Helpful and courteous. I like this branch much more than the Pleasant Hill one. Plenty of parking in the Veranda mall. They were even able to help me get my international drivers license. read more

Went to get an International Drivers License for our trip and we had THE FUNNEST EXPERIENCE!! Amelia helped us out and was such a joy. My husband commented as soon as we walked out how much fun she was and knowledgeable. We just talked talked talked while she filled out the paperwork. Really great experience with Amelia. read more

Excellent service and very helpful. Lilly helped us with transfer of title and insurance last week. I've been a member for over 50 years and have never been disappointed with their service and attention to detail. read more

James was incredibly condescending and unhelpful. When I expressed concern about their appointment times, he suggested that "we all have to take a day off to take care of our business." James, take a day off and work on your personality. read more

This is a shout out and a BIG "Thank You" to Von. He is the kind AAA tow truck driver who rescued me and my disabled vehicle. Von is a great representative of the quality people at AAA. Last night (Saturday 1-17-26) around 9 pm my VW van had an electrical malfunction. I was able to coast over to the shoulder on Highway 4 in Martinez. Pitch black, no lights, no power. My cell phone was down to 8% and AAA responded immediately to my call. I have been a customer since 1989 and so appreciative for their emergency services. Thank you Von and AAA. You both deserve big kudos ! read more

Had a small fender bender on 11/9/25 and after 3 calls and one email, my claims representative has yet to call me back. I even left a message with a supervisor and no reply. I've never made a claim on my car insurance and after this, I will probably cancel AAA and find a new insurer. I've been with them for 40 years!! Maybe someday I'll get my car fixed. read more

I needed to fix a title transfer that was filled out incorrectly and this office really helped out. I thought I would need to do a title replacement, but they helped me with an error form, statement of facts, and odometer information. I got the forms, got everything filled out and came in and only waited about 5 minutes before I was helped. We got all the forms finalized and paid a small transfer fee. I think I was there for less than 10 minutes! Great to have this location available for DMV issues. read more

Needed an international driving permit and decided to go to this Veranda branch. The office was spacious with nice waiting area. The concierge lady asked me to complete an application, took my photo and then referred me to one of the staffs at the counter to process paperwork. It took about 15 minutes to get the IDP done and the staff was pleasant and professional. read more

My tire blew out on the freeway at 4am, after fumbling through the app I have a new zip code etc but anyway after finally signing in I was contacted by a driver who was very polite and gave me information and eta. When Sam ( I think) arrived on maybe 10 min he treated me like I was royalty. He made sure I was safe explained the process, he even opened the door to the car door for me. I felt spoiled, it's really the little things that count. Sam should train all employees all over the world on customer service. He definitely went above and beyond. Sam made the entire process stress free, he dropped my car off and the keys as I went home and waited for shop to open. Well worth the money considering it's a membership so I paid nothing out of pocket. read more

Omg ridiculous. Registering car. They sent us for smog. Fine. But came back they told us we had to wait in line again and WE HAD MADE AN APPOINTMENT! Back of the line. Had to wait 45 minutes. Why make an appointment? We were just dropping off not starting from scratch! The counter lady was nice. She gets five stars. read more

They were very nice and gave me everything I needed to get my account active from Southern California and renew my registration thank you

I seriously went to 2 DMV offices on a Wednesday morning with 2+ hour wait times. Then I remembered I had AAA. I stopped by the Concord office which is down the street from the DMV and there was no line! Yes, you have to social distance, yes you have to wear a mask, and yes there are sanitizing gels. I'm sorry I didn't get her name but she helped me transferred title and the trailer of my boat. What an amazing positive experience and absolutely worth the AAA membership. 5 star service today. read more

