We're very happy that we found A1 Computer. Their service is fast and reliable, and they have been our exclusive computer service company for a couple of years, since Level 10, another fine computer service we used for years, became unavailable. We've had computer emergencies requiring immediate help, and Mason has rescheduled his day to come to our home and diagnose and repair the problem in time to meet deadlines. Not long ago we purchased a refurbished computer from A1 and saved money. The computer works great. We signed up for A1's monitoring service which monitors our computers 24/7 and provides system updates, unlimited remote support and a lot of other benefits. This service is especially helpful with computer issues beyond our technical abilities. A1 Computer has eliminated concerns that something will go wrong with our computers and we'll have to deal with a stranger in our home or take the computer to a store where there is concern about access to personal information, not to mention ability to fix the problem correctly. Originally I called to set up my wife's new computer which they did and it was done quickly and efficiently including virus protection and at a reasonable price. My son got a PlayStation 4 for Christmas and we could not get it to work. Mason came out relocated the router and the PlayStation worked much to my 11 year old's pleasure. I also had him look at my Chromecast that I could not get to work and he helped me do that also. When the router was moved downstairs I lost internet to my computer because it had been hardwired before and the wireless did not work. Mason said I needed my computer cleaned and serviced and it would be fine. I was quite dubious to say the least. This is another story of a bad disk drive with a happy ending. When my hard drive failed, I took my computer to A1 Computer Repair in Diamond Springs, a small town near my home. Mason discussed the problem with me and explained what was needed. Within a day I had an estimate that surprised me by being so reasonable. A few days later I picked up my computer. Mason and Myles had been able to salvage my files from the bad hard drive and install them on a new drive. (I had saved most of the important files on the cloud, but was not sure I had gotten them all.) Myles explained why one of the computer maintenance programs I had had on my old drive was obsolete on Windows 10. I will not hesitate to bring all my computer repair needs to Mason and Myles. I have utilized A1 Computer repair services for seven years shortly after relocating from the Bay area. They have continued to excel in repair, maintenance and at times necessary replacement of certain items such as a printer, keyboard and mouse. When calling with questions regarding problems, they are extremely responsive and normally have resolved any problem within a couple of days or sooner. They perform a diagnostic check on my computer once a year and always have advise on any potential problem that they find. I just got my PC back today I dropped it off 10 days ago but the work required to fix it was extensive. Mason replaced my motherboard and my CPU and removed one of my hard drives that was failing. He kept me updated every step of the way and even brought me a new surge protector as mine was too old to do its job. he was always polite and very friendly. its very nice to know that such a good repair shop is so close to me. He remedied my charging problem, cleaned, and optimized my laptop. Upon picking up my laptop, he gave me a detailed report of all the work he did including hardware testing, malware found, and software installation. When my husband asks what was done, it's all written down. I brought my sad dying computer in to Mason, before I threw it in the trash. He was able to revive it, clean it of malware, repair internal parts (instead of buying new) , install new antivirus (at a discount!!!) and all in a very short amount of time. Really appreciated the free diagnosis and fast, friendly service. Brought it in late one afternoon and got a call right away, with several alternatives. My laptop was ready for pickup the next morning! Not only fixed the start-up issues, but told me how to avoid it in the future, installed a good security program, cleaned up the whole system, and gave me a "cheat sheet" for Windows 8 shortcuts. Mason and his Dad did an A1 job on my computer, I took it in with a virus as well as other problems. They went totally through it got rid of the viruses 7 total as well as did a total tune up so to speak and they even added more memory for no additional charge. I am not the type of person who trusts too many people with my things. In fact I tend to fix them myself. However, I got stuck and was unable to fix the issues with my computer so I took it to Mason.
