They showed up on time. Started early, completed my 2 bedroom move in 3 hours. They made notes of any prior damage and were just good people. Super informative and easy to work with. A+++ read more

We just used 1st Atlantic a 2nd time to come out of storage and again, great job at great rates. What really impressed me was when they put blankets on the handrails going upstairs so as not to mark them up if the bumped them. Highly recommended. (Sorry, this got posted much later than the move date from last year) read more

Used these folks when moving into my 3 story townhouse and they were life savers. They were punctual and gave it 100%. I didn't feel like a minute of my time or money was wasters. I highly recommend them and would use them without question for any other moves. read more

First time ever using professional movers and what a difference! Fast, efficient and so worth the money! They dissembled (and later reassembled) our beds and daughters cribs, had all materials to transport our boxes from our apartment in Ghent all the way around the building to their moving truck. They also set each bedroom up so immediately it looked cozy. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

We had an excellent experience with Yuri and his team. They arrived on time with all the necessary supplies. The price was quoted up front as an hourly rate and we decided how many guys we wanted on the job. When these guys arrived they were ready to work. They worked as quickly and efficiently as possible. They had the truck loaded in record time, with proper padding around all the items. They respected our requests and worked well together. We have moved several times with military movers and this was a refreshing change. They treated my items with care and unpacked everything when we arrived at the new house. They put the furniture (beds bookcases, and a table) back together and placed the furniture where we asked them to. I HIGHLY recommend these guys for your next move. It was worth every penny! read more

1st Atlantic moved our family's home in Virginia Beach to a single family home at the oceanfront. They did a great job, worked very efficient and fast. They also took very good care of our belongings, everything was wrapped professionally. I will recommend them to all of my family and friends. read more

Awesome experience with these guys. They showed up on time, were very friendly from beginning to end, and did not go slow loading everything up. My friend and I split the truck to save time and $ So we had 2 different pick up locations and 1 drop off location. I was not disappointed with this crew and would recommend them to anyone in the area. read more

I will update this after my move, but I feel compelled to inform customers of how amazing Yuri has been to my family during my move. He has always responded to my calls/texts/emails. He has competitive prices and he even went out of his way to reschedule me when my house closing was unexpectedly changed at the last minute. So far I have been extremely impressed with his professionalism and customer care! I'll update more after my upcoming move. read more

We are military family and 1st Atlantic helped us with a move from Virginia Beach to Florida. They were extremely knowledgeable from start to finish. From the initial phone contact to the in-home assessment to packing up and moving everything down to Florida, I have no complaints. Everything was moved out of our old place and into the new place without any damage. They were friendly, professional and were easy to keep in touch with throughout the entire moving process. I would definitely recommend this family-owned company to anyone looking for a STRESS-FREE move! read more

I've moved a lot for school and work and my move with Yuri was by far the best. I hope to not be moving for awhile but if I do I'd definitely use them again! Yuri took the time to come to my apartment and assess my needs and give me a quote. It's important to note that there were no hidden fees upon delivery and that the flat rate he gave me was what I ended up paying. I've had movers with hidden fees who did not mention that wrapping pictures and mirrors, etc. would cost extra. Before Yuri arrived on moving day he asked me if I had extra boxes and when I said no he brought his own. He did an excellent job in securely wrapping them. Not one single piece of my belongings was broken which I was pleasantly surprised about because other companies had broken some of my things. Yuri was very professional and I felt comfortable putting him in charge of my things. read more

We were very pleased with Yuri and his crew in our move yesterday. He was very flexible and accommodating when our storage location changed at the last moment. The crew was very conscientious and worked very hard all day long, barely stopping for even a drink on a hot day. We will use them again when we move into our home in a couple of weeks! read more

Great move from start to finish: initial response for quote, price, avail when i needed them. Arrived on time and stayed to completion (2 hours longer than originally planned). Courteous and professional. Would recommend for sure. read more

