An extensive south Indian lunch buffet... each dish with a unique authentic flavor. Freshly cooked food. The bussers do a great job clearing tables quickly. You can often tell the authenticity of an ethnic restaurant by the demographic of the patronage - and this place is darn authentic and tasty. As a side note- South Indian food is generally spicy and so if you are sensitive to spice - take a rain check and find something different cause they are not playing. Ample free parking. read more

Visited this Indian twice now and enjoyed both times. The mix of dishes is a little different to 'regular' Indian restaurants and this makes the experience better. Menu choices are good and portion sizes are just right. Service is always prompt and pleasant. A clean, well lit comfortable joint. read more

Service was great and the food was delicious. Went with a group of 10 with a reservation ahead of time. Interior was clean, spacious, we can't want to come back! read more

We have been living in Johnson County for last 40 years and we frequent Rajdhani almost every other day for dinner. This is first time we went to this place and was very bad experience. The tandoori chicken consist of five drumsticks and not tandoori chicken but only drumsticks. The drumsticks were not cooked fully and it still had blood. We asked for chutney and they wanted $2 each extra and salad they charged $6 but it is no listed on menu. So sad we Will never go back. Service was mediocre. Sorry to say Rajdhani and Many other places are much better. They take care of clients and no charge of chutney. read more

They don't know what the hell they're doing. They're pretty screwed up. Do not ever go or take your family piece of shit. So dirty food was under the table not clean food under the chairs very unprofessional. If they keeping their guest area like this, I wonder how their kitchen inside where nobody see. read more

We came to Aahaa mainly for the dosa, and it was big, crispy, and delicious--definitely the star of the show. We also ordered the paneer tikka and asked for some rice to go with it. Strangely, the server told us it wouldn't pair well with the appetizer and kind of discouraged it even though we know we love the combo. We had to ask five times before the rice finally came out, which just felt unnecessary. If a guest wants rice, why not just bring it? Also, the seating was uncomfortable, which made it hard to settle in and enjoy the meal. That said, between the dosa and the paneer, we were both completely full by the end. I might come back for the dosa, or just order takeout to feel less judged about what I want to even order. read more

Long line on Sunday for buffet but worth it. Many choices- over ten entrees. All were hot. NOT all entrees here are spicy. Most of the entrees are spicy but oddly enough an item called Dynamite Chickenw was the least spicy and actually very mild item on the buffet. South Indian food is more spicy than Northern Indian food so this does gel with the choices here but again there are several less or non spicy items. Plenty of fried mild items too like papadam and fried veggies in addition to idli, biryanis, naan, etc. read more

Delicious. Had trepidation visiting that space, since the prior Indian restaurant housed there was not good at all in my opinion. (horrible?). Was struck by the nicer, upgraded interior and very high staffing level, and greeting by the "front of the house" manager. Staff was all very friendly - and most importantly, the food was excellent. Best pakora I've had in a while. (although it did take too long for the appetizers to come out; also too close to when our entrees arrived). But the entrees were delicious. This might be our new "go to" Indian restaurant. read more

Amazing food, great service and a wonderful spot where every dish is served hot and fresh!

This is probably the nicest Indian restaurant in Kansas City area now. This used to be the old Godavari restaurant but under new management, brand new interior and completely changed menu. This restaurant is catering to a more sit down and fancier crowd than your typical Indian restaurant. The menu prices are probably the highest in Kansas City area but the quality of the food they serve is top-notch. You can tell that by how good their chicken and lamb and goat actually taste, just from the quality of the meat. The inside is large, open and have a full bar now. They have also been very consistent in terms of their spice level so you can safely order your desire level without having to worry about what you're gonna get that day. I recommend their dosa, biryani, and any of the chicken dishes. The chicken 65 is not the completely dry type it actually has like a gravy coating on it. The only thing I do not recommend is the chicken lollipop because it's just too wet and mushy and it shouldn't be that way. read more

Jamie was phenomenal. The food was delightful. She also let us charge our electronics which was a huge help as we were in a tight situation. She made my friend's birthday a memorable one! read more

Had an amazing dinner. Parking is easy to navigate. We love the dragon chicken for starters. We got the butter chicken and it is a must with the naan. Went for the first time and it was excellent. Great service, amazing cuisine, will be back!

Food was absolutely delicious and Patrick our waiter was amazing! Mango Lassi was to die for.

