Brian responded quickly, confirmed that yes, he's installed them before, and gave a me very reasonable estimate after I sent him pics of my gas meter. He put me on his schedule, showed up on time, and did a very professional job installing the seismic shut-off value. I liked him and his work so much, I'm having him come back to install a water line to my fridge's ice maker. I highly recommend Brian!!

I asked the owner, Shawn Masterson, for a bid to place a zone AC system in my 115-year-old house…read more Shawn showed up on time for the inspection of the job. He got the bid to me soon after the onsite inspection. During the inspection, Shawn asked me questions for what we wanted. He offered several solutions for the correct model and most efficient installation. I was consulted on every aspect of the job. When work started, Shawn had all the correct equipment and tools on site to complete the job in one day. Shawn offered the best deal of three bids. The work performed was clean and professional. All areas of work were left in a neat, clean condition. Without reservation, I would recommend Nor Cal Mechanical for any of the services they offer.

I could not be happier with the service Air Tight provided. Evans came out a couple of times and…read moretold me that my system is shot and needs to be replaced, and I'm so glad I got a second opinion. The quote Air Tight gave me for a new furnace was less than half of the one I got from Evans, and Trevor did an excellent job explaining the different install options, and the pros and cons of repair vs replacement. Natalee was able to get me scheduled for an inspection the very next day, and Skyler showed up ahead of schedule (after checking in to make sure it was ok to be early) and finished the repair quicker than I could have hoped--despite the fact that the furnace is deep under the house, with a tiny access point in the foundation. It's so nice to have a cozy house again! The level of communication, integrity, and customer care this whole team brings to the table is beyond rare these days.

Cutting and hauling firewood and pellets is becoming less practical so we decided to have a mini split installed. We called Airtight and it's a good thing we did. Our 150 year old house created several problems that Phil and Jason had to solve but their knowledge and experience got them through. They were pleasant, professional, and worked very hard. I would recommend them to anyone who needs an HVAC contractor.

Travis at Humboldt Renovation and Design is someone you can trust and gets the work done in a…read moretimely manner. I found Travis through the Yelp "My projects" section where I was trying to find a contractor to help us fix a leak in our guest bedroom. We couldn't find where the leak was coming from and I was trying to get price estimates from different contractors to solve the problem. Most of the contractors said they couldn't give a real estimate till they started doing the full project which seemed understandable. What stood out about Travis though is that he made the effort to say for $100 he would assess the issue by cutting out a piece of my drywall and give me a proper estimate. My fiancé and I were on board and happy to see someone take initiative like Travis. Travis then went on to find a pinhole leak in one of our old copper pipes and he right away gave us an estimate that was much more reasonable than other contractors we spoke with. Travis went on to fix our leaky pipes and found out that we replaced the wrong pipe. There was a pipe above the one we saw that was actually the cause of the leak. Travis messaged me and said that he would only charge for the additional pieces (no additional labor for his work), which was super generous and understanding of him. We got this repair done and out of the way in an efficient manner thanks to Travis' diligence. My fiance and I are now having Humboldt Renovation help us replace carpet in our house for "hardwood" vinyl, replacing our shower, and putting in a new dryer vent. I additionally want to add that I has also asked him to replace both of our garage door openers which we signed up to do and later on found out it was covered through our home warranty program. Even though I already signed for Travis to do the work, he was very understanding and let us get the repair done instead by our home warranty service. Humboldt Renovation and Design will be the only contractor we will be using around our house. He is a great person with a sweet family and does great work. Thank you Travis!!!
