Maxim and his crew helped us with an in town San Francisco move. Parking can be crazy in San Francisco, but working with Maxim, we were able to stage the move without issue. He arrived at 930, within the 1 hour window we were informed of. I had been told by A2B that the move would be 4-6 hours, give or take a couple hours, and that I should expect a 26 foot truck. Maxim's crew showed up in a narrow 18ish foot truck. I had not even thought about the move in location's policy against moves after 5pm, since the salesperson said 4-6 hours. But by 1pm the truck was only about 50% full. Maxim said that he would have to make two trips. I let him know about the 5pm cutoff, and but he said there was nothing he could do. It did take two trips and we risked the ire of our new neighbors. When I told him that we had been told to expect a 26 foot truck and 4-6 hours, he didn't believe me and then started saying that he had said 9 hours that morning (he hadn't, but why argue?) Taking two trips added at least 90 min and. All of our stuff was fully packed and the job was an elevator building 3rd floor to a ground floor apt. in the end, the job was at most an 8 hour one, but we got charged for 10 - nearly double the estimate I got in the phone when booking. At least my stuff is moved. read more
