This comment is not about this specific office, but AAA Auto Insurance NorCal in general. They constantly, repeatedly, annually, frequently screw up all kinds of documentation related to our insurance. first and last names, vehicles, who drives what, who is named insured and who isn't, policy quotes, updates. One would think that after being with them for 10 years, they would get it right after continuous fixes to the information, but no. Of course more than 70% of CSRs are also not sufficiently trained on the tools for any challenging questions. For an insurance organization this size that is terrible. The only reason we're still with them is that the rates are lowest for liability policy. read more

Im prep for a trip to Europe where I will be driving a lot, I picked u pan International Driver's license. The last time I did this was at the AAA in Seacaucus NJ before hitting Spain. The lady helping me was friendly fast and efficient. cant say the line to pay however was fast or efficient, Though they were friendly. There's some crazy construction going on outside so it looks a bit like a warzone. However I got what I needed and got the heck outta there read more

There's something really cool about being able to go into a place, show them a card, and have them hand you a whole pile of things for free. It's like being in a secret society! Except without the paddles. I dropped in today to get some maps for an upcoming road trip. The incredibly friendly lady at the front desk handed me three maps and two guidebooks and I was on my merry way. Hooray! For that I'll overlook the fact that their website wanted me to take El Camino to 237 to El Camino in order to get to their office. Best not use their site for directions, methinks. read more

Came to the CSAA Mt View office today Sat 5/27/17 but they are closed today. Yelp forgot to update the hours to Closed instead of Open today. I do want to thank a nice gentleman from this office who took my call today who told me they are closed for the Memorial Day weekend. Dear Yelp: please be attentive to holiday hours. Thank you, Aiko read more

I needed to have my Application for Disabled Placard processed. Not only was it processed but I got a pleasant surprise - a temporary placard! read more

I have visited this AAA branch and others in the last couple years. Mountain View is by far the most welcoming and helpful at the DMV counter specifically. I would highly recommend them. read more

The AAA folks who work the DMV are always helpful and provide detailed instructions with any title changes, renewals, or suspensions that happen with my vehicles. It's also nice that they're open on Saturdays. Thanks AAA! read more

This is a review for the international driver's permit process, which was so easy. The folks here at AAA Mountain View were all smiles from beginning to end. Mary, who helped me with my permit, was awesome. In and out in five minutes. read more

I read some reviews on Yelp and asked Mark Jackson for a quote for my auto insurance and renters insurance. He replied very quickly for the quote and worked on it immediately. I got a fair price from AAA for my insurances. And Mark Jackson is a responsible guy to do business with! He explained me everything in details over the phone about my auto insurance and renters insurance. And he was very patient to repeat many details and answer my questions. It took him an hour on the phone until he had to leave for the office. He even tried to use a different coupon code to lower the rate. Get quotes from multiple companies and try Mark Jackson from AAA. If his quote is fair enough and do business with him, you shouldn't be wrong! read more

We rarely have to wait long at this DMV satellite office. And Mary is very helpful with maps, etc. Parking can be tight at times due to other nearby businesses sharing the space. read more

I tried using the call center 800 number and thought everything was going great but apparently not. The call center didn't properly cancel an older policy and couldn't refund my money and didn't even know where my money was. Frustrated, I went to the AAA office and instantly and thoroughly everything was quickly and efficiently resolved. I was even able to get my costs reduced and increase my coverage. For any future changes, I will definitely go to the office and save the online/phone service for simple payments. read more

Wow! what a breeze with which DMV work got done. I purchased my lease vehicle and had to do title transfer, required to be completed within 10 days per California rules. The earliest DMV appointment available was 28 days away, so I had no choice and decided to go without appointment in coming days. Just by chance, I checked AAA site to see if they handle title transfers, and Yes the answer I got. Without waiting any further I decided to give it a try, however with low expectation, expecting that they will turn me back asking for more paper work or smog check, extra. To my surprise, I was in and out of AAA Mountain View office in 10 minutes. All they needed was Certificate of Transfer and ID proof and AAA membership number. I paid the DMV taxes and fees, no extra charge for AAA members, and walked out of the office. Just awaiting my registration papers from DMV now, which I am told can take upto 4 weeks. Given past experiences dealing with DMV for license and ID cards, I definitely saved upto 4 hours of my life. Amazing AAA, I have used them only for car rental booking with Hertz in past, but didn't use any other service. Now I am convinced to continue this membership as long as I can. read more

I went in to renew my car license and the service was super fast. The cashier knew what I needed and processed the renewal application without any problems. i got the sticker and receipt quickly and was out the door in less than 5 minutes. read more

Five stars for being my being my local DMV. I can register our cars anytime during business hours (M-F 8:30-5:30 and Saturday 10:00-2:00), sometimes with no wait, (go before or after lunch hour), PLUS great AAA service people helping you vs. disgruntled civil servants. Lots of parking, too. Five stars for roadside service, which pays for itself after the first call - and if I need help here in Mountain View, often comes within 10 minutes. read more

Super fast and very nice, helpful people. DMV services offered in a very convenient location, with efficiency.

