canopy). I know the city will address powerline concerns, but Aaron mentioned he'd go ahead and take care of that tree too, as part of his already thus unbeatable estimate. They were -responsive -the most reasonably priced -very patient with our questions, delays, back & forth, sending us their insurance policy etc... -quick to get us in prior to this winter storm -arrived at 7:30am and removed 2 trees and beautifully trimmed a third by 11:30am -they cleaned up the yard to absolute perfection -they accepted Venmo -when Venmo was technically on the fritz, they were understanding and patient waiting for payment. We requested service and had an appointment scheduled for today between 11am-2pm. At 2:30pm, we called to check to make sure they were still coming and were told that Aaron was just running a bit behind schedule but that he would be here at 3pm. 3:45pm, we still haven't seen or heard from anyone. When I called to check the status again, I was told that he was still on his way. I asked why someone didn't notify us that there would be additional delays. Their response? "Well, I don't know to call the customers to let them know that there's a delay if Aaron doesn't notify me." So basically, they lack any sort of communication between Aaron and his office staff and the customer is left to sit around all day for someone who can't be bothered to show up or communicate with the customer that there's a delay. With so many other options out there, call someone else. This company will just waste your time. read more

Absolutely terrible. Stood me up twice for appointments. There's nothing quite like taking time off work and having nothing... no response to (polite) phone calls. No message. When I finally get a call back - two days later - no apology, just "they got caught up at a previous location." I understand things happen, but... at some point, don't you *realize* you're not going to make it? Send a text or something. And then, to act like it's no big deal to waste *my* time? I can find vendors a little more willing to treat me like an actual person. YMMV - they seem to have some good reviews - presumably if they show up. read more

We have a relatively young tree in our front yard that needed trimming. After several phone calls and some research online, Aaron's provided us with the best estimate, by far. On the day of service, everything was smooth from beginning to end. Aaron and his crew worked swiftly and in a professional manner. Aaron was also patient enough to answer all of my tree-related questions on the spot. Nothing was damaged and all the debris were cleaned up and hauled away. I've attached an image of the before and after pics. Overall, we're very satisfied with the results. If I had to pick on something, it would be that I was hoping they would trim away some of the random branches that are poking out from the higher areas, ones that I can't reach by myself without advanced tools. But I'm not well-versed in trees so maybe it's better to not cut them? I'll just ask Aaron the next time he comes for a trim. read more

We got multiple quotes to have our front yard cleared out and they were all priced way too high, Aaron's came through with an extremely fair price and actually charged us very little to do some extra work in the back yard. I will keep this short and to the point. Aaron's company really need to step up their game in the scheduling department. The "confusion" on their part when scheduling is unbelievable. If you are scheduling with them, please verify you have an actual appt and don't wait 2 or 3 weeks to find out nobody scheduled anything. My husband Fernando Salcedo scheduled a quote that was 3 weeks out. It was fine with us since our project was not an emergency and we knew it was a busy season. Aaron came out and gave us a quote that was pretty affordable so we were very happy. When Aaron left, my husband called and scheduled an appointment that was, again, 3 weeks out. The person helping him gave him an appt date of Aug. 16 and we decided to wait since it was hard getting someone out here. Now, today he called and the girl on the line said that nobody scheduled anything and if we wanted to schedule something it would be until September. My husband pointed out his conversation from 3 weeks ago but the girl didn't care and had a very SOL attitude towards the whole situation. The only reason I gave this company 4 stars instead of 2 is because we received a text from Aaron's company apologizing and offering an appt for August 21 so I can see he's making an effort and trying to make this right. So my advice is to call back to verify you do have an appt and you're not waiting like idiots like we did. read more

Aaron came in the morning to discuss the plans with the crew and to answer any questions. His guys worked from 10-5 and did an incredible job. All of our trees were overgrown and had never been pruned back and our backyard is a pretty densely wooded green area. Now the yard front and back looks picturesque as the trees have raised their canopy and will clearly withstand storms better due to having less sail effect. Aaron also explained that trees grow "out" due due a lack of sunshine coming through a dense canopy. The more light they get through the canopy, the more it supports upward growth. As they prepared to leave, they cleaned up in a very efficient and effective manner. I was very impressed given how much they had cut down. Whether you have owned a home for a long time, are getting ready to sell, working on fire prevention, or you just want to keep things looking clean and neat, they do a great job. I am so, so pleased with Aaron's Tree Service. I had an oak tree that was VERY close to a gas meter and gas lines. I needed it out. While there were there providing a quote, there were a few other things doing...a huge branch covering up my driveway, (hardwood) trees that had been planted on the side of the house without thought of how they would damage the place as they grew. He scheduled all work to be done in a single afternoon. Well, they didn't finish that afternoon...but they did come back first thing in the morning to finish. They were there when they said, needed minimal input from me after I had the quote. When I went to look at the trunks/remainders of the trees, the ground was flat as could be, covered in a bit of mulch, and everything around it cleaned up. They really left the site looking great. When it comes time to trim back the oaks to prevent roof damage, I'll be calling Aaron's again, no question. read more

Booked an appointment for a quote. As far as I can remember, the appointment was for 9am-12 noon. At 2:30pm, the gentleman had still not arrived. I called the secretary to let her know I wanted him to please walk the property and give me the quote. I had to leave to pick up my daughter from school. She agreed. A few weeks pass, I hear nothing from the company. I call back to ask what happened. Apparently, the gentleman did not walk the property that day as asked. There was still no quote. (They have 5 star reviews on yelp. Surely, they must be good, right?) She says they can come out right then. They do. They start cutting up my trees and dragging branches to the curb, before I have been given a quote and before I have even agreed to accept their services. I try to ask the 2 gentlemen on site, to please stop, but no one speaks English. I try to explain I do not want my trees cut up before I even know how much it is going to cost. Eventually, I get a call from another gentleman who speaks broken English. He says he is going to charge me $350. I say to please cease services. Suddenly, the price drops to $175. I accept the terms. I do mention that I am going to be writing a yelp review because this experience has certainly not felt 5 star. Suddenly the secretary is calling me explaining that my trees can be serviced for free. They don't want a bad review. I explain that feels incredibly dishonest to me. I ask her to send me a bill for the agreed upon price. To date, a few weeks later, I have received no bill. They cut about 5 small limbs away from a tree that was pressing up against our kitchen window. read more

Aaron came to my house in-person to give an estimate, and a fair evaluation of what could/ should be done for each of the trees. He spoke frankly about how each tree should be managed, and then assured me that his guys could do the job. And what a job they did. Holy cow, watching his guys in my trees was not unlike watching circus acrobats swinging above the big top. His guys traveled up into the trees where squirrels feared tread.
