I had a great experience with A1 Copper Repipes and would highly recommend them. The crew was very professional, efficient, and respectful. They completed the copper repipe in just one day, replacing almost all of the copper pipes in the house, including the water heater connections and the pipes inside the walls. I really appreciated that they left the walls open overnight, which gave me the opportunity to see and inspect the work myself. The next day, they returned and did an excellent job repairing the drywall. Everything was done very cleanly and professionally. Ricardo was also great to work with. His price was the best out of all the companies I received quotes from, and he even offered a no-interest payment plan, which was a huge plus. Very happy with the quality, speed, professionalism, and price. I would definitely recommend Ricardo and A1 Copper Repipes! read more

We had slab leaks, and needed everything replaced. A1 Copper Repipes completed a full repipe, in copper, in one day, just as promised. The work was done by very skilled technicians who are on A1's payroll. The drywall patchers also did an excellent job. Very reasonable price, too. My estimate was done by Ricardo, the owner. Very different, and pleasant, experience compared to other companies. If you have slab leaks, or other complex water problems, don't hesitate to call this company. read more

I highly recommend A1Copper Repipe for commercial and multi-family plumbing projects. As an apartment complex owner, I find it challenging to find reliable contractors who respect our tenants and protect our bottom line. They gave a competitive estimate and installed copper piping for less than the other PVC estimates, and I did obtain multiple estimates. Other companies were hard-selling PVC, but we were adamant about installing copper, especially if there are rodents. They were on time, finished the job on schedule, and stuck to the cost estimate with no upselling. The inspection passed seamlessly with no issues or delays. I found them because of their reviews, so I want to return the favor and save others the time and effort to look for a plumbing company that does a full copper repipe. I am a difficult client, so I want to thank Ricardo for answering all my questions and handling the job so well. It was a pleasure doing business with them. It's stressful enough being a property owner, but having reliable contractors is such a relief. They will be our first call for any plumbing issues. read more

If I could give them 10 stars, I would. A1 did an amazing job. Ricardo was always available to answer any questions I had. He's very thorough in explaining everything. I will be definitely calling them back again for my next project. read more

5 stars from us, with no doubt! Repiping crept on us from under the corner, along with other great discoveries about our newly purchased house, don't ask, a long story. Plus, I'm allergic to mold, and thus, paranoid about leaks. We had a limited time to complete the repiping before our vacation. That's when A1 copper repipes were recommended to us by our contractor. I usually got stressed discussing pipes and house construction, the thing I know nothing about, but Richardo explained everything and answered tons of my questions until I started to feel I have a grasp on what would happen. The estimates came several hours later, and the price was fair, much less than the one we received before from our previous (another horror story) contractor. And just three days later, this amazing team of professionals replaced our water heater (so full of calcium that it was practically jumping every time we used warm water), installed a water softener, MOEN, and repiped the entire house in one day. Smiling and jocking on the way. You know when the team works by the way people behave. They were the group of friends that enjoyed working with each other. Next day, a smaller team came to patch our walls, recreating the texture. Tiny imperfections (a tiny drip under the sink, a cover for wires for the water heater unfastened) were fixed fast. 10 years of warranty for workmanship and 25 for pipes let me sleep soundly at night. From the beginning to the end, we only had positive experience with this team, and we're extremely grateful. read more

Great service and great value! Had a galvanized pipe burst in a slab and contacted A1 Copper for assistance. Received a quick response and detailed scope of work of what would be performed. Team arrived on Friday to repipe the whole house and patching was completed on Saturday. Team did a great job and ensured they cleaned up after themselves. read more