This review is about AAA branded auto batteries that AAA towing service sells to customers when they request road service for jump starting their car. Although the road service response is excellent and prompt, the quality of the batteries that they sell is very low. These batteries are very pricey and of low quality. Although they give 3 years warranty, the batteries will not live more than a little over 3 years. So your warranty might be most likey over. Normally most of the leading brands of batteries work fine for over 6 to 7 years and they are cheaper than AAA batteries. So next time when your battery fails and if you call AAA, the towing guy will try to sell AAA batteries. But never ever buy those low quality batteries. Instead ask for just jump starting your car and drive up to near by Sears, Walmart or Costco and buy better battery from there. Their batteries are of far better qulaity and chaeper price. This advise is based on my experience in using batteries from AAA, Sears and Costco during last 10 years on many cars. read more

Jeffrey Alapar is awesome as my insurance agent. He helped me cancel GEICO, which is much more expensive - by the way - and he also was generally helpful and always willing to answer my questions. I also love my yearly AAA membership and they have always come to my rescue when needed. The ONLY reason this place got 4 stars in my book, is because the lady at the front, who obviously sits there to direct people and help them, was rude and doing her own thing. She didn't help me get to the DMV section AT ALL and should not be paid to sit there doing NOTHING. read more

They've completely deceived me. They promised me competitive prices and after only ONE YEAR, they've raised my insurance Tony $400- THEY DIDNT CALL ME TO TELL ME THIS- they just sent an email letting me know. Unbelievable.....stay away from this place read more

This is the 3rd time I have gone in this location and received rude, bad attitude service. I went in to book a vacation. The helper "Jasmin" (dark headed) absolutely was not interested in helping. I became unsure if they even did this sort of thing, but I recall seeing an ad that they did and someone else in the place said they did. I had hoped to at least get some ideas about planning even if they didn't do this. They don't want to help. I am giving this 2 star because she did alert me to the complete abysmal ignorance concerning service dogs that should NOT exist in this industry. It should be a #1 training point before being hired. So, this made me realize that there are lots of Jasmines out there who don't want to do their job and don't know what they are doing are generally ticked off with the world...and I better prepare for that. She is who I am trying to avoid on this trip and why I want to plan now. So, thanks for pointing out that the training in this field is really poor. I decide not to waste my time with AAA services and go with American Express and other providers. Everyone I asked after I left while out shopping said that I should use online services. I don't even mind paying for good help with this. It seems that the "in person" services just don't exist anymore. I am not sure we are going to renew our services with AAA. American Express and some others offer the same thing...and it appears better. I won't go back to this location again. 3 times and you are out. read more

Registration, travel stuff, insurance.... one stop shop to save time, save money... sounds good in my book. I did get quite a bit of pressure one time to get an additional line of insurance when I first moved stuff over from State Farm.... but that blew over for a little while. I wish I had a AAA more convenient. read more

I know of three incidents in the last year, two related to me and my wife and one for a friend. In all cases, AAA was extremely prompt and went out of their way to get to a complicated location and help out, whether it was a silly lockout (2 of the cases) or a dead battery (the 3rd one). Kudos! read more

Very happy with the service I received. I was able to walk in with a late registration and walk out with a sticker so that I was able to drive the vehicle with current plate tags immediately. read more

I called the agency to transfer my policy from MI to CA. To my surprise, the quote I received was much higher than MI, which is a no fault state and the most expensive policy in the country. When I asked for the reason, the representative, Francis, responded by saying "I'm sure people in MI don't drive Teslas and we do here in California!" and she hung up the phone! Even though I'm not from MI, I am appalled but the response and attitude. read more

Great service and friendly staff! The DMV assistance is so efficient. I recommend going in the mornings during the week.

The DMV services are great! Going to AAA is much faster than the DMV, and AAA agents have better customer service. The clerks are very informative and friendly. read more

The reps who work here are always kind and knowledgeable. Just a shame they only have 2 people working the side desk to help with payments, registration, etc. This is that we always need to physically come in for, and it is always a wait. Lots of employees working around the building, but only 2 max working customer service. Again, they are always lovely and super helpful, but it does them a disservice to not have another employee or two step in when needed. Often one of the people working behind the desk has to leave to do an inspection. Just frustrating. Great services. We have been AAA customers for a long time and they come in handy when you need them. Just wish they were a bit more staffed to deal with customers, as a customer service based business. read more

