Despite receiving an e mail stating no lock would be put on it I returned to see a lock on it preventing me from removing the trash. Ive been told I have to keep the unit and continue to pay. I have relocated to another state for the military and will not be paying for july. Now I have a bill due for Aug as well. I have rented several units in my life as I move frequently and this is the worst experience I've ever had. Property manager says basically nothing she can do it's on corporate. CLOSE MY ACCOUNT IMMEDIATLY OR I WILL DO MY PART TO SEE THIS FACILITY IS BLACKLISTED. it's not my problem if I planed to have unit clear by end of month and management took it upon themselves to break policy and place a lock on the unit in order to get some extra money from a customer. When I was finally able to get to my designated spot i discovered that the adjacent trailer is parked partially in my assigned location rendering the spot unusable. The clerk was unable to help except to say come back tomorrow. Ok, so is this Oz? I arrived the following morning, panicked as I was on my way to pick up a trailer & needed to be able to park it asap. The clerk assigned a new spot. Talk about skid row, the area looks like a salvage yard...so much for the requirements that vehicles must be in working order as most had flats. And the 'new' spot has no visible lines or location markers so I had to guess that I was not only in the correct location but that I was not in the adjacent spot. Yeah, not even close to the pictures on the Public Storage website. To top things off, despite the failure of the staff to ensure the original location was usable, I was CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL FEE TO MOVE FROM AN UNUSABLE LOCATION! 0 stars, I prepaid a month but am already looking for a new rental space. Perhaps the 428 location is ok but the 429 annex across the street is terrible!

Now I got a notice that they will be raising the rate to $236. When I called them about the rate increase, they said they were allowed to raise rates at any time in any amount they desired. Their operating expenses have not increase that dramatically. They are just greedy and taking advantage of people who have no other recourse. I told him I would be there as soon as I got off work. I showed up and it just so happened that someone before me was interested in the same size. I was so very grateful when John had mentioned that he knew I was coming in and saved it for me. I really appreciate all their efforts to assist me and their friendly customer service. Reached out via Yelp on 8 Nov to get estimates to remove furniture from garage so pics could be taken for selling then place the furniture back into the garage...work to be done on 11 Nov. Care More Movers responded morning 9 Nov and I accepted their bid and selected the 12-2pm window. They said deposit email would be coming that night, it didn't arrive until the following day, 10 Nov, around 5:30pm. Reviewing the doc I noticed no time was listed. I contacted the company to confirm 12-2 as I have other activities planned for the day. Someone responded ARRIVAL between 12-1. I said wait, that wasn't in any of the docs sent. They asked what time, I said 12 with a 15 min window and if you can't, I'll look for another company. No response. At 9:40am on 11 Nov I get a text asking if we were still on for noon as they can have someone arrive by 12:15. I responded no cause when I didn't hear back I had to make other arrangements. Company needs to tighten up their customer service skills. Poor communication erodes confidence in the organization. UPDATE I've lowered the star to 1 because sadly the response from the Company is an out right lie. The one hour window is no where in the email or docs sent to me. On top of poor communication, they are disingenuous. Could have simply said my bad, we didn't tell you. We'll do better next time. To not take responsibility...sad.

I had given up finding help (I called every mover in town) because it was the last Saturday of the month and the rental truck had to be returned by 11:45 am. He said "we got you!" It wasn't a big job, but they were on time and knocked it out in just under an hour. My boyfriend and I couldnt have physically done it (he reinjured some old issues and I'm recovering from multiple hospital visits due to lung issues. These guys saved us and we are forever grateful. We wasted a day. He then said "Oh we can move you tomorrow". We needed to move out today, as per our apartment contract terms. He was very flippant about it and didn't seem to care about getting the job done on time or at all. My mother was in tears by the end of the day. At least we got our money back, but now we're going to have to sleep on the floor for a few days since our furniture is packed up.