Been a member for over 20 years, now all of a suddenly our vehicle doesn't qualify for roadside assistance due to the lumber rack. The vehicle is a 1998 Toyota PU. Used daily as a regular vehicle. Worst AAA branch I've been to. I arrived on a Wednesday around 2pm thinking how bad could it possibly be.. a weekday and in the middle of the day. Oh how I was wrong.. I walked in and saw a few people sitting and waiting around, didn't look too bad. No one greeted me, I asked a lady at the closest desk if I should just sit and wait, she took my name and I sat down. A few minutes later another customer walked into the door and the woman at the desk told her "its going to be a 2 hour wait, do you want me to put your name down?"...what.... excuse me...?! Why didn't you tell me this!? I got up and walked out the door. This wasn't even my first bad experience at this location and my husband has also has many complaints about this branch. Neither of us will be wasting our time here again. read more

I've been a AAA member for many years, and I've been coming to this branch as Bryan Woodland has been our agent for me and my family for many years. Never had an issue at this branch as the staff is or used to be very attentive. I visited the branch with my partner as he recently acquired AAA car insurance and we went to make a payment, someone at the DMV desk helped us, my partner gave his info to make the payment but the look on her face and her whole demeanor changed once she heard my partner had an accent, I was just listening but you can tell when you are not welcomed somewhere, I intervened and proceeded to communicate with her, she asked me to repeat what I was saying, hence my English is perfect yet she seemed to have that face of not understanding what I was saying, I then automatically changed my way as I normally do when I encounter this type of people, I proceeded to explain with pears and apples and somehow she got it! After that tedious and unnecessary explanation we were told someone else would help us, did not look at me in the eye while this was happening and still had that look on her face, didn't even thanked us, we sat there and didn't even showed us where to go or who to see. I played the game and just sat there, then she finally told me to have a sit in the lobby and someone from member services will help us, How easy would that has been should she just had said that from the begging!!!! Anyway this whole narrative is to make this branch aware of the type of service or lack of, that's been provided to clients that don't fit the standards of appearance to this particular associate, and possibly remind her or anybody with this type of attitude that they are working for people of different races and looks, and if that's such a problem maybe they should not be working with the public, and realize we are helping to provide their paycheck ‍ or at least leave the nasty racist attitude in the break room. read more

I've been in here at AAA a few times the past 3 months for various reasons. I came in for registration, adding a new driver and adding a new car to my family plan. Every time I've been in I have always been greeted and the line moves so quickly. The other day I was helped by Danielle. She was very friendly and helpful in explaining the insurance. Toni who I believe is the manager or supervisor, was very professional and friendly and was making sure everyone was being helped. read more

My vehicle had issues with Release of Liability so I wasn't getting renewal notices from DMV. After coming through a couple of years of financial duress, I was finally in a position to address my registration but was shocked when the AAA rep printed out a $819 bill. I asked for an explanation & was told it included penalties. I asked for a breakdown of how much in penalties vs the cost of registration. She printed a piece of paper with a bunch of codes on it but could not explain the breakdown I asked for. I asked if I could appeal it; she said I had to go to DMV for that. In order to move forward, I just paid the bill so I could get Legal & deal with DMV later. AFTER billing my credit card, she THEN told me my registration is still incomplete & I needed a Smog. Disoriented by the huge bill & bizarre lack of information, I simply nodded and said Okay. I took my car for a Smog and it didn't pass. I feel it would've been proper customer service had she advised me to get the Smog BEFORE paying nearly $1,000 for a car that might not even pass Smog! I could've invested that money into a better used car. She should've said something about the Smog before processing my credit card! read more

Nice AAA branch location in the new Veranda Shopping Center where there is plenty of parking and no wait in line! The greeter upon entering has been a different person each time -- sometimes welcoming -- sometimes not, depending on who it was that day. However, staff is always available at the window to process paperwork and assist with any questions. It's very convenient to have DMV services inside the AAA insurance office, which saves a trip to the nearest DMV office in Concord. read more

ZERO customer service here! Came in to use the DMV services (one of the benefits of having AAA!) and was turned away because they stop DMV services at 4.30pm, and it was 4:45. Absolutely NO customers were inside, so I asked of there was any way to just just do the paperwork and they said no, because services end at 4:30... I asked if it was a system issue or a policy and I was told it was a policy. So that means that they just didn't want to help me. Very disappointed in people right now read more

