Located by the 75 on-ramp and behind Fricker's, these apartments have great proximity to gas stations, restaurants, Meijer, and BGSU campus, all while tucked away from a lot of street activity. I came to BG for grad school with my girlfriend, and we stayed in a one-bedroom apartment (~800+ sq. ft.) for $700/month, which includes fireplace, bathtub with jets, walk-in closet, and washer/dryer (most spaces). Though the price may be a little high compared to other options around BG, you're not just paying for living space, you're paying for excellent accommodating management (that doesn't hound you for rent), immediate and attentive maintenance service, and a great great location that's connected to a local city park. The management of this complex also manages UHaul service and storage units for all your moving needs. Studio apartments are also available for around $400/month. I cannot recommend Shamrock Village enough. Probably the best choice in BG.

During the first service call, the repair people somehow cracked the inside of the fridge. I was told there is no way to fix the damage. The refrigerator needs a part from Samsung that has come in damaged now 4 different times. Durochers can order the part for next day delivery, so they could have tried far more than 4 times, btw. The last time, the part sat at Durochers for over 3 weeks before they even inspected it. ​ We have repeatedly asked for a manager to contact us, but been ignored every time. We have not had a working refrigerator in over 6 months now, but Durochers hasn't offered an apology or any sort of assistance.

They were very prompt and gave me updates on when they would arrive, complete with texted maps of where they were in terms of getting to my house. I give Durochers great credit for having delivery and service people like these two young men. Outstanding! I have always been pleased with the appliances, service and delivery at Durochers. In addition when I needed a broken refrigerator shelf replaced the service department was excellent. I actually received the shelf a day after I ordered it. I was also given information on how to get reimbursed by the glass company as the shelf was still under warranty. ( I want to add that I had a $500 gift certificate from Lowes that I could have used, but preferred to deal with Durochers instead. I appreciated that they took the job on quite short notice when my original mover cancelled. They did a great job on moving day, and it was challenging going up and down stairs. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the actual cost turned out to be quite a bit higher than the quote. Due the distance to my town, the quote was based on photos I sent of my rooms. However, it was not taken into account that I had not yet packed closets and cabinets, so there were more boxes than were quoted for. In conclusion, they were very friendly and did a good job with the move. I would recommend them, with the suggestion of getting an in-person quote and/or asking more questions about what's included in the expected price.