Highly recommended! After sifting through reviews for a plumber to replace the ancient galvanized pipes in our single-family Venice home, we called A1 Copper Re-pipes, Inc. Our consultation with knowledgeable owner Ricardo Amezcua convinced us that a copper water re-pipe, gas re-pipe, drain replacement and tankless water heater upgrade would be the best way to restore our systems to proper function. Ricardo gave us some product literature and a list of references and emailed a detailed estimate the next day. Cost was reasonable and terms were fair. A1 excelled in all respects compared to other candidates. We signed the contract and agreed on a start date, expecting the project to take about a week. The owner organized the crew of up to six men every morning and monitored a 'phone during the day. The dedicated crew arrived on time, stayed on task and left a clean jobsite. Minor issues (e.g. where to install the hose bibs; which appliances to pipe or haul away) were easily resolved by 'phone. Non-plumbing side jobs (e.g. rebuilding the wall gap left by our tank-style water heater) were conveniently arranged for us through the owner's contacts. The re-pipes and drains were done in two days, with electrical work and tile/drywall/concrete repairs on day three, wall rebuild on day four and gas on day five in tandem with our gas service restart. Systems were tested for integrity before the project was finalized. Results exceeded our expectations. In terms of cost, skill and integrity, this company meets the highest standards. We strongly recommend A1 Copper Re-pipes for all plumbing needs. read more

I highly recommend A1 Copper Repipe. I asked them do a repipe of my house and garage. A pipe was leaking underground and they had to dig and replace underground pipes as well as the pipes in the house. Ricardo came and gave me an estimate that was fair and explained what the process was. He gave me a detailed list of areas of my house that needed to be cleared for access to the pipes. His crew was amazing! They got the whole repipe done in one day - including digging and replacing the underground pipes! After the city inspection it took only one more day for the patching/plastering crew to patch the areas that had to be cut. I was very nervous about having to have a repipe, but Ricardo and his crew are so professional and knowledgeable that they put me at ease. Thank you A1 Copper Repipe! read more

I had a tricky removal and replacement job for a leaky kitchen faucet. The tricky part was that the faucet was secured deep inside the center of a double basin farm sink with a very tight access. I have already had one plumber out to do the job and they gave up when neither the plumber nor his assistant could sufficiently reach the base of the faucet to do the job. They recommended I find a very small plumber to do the job and left. When I got a referral to Ricardo with A1 Copper Repipes & Plumbing, I told him all about the tight access and sent him pictures and measurements so he knew what he was in for. He listened, examined the pictures, and said it would take a bit of time but it was certainly workable. He quoted me a reasonable price and set up for his plumber, Daniel, to be at my house the next day. Daniel was excellent - very personable, explained everything he was doing and pulled out the right tools to do the job. Daniel also cleaned out and recaulked some leaky spots at the base of the sink, putting clear caulk between the stone and white caulk around the basin, exactly as it should be. That speaks to the level of detail and care Daniel put into his work. When everything was said and done, I think it took a bit longer than even they expected, but they held fast to the original quote they gave me. I can't expect any more from a plumber - knowledgeable, hard-working, courteous, and completely honest. I will be calling Ricardo and Copper Repipes & Plumbing for any of my plumbing work in the future and recommend them highly to my friends and associates. read more

We have used A1 twice in the past for planned repairs. They have always been courteous, reasonably priced, & done good work. Early this morning I had to call them for an emergency repair. Water was spraying everywhere from a hose in the top of my water heater. It was chaos & we couldn't get the water shut off. The knowledgeable woman on the phone not only dispatched a plumber to arrive in 30mins, she also gave helpful tips on what we could do until he got here. I liked A1 before today, but they exceeded my expectations this morning. I'm a customer for life now! read more

Trustworthy, reliable and professional. Great team! Our old house needed a clean out installed. They had to get down into the crawl space to cut the main drain line pipe to route a line for the clean out to be accessible from outside the house. Ricardo and his crew were great to work with. He first provided free in-home quotation for repiping the entire house. His quote was fair and very competitive compared to other quotes I received from local companies. He worked with our city to obtain appropriate permits. He completed the project swiftly on a projected timeline. After the repiping, we noted leak underneath the kitchen sink. He sent his plumber to address this promptly and even had a water filter person change tubing in our reverse osmosis system which was leaking. He was present during final inspection. Repiping, stucco repair, drywall repair everything went smoothly. Highly recommend this business and will be referring friends and family. read more

