On February 21, 2025 at 11:03 a.m., I contacted A1 Affordable Locksmith and was informed by the dispatcher that a technician would contact me shortly. At 11:19 a.m., the technician, Israel (443-218-2637), called me. He provided a price quote and an estimated arrival window. He arrived within that stated time.
When he arrived, I was unable to locate the key. He advised that he could still complete the job. He removed the lock from my door and stated that he would return within 30 minutes.
By 3:00 p.m., he had not returned. At 3:41 p.m., I contacted Israel. He stated that he was in traffic and had to go to two other locations but would return in 30 minutes. After that call, he did not return and did not answer additional calls.
I then contacted A1 Affordable Locksmith and was told that a manager would return my call. I called again at 6:39 p.m. and was given the same response.
At 7:12 p.m., I contacted Israel and informed him that I no longer wanted his services and requested that he return my lock. He stated that he had taken another job and was 13 miles away.
After additional unsuccessful attempts to resolve the matter, I informed Israel that I would contact the police. He responded that this would not be necessary. I then contacted Anne Arundel Police, who documented the incident and contacted Israel directly.
Israel returned to my residence at 9:09 p.m. He stated that traffic and other jobs caused the delay and offered a partial apology.
As a result of this situation, my home was left unsecured for several hours. I was without my lock for most of the day, and I had to involve law enforcement to resolve the matter. This experience was unprofessional and unacceptable.!!!!
I am requesting that this matter be reviewed and addressed appropriately. No customer should be left without a secured door for this length of time. read more
