We had the car towed over (2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid), and they diagnosed the problem and repaired the issue quickly and at a fair price. Unfortunately, the tech made a small mistake and once we got the car home, there was more oil on the driveway and a check engine light. Ugh, again. So we called back to Scott to see what he wanted us to do. We understand that sometimes mistakes are made and issues arise. How a business owner handles those issues are the difference between good businesses and great ones. This is a great one. Scott was MUCH more upset than we were! He got us back in same day and fixed the issue at no charge! (We should have paid for a necessary part, but he would not charge us.) With everything so expensive these days, and everyone trying to stretch a buck, it's hard to know if you're leaving your car with someone who cares about it as much as you do. Scott does. He was on time, professional, and clearly knew what he was doing. He explained everything in a way that made sense, didn't try to upsell anything unnecessary, and made sure the job was done right. My A/C is now blowing cold again like it should, and the car is running perfectly. You can tell he takes pride in his work and cares about doing a quality job. However, I am very disappointed with the level of expertise and outcome of the visit. My 2014 Jeep compass has had the check engine light on for a week, steering locked up last week, and has had delayed clicking start. Justin arrived, I gave him the full history of my vehicle (no problems for 10 years) and the issues occurring the last month or so which prompted the call. He started running tests, even drove the car around to see if he could replicate what I had been experiencing. About 30 minutes into the visit he said he couldn't replicate any of the issues; that's okay, as I mentioned it only happened about 50% of the time. But he sat in my car another 20-30 minutes or so, told me he had to call his boss because he was completely stumped. Not really what you want to hear, but even I started making suggestions of what it could be so he could at least do something for me. At the end of the visit he basically just said "sorry I have no idea what's wrong, maybe replace your battery?"... the only thing he found was a sensor on my engine needed replacement, but it's totally unrelated to the other issues. I ended up having to pay $150 for literally no better idea what's wrong with my car and not feeling any safer to drive it. It was a huge waste of my time and now I'm out $150, and I still had to take it to another shop that already figured out the problem not even 24 hours later. Save yourself some money and go to a real auto shop. I understand that some technicians may be learning or lack the knowledge to dive deeper, but someone should be going with them to assist so your customers aren't left feeling robbed and confused.

Called Herlehy's Monday morning, they asked us to bring it down. When we were there we told them what we knew and they told us what it was...exactly. They got started and called us a few hours later with a price quote and a okay to proceed with no promise of finishing by the end of the day. A few hours later we received a call that they had finished and we could pick up the car. We went to settle our debt, which was more than fair. They were great…read more Took our van in when OOROO took over and was told that it needed to have the upper oil pan seal replaced and the cost was over $3k to do this repair. I asked them to double check and they confirmed the same diagnosis. I took it to another local shop and also spoke to several master mechanics and found it was not the upper pan seal it was the timing belt cover that was leaking. Simple and cheap fix. Would not recommend this shop!!

The very next day, the same problem returned, the car was still shaking and pulling heavily to the right. That was extremely frustrating, especially after being assured everything had been thoroughly inspected. What concerns me most is that I took the car to another mechanic down the road, and he was able to visibly identify the problem right away. That left me feeling like my concerns were not taken seriously, or that the inspection I was told was performed may not have been done thoroughly. I don't like leaving negative reviews, especially for a local business in my own neighborhood. I make a point to support independent shops over big corporations whenever I can, which is why this was especially disappointing. I'm sure many customers have had positive experiences here, and I'm not questioning everyone's integrity. I was not clearly informed beforehand that more extensive disassembly or work beyond a basic diagnostic could result in additional charges.