Ricardo did a great copper repipe job at my house, and I highly recommend him. He patiently listened to my requirements, correctly diagnosed problems at the house, and explained how he would address them. He even made some great extra suggestions (instant on hot water), and explained all the ins and outs of an outdoor shower which I had him install too. He's clearly very knowledgeable in his field, and has an excellent customer rapport. Communication was flawless. The job was executed on time, even on my limited schedule, with a veritable army of hard working technicians, and with perfect follow up. He went above and beyond. Thanks Ricardo! read more

Ricardo came out within a few hours of my call for an emergency leak repair. He is knowledgeable and fair. Those reviews on here that didn't actually get service from this company made me hesitant to call them for service but I'm glad I did. A1 Copper Repipe was recommended for our copper repipe by a good friend in another aspect of the plumbing business. We are completely satisfied. Our trouble was low pressure and long wait times for hot water, plus hot showers going c-c-c-cold when any other faucet was used in the house. Now we have a completely replaced system with a tankless unit that is supplying all the hot water we need all the time, very quickly. Hurray! Ricardo and his crews were here on time, as promised, every phase of the project. I especially appreciated his candor about what to expect going forward. We will make sure we service the tankless heater as instructed. We are pleased to get new shower fixtures as part of the project including reconfiguring the pipes in one bathroom and having the kitchen sink faucet moved. Very prompt, excellent work, definitely know who to call for our future plumbing needs. I highly recommend "Repipe Ricardo". Thank you for a job well done! read more

I spoke with Ricardo in a desperate time of need. NO HOT WATER!!! I live in a condo and "thought" everything on the outside of my place was covered by the association. But you know how associations go; they are always full of crap. Anyway we found out our gas pipe was cracked and leaking gas near the meter. They shut it off and left it to us to deal with. I called so many different places till I was referred to A1. Shoat out to Jordan for the hook up. These guys were on it. I was so worried I'd be days without hot water, an oven, heat etc. A-1 had a guy out here in less then 24 hours to do the repair at a good price. Great scheduling experience it was super easy. Thanks to all the guys at A1 especially you Ricardo for saving the day!! read more

Prompt and professional. Showed up on time, friendly and completed the work to a high standard.

I was referred to A1 by another plumbing company that was not able to help with a sink and faucet installation. I spoke with Ricardo at approximately 10:00am and he was very pleasant. What I appreciated most was how Ricardo allowed me to explain my plumbing situation and needs without interrupting like so many in the plumbing business tend to do. He listened, then asked questions, which resulted in an natural conversation where both parties benefited from the information exchanged. Equally important, Ricardo continued to explain that he would be able to provide same-day service and confirmed that Michael "Mike" would be my technician. He gave me some background information about Mike in terms of his experience, which I also appreciated. My appointment window was 3-5pm and I let Ricardo know that I would appreciate any and all efforts to have my technician arrive sooner. At ~1:30pm, I receive a call from Mike, who lets me know that he will be on site in 30 - 45 minutes. Shortly after 2pm, Mike arrived at my home one hour early, which was great! Mike had shoe booties to preserve my wooden staircase and wore a facial mask upon request. After assessing my kitchen sink, piping, and garbage disposal, and began to get to work. One thing that I didn't anticipate was that the All-In-One Kohler Sink Kit that I purchased was slightly larger than my existing cut-out. However, this was not a problem at all for Mike to cut through my counter top to install my drop-in sink. By ~4:40pm Mike was essentially done with the installation. I had to run to the bank as Mike was shutting things down and he was kind and patient for my return. He did not call me to express any concerns when I was delayed (when he probably had cause to). Overall, I could not be more pleased with the job that Mike and Ricardo did to get me out of a difficult spot. I would happily refer any of my family and friends to A1 Copper Repipes! read more

