I stopped by around 12:45PM on a Tuesday. Luckily there wasn't a lunch rush so I was the only person there. After being asked if I were interested in it, I randomly decided to try eyebrow tint for the first time and I must say... I'm hooked! I absolutely love the way my brows look. It's very reminiscent of the beauty that occured once my brows healed after getting them microbladed a few years ago. The tint lasts between 2-3 weeks so I guess I'll be coming here more often. I always get My brows done here. I let my little sister go to someone who was new even though I was skeptical. The lady who did my brows had to go and help the lady doing my sister's brows. I told her this was unacceptable and my sisters eyes was swollen. They said that it was just her skin but she has been here before and it has never been like this (pics attached) this is so horrible now I know to only go to one lady here. Normal I am happy with the service I get and the job done on my eyebrows but today is not the case. I walk in for a brow threading and tint as always. I didn't realize u till I got home that the end of one eyebrow got threaded way thinner than the other, so I had to wash some of my tint off to see better. Once it was a little bit washed off I was right, the end of my right eyebrow got threaded thinner than my left. I have a hormone imbalance so as a woman my excessive facial/neck hair is upsetting to deal with. waxing is my favorite go to but can be super pricey. Late review: We came here on Oct 24 at 5:30pm as our other faithful eyebrow tech no longer works at the shop we used to go, and decided to give Aaina a chance due to the previous Yelp reviews. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! This will most likely be our new eyebrow salon. The customer service was great! Our old eyebrow tech literally took her TIME and every time they came out perfect. The eyebrow tech we had this day did it kind of fast but as you can tell by the before and after pictures, they came out PERFECT for me! Definitely satisfied, and in love with my brows. Service was great and quick. I got my brows threaded and tinted for the first time but they only lasted a few days because I have to wear make up everyday meaning I have to wash my face everyday day. The customer service was great the only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the sanitation. The lady who did my brows had on gloves and would use sanitizer on them instead of changing them. While letting the tint sit on my brows she did 2 other ladies brows and did not change the gloves. I will be returning but I would rather her just wash her hands after each client instead of sanitizing gloves. read more

I just moved to Texas and I was looking for a wax place. I came across Aainas salon and decided to give it a try. My first thoughts, it is a very clean place and I was greeted upon entering. I did make an appointment and I was taken care of exactly at my appointment time. The person who took care of me is shaziah. I got my legs waxed and it was perfect. She was very sweet and walked me through the entire process. They use the honey wax which is what I like, personally. It gets everything out , leaves no hair. I went in for a Brazilian wax and while they are cheap, I seriously seriously regret going here instead of European wax. For starters she doesn't pre cleanse the waxing area or dry it with powder. She just goes right in. Secondly she re waxes the same place multiple times which is obviously terrible for the skin. I was sore for 2 days after which never happens at European wax. And lastly the hair is growing back and it's only been a week!!!! The waxed part is not smooth AT ALL and it's always smooth when I go to European. My waxes last for 5 weeks there but here its been a week and it's growing it plus I'm getting itchy and bumps it's terrible. nice lady but horrible at Brazilian waxes. read more

My parents have moved to Cypress and every time I visit I always have to get threading done. First off there are a lot of places in Houston that have threading places around and more importantly, it's cheaper than Austin. After experiences of rude service and products they have put on my face that left a bad reaction, I have found Aaina. It is located in a mini-mall and the signage is small. When you enter, you have to sign in and wait for your turn. Don't worry she is quick and she is friendly too. The place is painted pink and she sometimes have incense burning. On the weekends she has two people helping her. Her place is called Aaina Salon Brow Bar but for Yelp sakes she needed to say eyebrow threading so people can find her. Only $8 for eyebrows if you have cash. If you pay with your card it's $10 so take cash :) They offer other services like facials , eyebrow tinting , lashes, body waxing and skin care. Was pretty nervous about trying a new threading place but I read up on the reviews for this place and they were all pretty solid. I called prior to see if there was a wait and was told there was no wait. I came in on a Monday around 11am. There was no wait. Is that a good sign? Bad sign? I was greeted when I walked in and was asked to sign in. Sat down on their chairs and she went to work on my eyebrows. She was very nice and said I should get my eyebrows tinted cause I have naturally light eyebrows. I told her next time. Overall i was quite pleased. $8 was a good deal. Ive lived here for 2 years and been coming here often. Price is pretty good and salon looks clean but service has been a different story for me, after today's frustrating experience I had to write a review. There is one lady (not sure if I can mention names) who's really awesome, she's extremely sweet to her customers and does an excellent job unfortunately she's not always around. A second employee does quick and decent work but has the worst customer service known to man, I don't think you could bribe her to smile! The last one (I've only seen 3) is nice and does good work but goodness gracious she's extremely slow, I've never seen someone take a half hour per eyebrow threading! I've lived inTO & NYC before TX and I can say that I've never seen such inconsistency in service at a salon. I apologize if I sound rude it's not really my intention but I would encourage the owner/employer to really assess the work of their employees. They should be friendly, fast and good at what they do not one or the other. read more
