Wonderful job on alterations! I had several dresses taken in and shortened. I got a call midway through the work to come back in so she could double check if they needed more taken out before she hemmed them. The owner is very patient and really works hard to discuss the in's and out's of the different routes one could go when alternating clothes. Her and her daughter get extra stars for being SO sweet to my toddler each time we went in. Furthermore, she stuck to the original deadline, even though I was not in a rush. Best tailor I've had in a long time! I am very petite and typically have to get a lot of clothes tailored, and AA Alterations has done a fantastic job each time. Over the last 6 months I've taken numerous types of items to her, and only once has she had to tweak it since she was taking a pair of pants down a whole size. She has also done work for my husband, with great results as well. She is honest and will tell you if something will be a very extensive alteration and might not be worth doing, or limitations to what can be done. Prices are reasonable, and turn around times are fair. Everything has always been completed by the date she promised, or a couple days earlier. Prom season does get busy, so be aware. I also love that they are open Saturdays 9-2pm. read more

I came in needing to shorten the length of my pants and suit jacket sleeves and she was very nice and accommodating throughout the whole process. She really cared about making sure that it was tailored to my liking and that everything was perfect. I needed it done within a week and I received a call two days before the day she said it would be done by! Yvonne does great work for us and it's always on time. Moving here from NC, I needed to find a great alterations person for my family. We have had her hem 4 pairs of jeans, tailor a pair of jeans from wide leg to more narrow, and replace a broken zipper. She can do this great hem for jeans she calls "tricky hem" where she somehow is able to keep the natural bottom seams so that your expensive new jeans keep the look they were made with - versus looking like they were hemmed. I plan to bring more items to her. She stands behind her work, cares about how things turn out, and has been a pleasure to work with. Rude! I walked in and asked if they could repair the zipper on my baby bag while I waited...she said NO I won't repair zippers at all. Then I showed her a tear on another bag on the seam...before I even presented it to her to look closer she said, I won't fix that either! I have never heard of alterations not fixing a seam or zipper...will ever return here. read more

Very rude! First time I went in they were pleasant & did a great job with hemming. Second time, good work but lady was a bit rude. Third time was the last straw. Rude for no reason & other lady in the back was watching & I guess feeling uncomfortable, started giggling like an idiot! Evan, who I presume to be the shop manager or owner was very accommodating for an emergency suit alteration. She was able to get my suit back to me by the end of business the following day and didn't hold me hostage for an extra fee. The price at this shop was about half of Ace Tailors in Barton Creek Mall and much, much faster. read more

I ended up going here because it was close to where I live. I needed to have alterations done on a bridesmaids dress. I needed to shorten the dress and take some in from the waist. It was about $60. I'm not sure what the prices are for alterations or if this is reasonable. The staff was friendly and they were able to get my dress done in a week. There is a 15% coupon on the website. I had 2 pairs of suit pants taken in and the quality and speed of their work was great. I normally wear a 32 in the waist but these were size 34. I came in, got sized up quickly and got my estimated pick up date/time. They called me the day of to tell me the pants were ready and when I tried them on, they were just what I expected. A great place to get your clothes altered for a great price. Only drawback is that they're closed on weekends, so if you're used to running around/errands on a Saturday/Sunday this isn't the best option for you. Other than that I highly recommend. Quality work! read more

I've used AA Alterations a few times, mostly because of their location to my house. The claim ticket says they are open on Saturday's. But, when I drove over there on Saturday to pick up my garment, they were in fact closed. "That's okay, I'll go Monday after work because they're open until 6:30PM", I thought to myself. Raced to get there by 6PM after work on Monday only to find they were once again CLOSED. Nothing more frustrating than incorrect information and inconsistent hours of operation posted between company claim ticket and scratched out window hours. read more

Been to this place twice with a very short timeline and they were able to get my alterations done while exceeding my expectations. My previous experience with tailors has been very impersonal, but AA's advice was very influential the fit of my pants, and the fact that they turned around my alterations so quickly earns them my repeat business.
