I went there today at 5:51 PM because I had a nail in my front left tire. I had called earlier at 5:36 PM to let them know I was on my way for a repair. When I arrived, the technician didn't remove the tire. Instead, he pulled out the nail and inserted a rubber plug from the outside. My husband asked why he wasn't removing the tire to patch it from the inside, as has been done for us in the past. The technician said the plug would be sufficient. However, we have come here several times before, and the standard service has always been an internal patch, not just a plug. Was charge $20 to insert a plug without an interior patching. I was not given an option or any explanation beforehand. I had clearly stated that I wanted a proper patch, not a temporary plug repair. Because of this experience, I will not be returning. They have lost our business, including four customers from our household. read more

Went in for a alignment on my 2006 Silverado after calling them and asking if they could do it.They said yes arrived there and they took the truck straight in to the alignment rack for about 30-45 mins. Meanwhile I was waiting inside which was hotter then outside. once they were done they told me they couldn't adjust the camber because they don't do that ? Never heard a alignment shop say they don't adjust camber and told me to get it done somewhere else but they "did " set the toe and made my steering wheel straight after paying 80$ still for them not to adjust camber . I took off and less then a block away I noticed my steering wheel was not centered and turned left to go straight. I went back and they said it was because of the camber they can't adjust and I'm a technician my self that is not true so I asked them to make my steering wheel straight or get a refund they choose the easy route and gave me my refund. Never coming here again don't recommend for anything .bad service. read more

Being a person that has no idea about anything involving cars, I knew I was walking into a world of unknown for myself. All I knew was that I wanted rims. I had no idea that buying rims also meant buying new tires (told you I had no clue). So when I came in on a Sunday I told Junior that I wanted rims to replace the rims that I had on my car. At first he was hesitant, he told me that my size would be 15" and the selection was limited but my hard headed naive self was like no! I just bought those tires! So he placed the order and told me that they'd be delivered the next day. The next day came and I realized how small 15" would be. I was so worried that he wouldn't be able to change my order so late in the day that I drove to A-1 and talked to Junior face to face. He wasn't mad, he wasn't rude, in fact he was like... I hoped that you'd change your mind. Although the 15"s came in that day he said that he'd just keep them in their inventory and I could chose another set of rims (I was then willing to upgrade my tires). Of course I had to pay the difference in which I didn't mind. So the next day would be set to have my rims changed. The whole process took no more than two hours. I had no problem waiting since I had a book to read in the waiting room. I did notice how busy they were, the phone constantly ringing and customers coming in (a good sign). The interactions with the customers both on the phone and in person was chill. When my car was done I was at awe. I loved my new rims! They're so nicceee! I think I made the rite choice in coming to A-1 that I'd highly recommend them to anyone if they're thinking about getting new rims. Thanks Junior! read more

I had a screw get into my tire. Two of the larger tire shops in town both said that the screw was too close to the sidewall and the tire needed to be replaced. Both shops also said that all 4 tires should be replaced. I wasn't ready to replace all 4 yet since they still have about 5-6k miles left on them. I went to A1 to just have a used tire put on until I was ready to replace all 4. They took the tire off and inspected it and then they called me over to the tire and asked why I was replacing it and I told them what I was told. They laughed and told me it wasn't close to the sidewall was over an inch in from the sidewall, and it was totally fixable. They fixed my tire and had me back on the road within 20 minutes! I went from looking at spending $900 plus on 4 tires I didn't even want to spending $15 on a repair! I will definitely be returning to them when I am ready to put 4 tires on my truck. Don't let the location or the age of the shop fool you or keep you from going to them. They are great guys and will treat you right! It's an old school, no frills, quality tire shop. read more

All I have to say is my experience here was AMAZING! No lie, from the moment I walked in Junior was very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. I told him what car I have and what size rims I was looking for and he knew just what I was looking for. He actually had a 24inch rim with the tire on it to show me on my car how it looks. And it was the first rim he showed me and I LOVED IT!!!! He gave me a really good deal with the rims and tires and I couldn't say no on that offer he have me. let me start by saying this when I needed an alignment for my Alfa. the A1 Tire team came through. when I had a so called reputable tire place with the initial LS, said they needed a special tool to do it. Code for, I don't want to do it (to lazy to remove underpanels to do the alignment. A1 got me new tires and aligned the car without any issues, got it within specification and didn't need a special tool either. they're a small shop, but big customer service in my opinion. Stopped by to get tires mounted on brand new Volk TE37s for my 2016 STI. I understand there is no guarantees as far as damage but I went ahead and agreed to pay the premium and I was disappointed in how they reacted when I found damage. The tech automatically became defensive, stating that he has years of experience and that if he continues all my wheels would probably get dinged up. In my opinion that sounds like a problem in technique and equipment. After talking to the tech he called his boss and he offers to cover it up with sharpie, from that point I start loading my truck back up and he walks inside. Not that I was looking for compensation but there was none offered and not even an acknowledgement that they made a mistake. This place probably wouldn't be bad for a one time stop but definitely not if you value quality and professionalism. read more

Let me preface this with one note: I rarely give 5-star reviews. That being said, Saaed was fantastic and absolutely deserves a 5-star review. Our Sienna was due for some tires and after shopping around, A1 was the cheapest and could get me in same-day. When I arrived, Saeed was able to get me a better tire at a lower price. A VERY quick 45 minutes later, and the tires were on! When I left the shop, my new Vercelli Strada III tires were noticeably better performing than the Michelin tires we previously had- And were half the cost. We took a trip to Squaw Valley and ended up getting stuck in a snowstorm. We were not anticipating the crazy weather. The new tires stuck like glue to the road, even with black ice and massive amounts of snow, the tires didn't slip once. We reluctantly drove in white-out conditions and never once did I worry about the tires. They were literal life-savers. A1 Tires and Wheels performed a wheel and tire alignment for my 2001 BMW 740i Sport that is static (lowered) on Coilovers. Their in ground lift allowed for ease of loading and unloading my vehicle safely and securely with the dramatically tuned and adjusted ride height known to many as "stance". I had them only adjust my toe as I had my camber dialed in for my desired set up. All in all we were able to collectively work harmoniously for the five minutes we dialed in the information on the technologically advanced and widely used alignment machine known as HawkEye. From then on the technician began the adjustment process as I sat outside of the garage in a provided chair so that I may observe. My experience was a good one. Smooth business if you will. But I'm also a smooth citizen, I conduct myself in a very diplomatic fashion. That being said I trust this business very much so with the work performed on my car. The technician took his time to get each wheels toe angle corrected to factory specs. I would definitely return for my future alignment needs. read more