This was my first time at AAA at the Veranda. To give you an idea of where it's located, AAA is across from Whole Foods 365, and is in the same area as Peet's Coffee. I was very surprised with the layout of this office. Once you enter, a person checks you in asking for your name and reason for visit. There's an electronic member queue on the wall that shows your place in line for either 1. DMV, 2. Member Services, or 3. Insurance. Take a seat on one of their comfy chairs and wait for your name to be called. There is also a table with tablets and outlets (I assume a charging station) where you can use their free WiFi to kill time or fill out forms. The office is very sleek but small. The downside is the wait for DMV. They only have two people working so on my phone I go. Check Facebook, Instagram...Snap a few photos for Yelp. ;) Hmmm...maybe that's why they have outlets and free WiFi? Oh and you can also help yourself to a beverage. Luckily I was in no rush today. I also visited Insurance. No wait. Yay! Both ladies were very friendly and helpful. But because of the long wait, I'll probably stick to doing my business online or over the phone. read more

if I could leave negative stars, I will leave a negative ... I am a AAA roadside service customer, my husband was towed November 24. I have called now four times to try to get the receipt from the tow truck company that AAA uses which is Walnut Creek fleet because my husband had cash on him over $300 to pay for a tow the tow truck driver did not give him a receipt and AAA is taking forever to help me get any type of receipt proving we paid one person says yes we have, the number the case and we sent off the referral to send you the receipt. The next person says no there isn't one will have to send another referral for receipt called back again. Got disconnected called back again. He says there's no case number for the request for the receipt and that it doesn't look like we paid anything AAA is the worst. . Also, my mother-in-law was in a car accident. Somebody hit her and rolled her car. She has AAA, and she didn't have full coverage because it's a 20-year-old vehicle and she is an elderly lady and is on a budget so this lady hits her and she rolls her car she files a claim and AAA says well we can't do anything for you? You didn't have full coverage but here's the claim number you can call for the other insurance company and you can call and figure it out helping her. She's never been in a car accident how to speed ticket perfect customer we can't deal with you because you didn't have full coverage you have to figure it. read more

AAA towing sucks ask me why Called for a tow as my 68 GMC truck smelled like fuel. I will guess there's probably a leak but I'm not a mechanic so I'm going to have it towed to the shop so they can check it out. The AAA towing representative said oh we can't toy you'll have to have the fire department clear it go why would I do that because it's leaking fuel I said OK but I don't know it's leaking fuel I smell fuel I don't see fuel I look under the hood everything looks fine but yet I smell it so are you going to tow it or should I drive it to the shop oh you should do that you should have the fire. CSAA was once a valued service. Today, CSAA simply lives on the reputation of what they once were. They have become the model of subscription charges for something that has now backing service. They suggest they offer quick roadside service, with wait times exceeding 3 hours. They claim to offer DMV services, but anything that requires more than what an envelope and a stamp would do baffles them, and you are redirected to the DMV. You even want a map, go online, order one it they happen to have them in stock, and then wait weeks. $90 a year for what? Not worth the additional stress ana lack of service. read more

Come here for DMV services. It was quick and easy. Get your passport photos here too.

I went there a half hour before closing to get a replacement disabled placard. I had to wait while 5 people talked about how to get into the DMV system... close to 20 minutes I watched them try to get signed in and talk about leaving work and what they were going to do. The one woman finally asked for my form and then said that the doctor filled it out wrong. The three had a slightly long tail on it but it was clearly a three for six months from now. They refused to process it and then laughed as I left the office after I told them they were incompetent. No one deserves that kind of treatment. They were more like a social club instead of an office focused on helping people. read more

They are cancelling policies for debris without warning so that they can cancel insuring ppl for fire protection all together. I have been a customer on and off with them for decades. My policy was cancelled without the ability to remedy the issues of debris which occurred while I was I'll and working 12 hr shifts 6 days a week for months. Even though I have several policies with them. Would not allow me to remedy the issue within the week and keep my policy and gave no warning before hand so I could before being terminated. They do not care about your business. For a car accident I was not at fault for they would not request video footage that would prove it delaying the claim and costing me money. They are not the company they used to be. Not worth the additional cost people would pay for better easier service. read more