This AAA recently had a a complete remodel and interior upgrade. It looks great! Always go to this AAA to renew my vehicle registrations and the young man that works in the AAA DMV is fabulous. He know his stuff and takes care of you fast, quick and a hurry with kindness. I also go here to get maps when I need and I have also had plastic keys of my cars made here. You know the kind that help you out if your lock yourself out of your car and you just need to be able to unlock the door and get in. read more

All I have to say is Mark Jackson is your guy for any kind of insurance. He made my stress levels drop by alleviating all the worries of getting car and renters insurance. He even did it on his day off. If I could I would give him 10 stars. I feel at home when I go to AAA Mountain View. Great job Mark. Will be referring more people that's for sure. read more

Absolutely top-notch experience here today. They handled a ton of business I had in a very professional and efficient manner. Would definitively recommend for any automotive need to any person with a car. Even if you don't have a car having a membership has been extremely helpful. 10/10 read more

If I could give this location a negative star I would. I called the office number hoping I could save sometime to get my vehicle registration and skipping the line at DMV. I called about 11:00am and was instructed to leave my name and phone number and someone will call me back. 5 hours later still no call. As I'm writing this review its been 27hours later and yet to receive my call back.. Well I finally went to the dmv office and luckily the wait was only 45min. With this kind of low AAA professionalism I will be moving to ALLSTATE INSURANCE. I think your in better hands with ALLSTATE. THANKS AAA. read more

I waited at the Santa Clark DMV for 20 minutes past my appointment time the day before. I got frustrated and left. The next day my wife reminded me that we have AAA. I went over, was warmly greeted and directed to someone who could help me. My title paperwork was processed in 5 minutes and I paid the fees with a credit card. I was out of there in 15 minutes. If you value your time, consider using AAA for your DMV needs exclusively. read more

Do not go there if you are colored. It's mostly for white people. Of course it's closer to Los Altos and "Beverly Hills" area. You know America is not officially language of English. It's mix of many different languages. I wanted to speak with a Spanish agent, one white woman said "No you can't." Forced me to speak with English people. I do understand English complete but that day I feel like I want to speak Spanish. It's my right! But I went ahead speak with a "English" agent. I don't think if I'm planning to return to this office in the near future. People, you have the right to speak any languages. Maybe I have to go to the poorer and ghetto town. They speak lot of different languages. read more

Terrible service! One line for all payments incl DMV services. Shameless plug: If you are searching for auto insurance, I really recommend AAA. They have absolutely the best service I have ever experienced. Whether you are stuck on the road, want some good discounts on admission tickets, or need in-person advice, they really do have your back. And fortunately, they have LOTS of brick and mortar locations all-around. But, if you are located in the South Bay Area, I DON'T recommend visiting the AAA in Mountain View unless you have to. And it's not even because there's anything wrong with the quality of the service here. It's because of the location. Recently, I needed to pay a visit to a AAA to pick up a map of Tahoe for an upcoming trip (Yep, members get free maps!). The closest location to me was the AAA in Mountain View. This spot is on Miramonte Ave, right next to El Camino Real. Usually, you'd think that such a location is very accessible, especially because it's nearby one of the most traveled streets in the Silicon Valley. But NOPE, as of August 2017, they've been doing a lot of construction around the AAA. And so parking is VERY restricted. Plus, the AAA shares the same building as a medical office, which means that MANY customers will be using the same lot as AAA's for visits. Hence, chance of getting a parking spot (in an already small lot) is pretty close to zero. When I came, I was forced to find parking on the street and walk over. Sure, exercise is a plus, but if you are a reputable business that serves many people, you need a better parking lot/location. Luckily, the service inside this AAA was great (as usual)! I recommend coming a bit earlier in the day, or not during rush hour, because this place does get crowded; if you need to file paperwork, get tickets, or anything regarding $$$, you will have to wait in a longer line. Otherwise, if you just have a quick question or need maps, there's a quicker station right in the front! I was able to get in and out in less than 10 minutes! The person helping me was also very speedy as well. Overall, I give this AAA in Mountain View a "tolerable, sufficient for sustenance" rating. I don't like the location of the place, but the service here was great. If you must, come here. Otherwise, there should be AAA locations elsewhere that give you a much, much easier time with parking. Drive safe and prosper, read more

Rey Tiopo at AAA in Mountain View was very helpful with my home insurance. I'd recommend him if you need help.

Our experience with dmv services was seamless. Stacy is amazing and really knows her stuff. Highly recommend going here for dmv services!!! read more

Excellent & quick service. Employees are nice and helpful. I got my International permit in just 5 minutes.

Went back later and got a different person who was fantastic and processed all my DMV needs. Just got the wrong person the first time.

Every time I call them, they are so rude. I stopped calling them cause the guy always has an attitude. Saratoga AAA Is so much better
