They did not charge me for the total car check. Sam listed out exactly what I needed in order of importance with a fair price. He also answered all of my questions about what they do and gave me a timeline on how soon I would need it. All he needed was a business day's notice so he could order what he needed. I dropped my car off around lunch time yesterday and my car was ready by around 10AM the next day. OMG - my car rides so freaking smooth now! Better than when I first bought it. My mind is blown! I will continue to do business here and recommend this place. FYI - the location is a bit hard to find at first. Look for the green canopy and the G&M sign. It's right before you reach Krispy Kreme.

I have been a loyal customer of Metro Champion under Sam for more than 20 years, and during all…read morethose years, I never had a reason to complain. Unfortunately, my recent experience under the new ownership and management has been completely different. I took my car in for what should have been a routine oil change, and that was the beginning of a series of problems. After the service, I started experiencing issues with my vehicle that I had never experienced before. It was extremely frustrating and disappointing to see a business I had trusted for more than two decades provide such a poor level of service. I contacted the new owner to explain the problems I was having. He told me he was busy helping other customers and said he would call me back. Unfortunately, he never did. That lack of follow-up and professionalism was especially disappointing after being a loyal customer for so many years. I am extremely frustrated with this experience and, sadly, I will not be returning to Metro Champion. It is unfortunate to see the level of service and professionalism decline so significantly after more than 20 years of trusting this shop with my vehicles.

I purchased a vehicle outright (no financing) almost a year ago and have had nothing but problems. Transmission went bad, radiator went bad, valve gaskets and covers went bad, and much more. Vehicle Service Contract? Worthless. They wanted to put in a used transmission that had a 120,000 miles on it. Would not cover anything. This is a "stack em deep and sell em cheap" place. If you want to get a cheap car and you have the money to do a lot of maintenance on it right from the jump, sure go for the cash car from here. Check Carfax to see how long it's been on the lot. If it's been more than a couple of months, run from this place. I found out that my car had been sitting on the lot for almost a year!

It was a little pricey, but honestly, that's just what comes with owning this type of car. So worth it. Sam was super friendly and cool, and Josh was great too, he kept me company while we waited for my car to be ready, which made the time go by fast. They were very transparent about pricing and labor, which I really appreciated. What impressed me most was how quick they were. At the dealership, I usually expect to be without my car for a week, but here it was literally from one day to the next. That alone is a huge plus. Not many mechanics work on Alfa Romeos, so I'm really glad I found this spot. I'll definitely be coming back.

They went way over the budget we had discussed, and they were very slow to respond to any correspondence. The car agreed to buy was to be in complete "like new" working order. The AC did not work in the heat of August. Sidco requested we return the car for repair which we did, but then after driving all the way to Forth Worth where they are located from down town Dallas, Sidco wanted to keep our already purchased vehicle for an extended amount of time without providing a loaner car. (again, they advertised the car to be in like new condition, but the vehicle we purchased from them was not. They should have provided an alternate vehicle while the one we had just purchased was getting repaired) What Sidco Auto says they provide, is not what they delivered. It has been awful! We did not get the exact model discussed, AC did not work, they went way over our budget which our lender would not cover. Now they will not pay for our out of pocket expenses on the repair of our AC. Out of warranty (they have a one year warranty) and less than 8,000 miles on the tranny, with normal driving (I don't even do burnouts, let alone racing) my transmission had to be completely rebuilt, again! The shop who did the new rebuild is one of the most reputable transmission shops in Orange County CA, very well known and specializing in Corvette transmissions (wish I went to them in the first place). They walked me through all the parts that had to be replaced and showed me what was done before based on TDP's invoice, they didn't bad mouth or disparage TDP in any way shape or form, they let me come to my own conclusion by presenting the parts and procedure they had to go through to make my transmission correct. TDP invoiced me $3,494.45 for the rebuild (+ $400.00 for shipping it back and forth to CA.), my new rebuild invoice is $4,591.06. Now, I know exactly what is inside my new transmission. I now have a transmission that has been rebuilt twice, in less than 2 years and cost me $8,085.51 + $400.00 in shipping. $8485.51 in total, This was a very expensive lesson to learn and my point is to ALWAY'S be sure you're getting what you pay for. Based on my experience I would never recommend Texas Drivetrain Performance! If I could give you a zero star, I would!
