I had some sale upholstery fabric from Fishman's I wanted to use and they were totally fine with that. She let me know that due to their workload they wouldn't be able to get to it until the summer, which I was ok with. The shop called when they were ready to come get the old chair and promptly picked it up the next day. The job only took a week and I paid the balance over the phone by credit card. The chair was delivered today and it looks great. The fabric worked out well and the quality of the work is excellent. I'm looking forward to sitting in it to read in our living room for many years to come.

They informed us a couple of days later that they did not have the materials that appeared in inventory for the job but could substitute some others. While we did not go forward with the order - since we did not like the alternative materials - we still give them kudos for quickly reversing the credit charge. While they may want to work on their inventory listings to provide the correct options, we have no problem with their solution. We went somewhere else for our job, but would not hesitate to give Paul's another chance. Try them.

As you can see in the photos, they basically worked a miracle. I could not be more pleased. They are nice people to work with also. There were no unpleasant surprises. Gave us a realistic timeline & finished it promptly. Since it is a small workshop, they only have room for so many large pieces, so there was a bit of a wait, but that was fine with us. The only reason they are not five star is the length of time I was told, and the actual length of time until they were completed. I was told they would be ready in a week. They were finally completed after 5 weeks, and multiple phone calls.Please just tell the customer up front 4-6 weeks. Reasonable expectations are easy to manage. You want to under promise and exceed expectations.
