I later discovered they never completed a proper background check. The tenant they placed in my home never paid rent (not even once) and never paid the water bill. BMG failed to perform even the most basic due diligence and allowed someone to occupy my property without verifying their qualifications. Their negligence has cost me tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees and damages as I've tried to remove this tenant. Communication was consistently poor, critical information was withheld, and their handling of my property was completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for responsible, competent property management.

When asking for assistance, I was able to find my own solutions before help was provided. The property management company automatically enrolled me in a "benefits package" that serves only the landlord's interests--a scheme to advertise lower base rent while tacking on mandatory fees that provide zero value to tenants. When I opted out of the renter's insurance by bundling my existing coverage and followed their stated process, I discovered I still had to prove my coverage directly to their insurance partner. This means handing over my personal information to yet another company just to avoid being charged for something I've already demonstrated I don't need. This company operates in a predatory manner and offers nothing of value to its tenants. Avoid if you can.

We have had no hot water in our kitchen sink and sent an email to the Real Property Management Pros. An automated work order was established. We were notified that no one could come out until Friday (Thursday was Thanksgiving - and try hosting Thanksgiving without any hot water in your kitchen...) a veritable cornucopia of frustration. Plumber showed up on Friday (two hours late). He diagnosed the problem and said he had to check with the company prior to fixing (it needs a new spigot). Apparently a new one is over the allocated limit - so they had to check with the owners. Here it is Sunday evening and still no hot water... My wife and I are retired military and have always left rental properties better than we've found them. This property management company makes me want to start "treating it like a RENTAL!" Too bad for the owners - I'm sure they're nice people.
