Metro Delivery is my go-to when I buy furniture too large to fit in my (small) car…read more Many shops around Ann Arbor that don't do their own delivery have a stack of Metro Delivery flyers; it's not quite as convenient as hauling stuff yourself or having the store deliver, but far better than renting a van or roping a long-suffering pickup-driving friend into helping. I first called on Metro Delivery to bring over a Cost Plus World Market couch; they showed up in the scheduled window and carried it into the room still boxed, which made things easy. Next up are some storm windows, which would have fit in my last car, but are just barely too large for this one. Scheduled-for-the-future delivery is pretty cheap; prices go up as you get into same day, 4-hour, or rush orders. Bit of a niche business, but it's a niche I need --- I'll be back.

Customer service is very friendly and they do on-time, quality work. Story time - 1. I had a friend accidentally spill all over an old Pendleton blanket that's very special to me. It was passed to me from my dad (who passed away years ago) and the pattern is no longer produced. Stadium Cleaners did an amazing job getting it back to pristine, which was a huge relief! 2. I got my wedding dress cleaned here! It had a pretty large train so this was not a simple undertaking and this was of course a special item to me. I was happy with their work on this one. Believe this was $185 which I thought was really reasonable for the amount of fabric in this dress especially. 3. Otherwise, I usually will do my coats here (especially my puffy winter coats that seem to absorb stains throughout the season), delicate sweaters (though more often than not I keep trying to just put those through my washing machine - one day I'll learn my lesson...), and a specialty jacket I wear for hospital volunteering. As an added bonus, they're located next to Dimo's - I sometimes try to time my dry cleaner drop off/pick ups to snag a breakfast bagel next door :).