Food as delicious as ever. Service, left much to be desired. Hostess and person taking order (one and the same), an acrimonious blonde who, from tone and personality, would have rather been getting twin toot canals than in the restaurant. Ambiance, cold and sterile. Upscale doesn't mean frigid service, plastic plants and paper placemats! But I think I know why only 4 tables at noon in a restaurant that used to be full! read more

Aahaa has an amazing Indian cuisine, offering an upscale dining experience with attentive service and great lunch menu. I would highly suggest the Mango Lassi drink to go with your meal. read more

Excellent! Our server, Yamini, recommended two dishes that were believably good - as was her service. This is our favorite Indian restaurant!! read more

We'd enjoyed past visits to Aahaa but our recent experience left us worried that it's slipped a bit. The service was spotty, several tables with dirty dishes remained uncleared while we were there, and the staff seemed to be scrambling between tables (though the restaurant was maybe 60% occupied on a Friday night). Our chicken tikka kababs were way overcooked and tough to eat; we would have asked for a replacement but could not find a waitress. We'd ordered naan with our meal and were surprised by the small (compared to other KC Indian restaurants) portion. Prices overall -- such as $26 for maybe 6 to 8 pieces of overcooked chicken cubes -- are just way too high for the amount of food served and the strained service. In fairness, perhaps it was just an unfortunate "off night" and Aahaa will bounce back. We hope so! But it will be a while until we visit again. read more

I had my first experience with Aahaa Tuesday for lunch. Everything was delicious and the service was exceptional. Lisa was our server and she was great about explaining items to us and taking care of anything we needed. She was right when she told us that we would be back often because the food was so incredible. read more

Ordered two items, thali and salad. Thali came with daal, sabzi, rice, Manchurian, dessert, papad and a naan. I wasn't impressed with the flavors and quantity for the price. Salad needed dressing as pecans and oranges add flavor to beet salad but still seemed lacking something. read more

I decided to have dinner here with my husband and some friends and when we got there it didn't take long to get seated which was good, but our food took a long time and we got our plates one by one which made things awkward because we didn't want to eat unless we were all able to eat together. The service wasn't all bad, the waitress was a young girl and she was trying her best. She forgot too add my husbands order so after a long wait we all got our plates except for him. I asked a waiter if there was a wait on his food and he said it was coming up but when she came around she said she never put that order in. After we finally started eating we noticed a hair in the garlic naan... we let the staff know and they apologized and got us a fresh basket. I ordered spicy butter chicken with Rosé and the food was delicious but the Rose wasn't chilled. The ambience was okay but the lights kept flickering. The service was okay, the food was delicious but this place could use some more help. read more

I have ordered carry out from here twice and both times it was excellent. The curries were light and authentic, the tandoori was amazing, juicy and succulent. The rice was perfectly cooked. Everything was stellar and we will be dining here on my dad's bday next month! read more

The dragon chicken appetizer is incredible!!! We ordered everything with medium level spice. My butter chicken wasn't anything special, and tasted completely mild. I definitely would've appreciated more flavor. The juicy lamb was a lot spicier and more flavorful. We were happy with the portion sizes for everything except the naan. Service was perfect though! We will be back, when we're feeling like dropping $100 for two people, which isn't very often. read more

We (a group of 6) chose this restaurant for a birthday celebration dinner for multiple reasons - we love Indian food, it had great online reviews, and it was a restaurant that was new to all of us. We were very disappointed with our overall experience. It took them over an hour to bring all of our food to the table. We watched multiple groups of people (couples to groups of 4) come in after us, eat, pay their checks, and leave while we just sat there. After an hour, the food finally started to arrive sporadically every 5 minutes or so until we all finally had all our plates, and the server never returned to our table until we were done eating. I don't know about you, but having our water refilled once or twice while eating spicy food would have been nice. The food - Great! The service - HORRIBLE. I may return in the future... but for takeout only. read more

food ordered zero hot to mild got on fire hot and waitress had chef remake waited 30 minutes l, waitress said she would comp my meal and didn't. my husband meal came out dry and he's meal came 10 minutes before mine, (4 minutes) so he was completely finished by the time my butter chicken came. I watch a table 6 which seated and ordered before us finally got their meals when we got our check. definetly need to work on timing and temps. I wouldn't go on weekend. read more

I would NOT recommend eating at Aahaa, especially if you have a food allergy. They have items clearly marked gluten free on their menu that are absolutely not gluten free.
