We were clients for many years , maybe 10 or more. My husband always handled the taxes throughout our marriage. This last tax season I called them early in the year ( Jan or Feb I think ) to ask some questions and get some information since it was the first year I would be filing by myself in 20 years. I left messages via phone and never got a return call. I finally emailed and was told my tax man's voice mail wasnt working. So I requested a meeting with him (via email ) which I had to email twice just to be told he didn't do in person meets any longer and would have to do a phone meeting. Now we are in March. The communication was terrible, the response time did not seem important to anyone. All I got was an email of the documents that were needed to prepare my taxes, so I went with that and made an appointment to come drop them off. I went in and still could not speak to the person who had been doing my taxes for 10 years AND the charge was the same as when we filed jointly ! The customer service was TERRIBLE for someone who had been a client for so long! So, I went to H&R Block instead , and they were GREAT ! All G3 had to do is treat me like a long time loyal client that mattered! Bye bye G3 ... never coming back ! read more

Not sure what happened to their customer service. I filed my taxes in March of 2022. It's December 2022 and after multiple emails and phone calls I've yet to receive any response. I was recommended by a friend and recommended another friend based on 2021 service but now regretting that decision. Stay away. read more

I apologize for the very late review. I have been a customer of G3 consultants for about 10 years. These guys are professional and have never had any issues every tax filing year. I receive prompt updates without "following up" with them, which is always a plus. If there are any possible / potential documents, you will be notified in advance before your taxes are filed. I would recommend these guys for the great work they do. You don't have to be local for them to provide service. They have an option for people to upload their documents directly to their site. They did my tax because it was recommended to me by a friend. But when it comes to get audit by the IRS they wont help you. When they filed my tax, i had a gqmbling winnings which they did not included. She even told me she will submit a loss. Now that i got audited she said it womt make a difference. When i did my tax on my own I was able to apply that on my tax. Never comimg back to this place again. As they will leave you hanging. U pay so much yet when in trouble your on your own. I called about 3 times and they said Glen will call me and now today is the last day and no call. My co-worker recommended to try them out, I was hesitant at first because I don't have the time to commute all the way to Concord. I called anyways, and I got assistance from Glenn. This process literally took 2-3 days for everything to be completed (general info, forms, etc); this was all thru via e-mail and phone. They charged me $120 to prepare my taxes, but as a first time customer they discount $20 off the total. I got my tax refund back in a week and couple of days! Glenn did an awesome job collecting all the necessary information that was needed to assure me that there would not be any discrepencies in the future (as I did with previous tax preparers). Pricing lost them a star, will explain later on. To start, Kathryn was great. She broke everything down to our level and answered all our questions. We spent a good bit of time discussing ways to increase my deductions for next year too. She quickly helped us on a problem from last year's return and whipped up an amendment. Pricing. We knew going into the appointment knowing they charge by the "form" and to expect to pay $100 - $150 for a married/joint return. Which we think is a reasonable fee for the knowledgeable service they provide. Our problem came with the price of our amendment. For the 5 min that was spent on it we couldn't believe we were charged $120 for it. We get that pricing is based on the whole new "form" she created but we wish there was some consideration on how long it actually took to produce. read more

I have been going to Gary for about 3-4 years. I absolutely love him. He is very knowledgeable at what he does. Most importantly, he is very honest. Because I rent, I don't have much to write off (other than my kids, daycare and student loans). Gary gives me good advice, recommendations and suggestions as to what I can do so that I don't over bracket the following year and end up owing. I was a customer for the last few years and that means I've aged too. There were required documents I had to submit because they were missing on my first attempt . As a 61 year old who is technically challenged I felt like I was talked to like I was in my 40's. If I offended him when he called me an hour early from my phone appointment when I said " oh I thought my appointment is not for another hour" then I'm sorry. I was in clinic for an appointment so I was taken aback. So the tax preparer did say I'm missing four documents ( because we re financed) and he said to a 61 year old" are you writing this"? Like he has mentioned it a gazillion times. Then he said I will only call you again if you're paperwork is all complete. This time my son helped me and submitted what I thought he needed.
