wwwA waste of $253.00. Superficial inspection led to techs offering an incomplete diagnoses on a repair and poor recommendation that I never would have ordered if I knew how much it would cost. Issue: Had a dryer that made a loud noise. Called them arranged an appointment for $64.95. Two techs showed up, noticed the drum was off the rollers, suggested I order new roller gasket and felt to fix the issue. Claimed these were the only parts needed to fix the issue. I assume they inspected the drum and it was fine seeing as they didnt mention any damage caused by the rollers. If the drum is off the rollers - it is critical to inspect the drum for damage! They took about twenty minutes to inspect the machine and 15 minutes to order parts for $64.95. Different tech shows up to install the parts a few days later. Estimate for repairs is $253.00, including first appointment. Tech installs parts and then says that the drum is damaged and needs to be repaired - a $400.00 part. Tech says they dont know how long the dryer will continue to function. Calls office to request discount, no discount is offered. The dryer runs but makes a noise louder than it did before I called. Its so loud my neighbors complain until I can get a new dryer installed from Lowes. A sharp chunk of metal fell out the first time I ran the dryer after the repair, tearing up clothes. Now I have a dryer that is louder than even and shreds clothes for $253.00. TIFU: Trusted the first techs had been thorough enough to inspect the drum for damage, since it had been knocked off the rollers. Followed the advice of a professsional who failed to check the most expensive replacement part in the dryer. Ordered replacement parts I didnt need to fix a problem I didnt need to solve. Recommendation: Dont let your mechanic replace a cracked headlight if they fail to tell you the engine block is cracked! Ordered a new dryer for $400.00, but to me its worth $653.00. Would not recommend. Next time I need dryer repair, I will be sure to ask about the conditon of the drum first. I didnt realize it was the customer's job to ask the condition and status of the most critical and expensive part of the machine. Recommendation: Dont let your mechanic replace a cracked headlight if they fail to tell you the engine block is cracked! EDIT: Got a call from someone a few days after leaving this review. I will start with this, when I contacted them he told me if I could be patient, he would be able to help me. I call over a month of waiting for CONTACT is pretty patient. At that point, I emailed in and was told they were sorry it was taking so long and the "repairman" was on vacation. Now 2 weeks later, not a peep. My advice on this service, buy the manual, memorize it, buy a $50 part and fix it yourself, it would be faster. Absolutely the worst service I have seen in many years. Too bad they tarnished the name of Glenwood appliance who always seemed very helpful. If I could give zero stars I would. Don't waste your time or money with these clowns. read more

Still mad. Dryer with loud squeaking. Technician disassembled Samsung small dryer which has a bearing that supports the drum. Tec took a bit of grease off another part of the dryer, put a dab into the now exposed bearing. I thought it was strange, was sure it was a sealed bearing.We paid the $199. Just under two months later, same noise,AAA said they only warranty work for a month. Took dry apart...said it was the bearing...said they had to order one. ( another $250 with service, said they wouldn't charge the $99 diagnosis. I say it was a skam..Find the problem first visit, where they should have ordered a new bearing, but did not so they could come back a second time and make almost $500. I declined their services. Today the Manager of AAA appliance repair called me. He said the Samsung Dryer had new Technology and the Service person who worked on it the first time (and the second time) "". ( a sealed bearing) If that is the case....Why did he work on it he did not understand it? and WHY what I charged $199 for the service Call where the problem was not fixed? I am a customer who is a deaf older lady who wrote a prior review and it was very negative. I'm writing today (April 2023) as I can now recommend this company because the customer service was excellent. Another Technician came out and it didn't even seem like the same company. He was very kind, took time to communicate with me using my whiteboard and kept me informed on what he was doing and what he found out at each step. He thoroughly checked my machine, pulled it out from the wall, ran it, and even got down on the floor and lifted it and looked underneath. He found several other parts that need replacing which I so appreciate because he acted and worked like a professional, while being kind and friendly. He also cleaned up the area before leaving. We just had an AAA tech diagnose a problem with our Whirlpool dishwasher, and I was amazed at how careful, knowledgeable, thorough, thoughtful, and altogether helpful he was. He spent a full two hours on it, dismantling it and using a variety of tools and methods, all for a previously set fixed price. The Eugene area is lucky to have AAA and to have this tech in particular! read more