We had pin hole leaks in our home's 25 year old type M copper pipe. Talked to 4 repiping companies and selected John Sayeski due to his experience, his ideas around our home's plumbing issues, projected schedule, inclusion of dry wall patching, and an excellent referral from a friend who had used A1. John came on time for each appointment. He promised a 3 day job: one day to repipe, one day for inspection, and a third day for dry wall patching. Everything went according to schedule. The dry wall patch job was beautifully done. We could not have been more pleased with A1 Copper Repipe service. Thanks, John! read more

I needed a full gas line re-pipe and took my time to call in 4 estimates to assess and price the job. The first estimate, from a licensed plumber I've had good experiences with, was $6,350. The second estimate came from another licensed contract plumber referred to me by the regional gas department supervisor (who had come out to assess our leak issue) and their estimate came in at $10,500. Another re-pipe specialist I found on Yelp came in at $7850. A 1 Copper repipe came in at $17,900!!!!! When I saw their estimate I practically spit my coffee on my computer Jon-Ritter-Three's-Company-Style. Add in a $19,500 estimate for a plumbing re-pipe they provided I've since had estimated by two plumbers at 12K and another at 9K and you can get an idea of these guys' pricing. I mean they had the NERVE to give me an contract for $37,400!!!!! as if I was going to sign that and give them that kind of money for these jobs.....seriously? Needless to say I had the first company do the job for the 6K. They had it done in 1.5 days, were super clean and respectful and it passed city inspection in flying colors at 1/3 the price of A 1 Copper Repipe. When you have a job and you take your time off work to meet someone for an estimate you want to know you are getting a fairly priced estimate for your time. This was not my experience with A 1. read more

hello everyone! I relied on some reviews for this project and decided I needed to tell my story so I can help someone out there. my house suffered a slab leak in one of my bathrooms and the water overflowed and reached some of my hardwood floors. my insurance sent some guys to repair the slab leak and was told that I could end up with another leak in a few years since the house was built in 1979 and all the plumbing was done underground. I panicked !! I do not want to go through this ever again, so I decided to look for a different solution, an acquaintance referred me to a person by the name of Ron from Optimal plumbing! ( what disaster it was! he told me he was going to just reroute the pipes and end the problem. he abandoned the job and made me lose invaluable time. then I learned that the best option was to repipe not reroute the house. I started to look for a licensed, reputable, insured company to do a repiping of my house. what a surprise !! this is a very interesting business, I interviewed about 5 companies, they wildly differ in price from 12,400 to 9K some did not even include the repairs. ( they will make holes in your drywall and stucco ) fortunately for me, I decided to hire A1 copper-repipe. Ricardo and his crew of professionals are beyond amazing!! Ricardo came to my house, inspected the house, and decided on the best way to run the pipes through the attic with minimal stucco or drywall holes. Mike Miller ( a fine young man and one of the best plumber I have ever seen ) came to my house and reconnected the water. now we had running water. the crew of over 6 people came as agreed and started the repiping which was done in ONE DAY! what a relief! Ricardo was at all times available for any questions or concerns we had. they used the best Uponor AquaPex materials, they installed a pressure regulator, a shut-off valve, they even repaired a drainage trap for the same price. the next day another person showed up and fixed and repair any drywall or stucco they had removed. I would highly recommend Ricardo and his crew. they did a great job in my house now I know I won't have this problem again I hope this experience will help you and all the yelp community. PS. I read all the reviews before making my decision and was interested in knowing about the kind of bad review 1A Copper -Repiping had and asked Ricardo himself about it and to my surprise he told me had ended up doing that job and the owner was very satisfied for the work he performed and he thinks that the owner writing the bad review probably meant to mention a different company and inadvertently mention Ricardo's company. sincerely, roman read more