Dear Yuri, thank you for your reply. You seem to think my review isn't fair so allow me to clarify a few things. I had our appointment window being 8-9am, so there was a miscommunication. If it was my mistake, I apologize. I agree that you did not say "if it's old/or cheap it's not our fault," which is why I didn't use quotation marks. Rather, those were the excuses you made for everything your men broke or damaged (except for the door, which you tried to minimize). The speaker stands were moved one year earlier and did not break because they were handled with care. That company broke or damaged one item (not six), took responsibility, and offered compensation. They were far more professional and pleasant to deal with than you. I have attached photos of the damages as a visual aid. That we walked through the house three times hoping to find more damage is either a ridiculous lie made up by you (you weren't there) or by your men. I doubt anyone could check everything over before the movers leave, and we didn't bother trying. Moving out of state is a very stressful experience; I would have much preferred if y'all hadn't damaged or broken anything, but the least you can do when you do is take responsibility rather than argue and make excuses. read more

I had a horrible experience with 1st Atlantic Movers in Norfolk. Owner of company and another worker moved us using pods. They worked for the first hour then seemed to work intentionally slowly to increase the hours. They also did not use any of the packaging materials my husband had bought. Many of our wooden pieces ended up scratched or nicked. It is just a constant annoyance I have to endure daily because I called the first company i saw. I also trusted very positive testimonials listed in their website which was not smart on my part. I hope this review can help someone! read more

Extremely professional, quick, and careful with our belongings. Price was extremely reasonable for the amazing service. Movers were friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend! read more

What an awesome of guys to work with! They were on time, very nice and respectful, and considerate of our property. You cannot go wrong with hiring this company! read more

I had purchased a sofa and loveseat from a local furniture store and had to get it delivered to my place as soon as possible. When I called 1st Atlantic Moving & Storage, the gentleman on the phone worked with me to get my furniture delivered as soon as possible and it was at an affordable price. The two men that helped bring the furniture up to my home were very courteous and kind. They were careful bringing the furniture into my apartment and everything remained in good condition. I definitely recommend this moving company! read more

Yuri and Alex were wonderful! They did a phenomenal job moving my stuff from Newport News to Arlington. They showed up on time, and packed and moved all of my belongings very carefully. They wouldn't allow me to assist at all (I had a habit of picking up a box or two). They didn't take any breaks. They worked hard to ensure that my stuff was disassembled and assembled properly. They are also very honest: there was a slight scratch on a piece of furniture, which they pointed out to me. I wouldn't have even noticed, and it didn't even matter because it's on the backside, and nothing anyone would ever see. I would definitely hire them again. Thank you! read more

When I have another thing to move or I have a friend who needs a mover, I will absolutely and whole-heartedly think of this company first. They showed up with the right sized truck, were on time, and worked VERY HARD! They worked, worked, worked, worked! Definitely got my monies worth plus a whole lot more. Reasonable prices, on time, very professional. If you need to move something, these are the guys to call. read more

I scheduled my move with 1st Atlantic using the Yelp service request. It was great! Yuri (the owner) responded within 20 minutes of my message with his rates and suggestions for how many movers and the size truck I would need. When I had further questions, I contacted him through Yelp a few more times and, again, he responded right away. He called me the night before my move to confirm our scheduled time. The movers were great and very efficient. I only had one broken item, which was a picture with glass that I'd left in the floor in a dark hallway and one of the guys stepped on it because he didn't see it (my fault). Otherwise, none of my items were damaged or scratched. It took 6 hours to pack load and unload a 4 bedroom house in a local move. My only issues were that they were about 30 minutes late on arrival, and several of my heavy items (boxes, bags, pictures) that were clearly labeled to go upstairs were left right at the front door. The team leader seemed to get tired/lazy towards the end and he wasn't super friendly. He decided not to help put together a large item that I requested help with and he asked if I wanted them to put my beds back together in an attempt to not have to do it...we had already discussed that they would, and it was also listed in their services to take down and put together beds. He had a bit of an attitude when I required that they finish what they started. However one of the guys was EXTRA helpful and his customer service was on point..he ended up doing a majority of the work at the end. Overall, I definitely recommend 1st Atlantic! read more