I am extremely disappointed with this company. They were hired to fix my fridge and I gave permission to enter without me present. When I arrived home I discovered the technician had taken my new, light-colored bath towel from the bathroom and used it to soak up dirty water and debris in the kitchen. They left it stained, covered in gunk, and soaking wet in a pile next to the fridge. This is so disrespectful, unprofessional, and downright rude. I gave permission for them to enter my home, not to use/misuse my personal items. I would have been way more forgiving if the tech had communicated at all--left a note saying "sorry I used your bath towel" instead of just leaving a dirty, soggy mess on the floor. And why doesn't a company that fixes fridges have their own soaker towels?! I emailed the company to let them know what happened and ask for them to purchase me a new towel. They never even bothered responding. And the day after the tech "fixed" the fridge, I awoke to find everything in the fridge frozen solid. I will NEVER use their services again and I would caution others against hiring them as well. read more

My appointment was between 10 and noon. Michael showed up at 10. He quickly fixed the water line in my fridge and replaced the fuse in my stove. He also explained what had gone wrong in the first place and how to avoid blowing the stove fuse again. He was courteous, professional, and didn't spend extra time on stuff to make an extra buck or charge me for unnecessary parts. The person on the phone who scheduled the appointment was also great. I called a few places before making an appointment with AAA, and they were by far the nicest people to talk to. Other appliance repair shops in town didn't even seem interested. I would definitely recommend this business to anyone looking for appliance repair. read more

I contacted AAA back in June 2018 because the timer on my dryer was not working all the time. The tech came out and told me that the machine needed a new timer, but that there was no longer a part available for the Dryer model. He charged me $85 and said that if I can locate the part that he would come back and install it. I believed what the technician had told me and just figured I would continue using the dryer until it stopped working all together and than would buy a new one. I decided that I would contact another Appliance Repair company that was referred to me by my electrician before I bit the bullet and spent the money for a new dryer. I called the other Appliance Repair company and they told me that there are still parts available for my Dryer. I called AAA back today and told them that I was told there are no parts available for my machine, where in fact there are parts available and feel I was mis-informed by the technician. AAA's response to me was that maybe it is just their online sources that don't show it available and if i want to order the part from the other vendor, they will be happy to send their tech out to install it for me, but that they will charge me for the labor and service call. Totally unprofessional and seems to me like all they are interested in is charging money and not willing to go the extra to help their customers. Why should I be charged again when they did nothing for me the first time other than tell me something that wasn't true. I will no longer be using their services!!! read more

My son had to have his dryer repaired. The appointment was at 10am, but the repairman showed up 10:10am and finished at 10:40am (maybe 10:41am?) and charged him for 45min of labor. I thought the travel time should be covered by initial service charge, $64.95. Being 10 minutes late is not a huge deal, but I think it's wrong to start charging before the repairman arrived at the job site. The total came to $190.63 including the initial service charge, a replacement part and labor. When my son tried to pay with $200 cash, the repairman said that he doesn't have any change and suggested that he could just give him the whole thing by adding the rest as a tip. My son felt that he had no choice, but to do so. When my son made an appointment, he specifically asked what kind of payments they would accept because he doesn't own any credit cards. They told him that they would accept cards, check or cash, so I loaned him $200 prior to that. If they can't give any change, why did they say that they would accept cash? Is it customary for them to demand the change as a tip? $30 (15min extra labor that they charged plus $10 demanded tip) is a lot of money for a college student. When I heard that story, it made me feel bad. I felt like my son was taken advantage of the situation. I wrote to a company via their website, politely asking their policy. It's been ten days, but there's no reply yet. After all, the dryer is working now and there's no doubt that the repairman was skillful. I'm not sure how this company runs their business, though. read more

Our experiance with AAA Quality Appliance care was over the top! Micheal,the repair tech was spot on time was, knowledgable about the repair needed,ordered the part, gave us the return time,came back 2 days later,promptily instaled the circut board,and was friendly and proffessional.And (kind and patient to my pestering dad with dementia) The cost was competitive,(saved us from having to buy a new fridge!) Terrible company with zero accountability. Came to "repair" our washer and switched the hot and cold valves which resulted in my clothes shrinking. AAA denies ever touching the valves (as if I reversed them for fun) despite the fact it is impossible to get behind my washer without unplugging them. They then tried to set me on my landlord for compensation. read more

I scheduled an appointment for AAA to come out and look at my dryer because my laundry hasn't been drying since the pandemic started and it was finally time. I had to go to work and left my perfectly capable 1818-year daughter at home. The technician stayed for 10 minutes, said the dryer was heating just fine and asked what the problem was. He told her that the dryer, which is in the same place it's been in for the last 2 years, is too close to the wall. She asked if we just shorten the ventilation coil and he mansplained to her about it would a special piece that he didn't have with him. Then he charged $104 for 10 minutes and the implication that maybe there is "someone handy" around the house who could do it themselves. The invoice I later received said that the dryer was too close to the wall or the hose needed to be redone. Thanks AAA for all that help! I bet he sleeps well knowing he put that girl in her place and took over 5 hours of my income for nothing. If I could give less stars I would. read more

All they cared about was money. Got my part in but had to wait 4 days until they could repair. Then the service guy put my part in and left my machine out and parts laying everywhere. Then when he figured out I was actually paying for labor, he charged me another $40 to put my dishwasher back together and put it back in. 10 minutes of work for $40 extra. Total of $167 for about an hours work. So disappointed. read more

called AAA for refrigerator repair on 9/4/18 & they were able to come out the next day & effectively fix the water leaking from my refrigerator. their prices are very reasonable, they show upon time, & their techs are very knowledgeable. i've also had them out successfully twice before for washing machine repairs. i just wish they offered emergency/weekend services. very reputable local company. i would recommend them to anyone needing home appliance repair. read more

I feel so disappointed and taken advantage after this experience, I don't even know where to begin. My dishwasher stopped working, and as a stay at home mom to a new baby that is really rough. My husband looked at it, and made his guess, but he is not a professional, and works more than 50 hours a week, so we called what seemed like a nice local business to help. The guy came and simply confirmed what my husband said for $65. Ok, well, I have already paid $65, so at that point when the repair man says, here is how much for the part and labor, I think, I'm already this invested, I just want it fixed. After some confusion about me confirming (my fault) they come out a week later to fix it. The new heating element is installed, I write the check, and then my dishwasher is still not working. Apparently the mother board is fried. Long story short, I paid almost $400 to get the whole thing fixed. I basically could have gotten a nice new stainless steel dishwasher. When I paid the initial $65 I should been aware of all of the costs to fix the dishwasher entirely. There was nothing done or said to rectify that they had not diagnosed the entire problem in the first place. This is the first time I have ever taken to Yelp, but the entire experience left me feeling so icky I think others deserve to know. read more

Repair man came I explained the situation clearly as he ignored me while dialing office ,proceeded to put his dirty work boot on a expensive piece of furniture he then rolled his eyes at me ,looked at my home scoffed and slammed my screen door .I shut the main door it slammed shut .he came back said he is calling cops for hitting him with the main door, impossible after screen door shut and locked itself .If you like feeling violated in your own home then this is your place! read more

This business is not honest. I was moving, so I needed to sell my washer, so one employee came to my house and gave me a price. The price was reasonable, so we made a contract. However, on the the move-out day, no one came from this shop. I called this shop a couple times, only to be told that the first person came to my house was "not authorized to offer buying contact." With such abrupt cancellation, I had no choice but to through out the washer. They may have skill to fix your appliance, but they do not have courtesy to keep promise. Therefore, I warn everyone considering using this business to stay away. read more

My experience with this company was a complete disaster. When they first came out they rolled my refrigerator directing onto my hardwood floors, which resulted in deep scratches. They agreed they would repair my refrigerator for free. However, after they did their work the ice dispenser still did not function still. When I asked a repair man before he left he said "oh I don't see an ice dispenser", when there clearly is one over the water dispenser and a large sign in the refrigerator that says "ice dispenser". read more
