I contacted Adam at A-Team when a large cedar snapped during a snow storm and crashed down onto my roof. The tree caused significant damage including a six inch diameter hole though the roof. Adam sent Jake out right away. Jake climbed through 2 feet of snow, removed the cedar from my roof and covered the damage with a plastic tarp to prevent water intrusion. After the snow melted, Adam and his teem returned and took down 4 broken/snapped trees and several that were leaning towards my home. The trees included a 100' pine and a 90' cedar. Above and beyond! Asked a local Facebook group for recommendations and they did not disappoint. Adam the owner was out for a bid within a day of contacting him, set a price and date for tree work and they showed up right on time and in force. The team was super efficient and knowledgeable. Mindful of power lines, propane lines, and water lines. Dropped a number of tees in a few hours. Cleaned up all the limbs and even did a few pyracantha branches we had downed and put in a pile that was not their responsibility! The guys where great at communicating with me and asking exactly which trees I wanted down and they went above and beyond once I gave them the okay! This is a RAVE review for them. Well as everyone in pollock pines and the Sierra foothills knows, Christmas 2021 brought snow and lots of it and then the trees all fell down. One our neighbors large pines uprooted probably from the very sticky snow onto some pines and cedars on our side and then proceeded to lean onto our second story deck and roof line. Luckily it was a gradual "lean" but it was over our propane tank. Complicated but Adam's crew took great care of it all. After speaking with Adam the morning of the incident, John came out to get a closer look. The next day Todd and his team came out bright and early and got working. With great thoughtfulness and effort they got the tough part done with out issue. Other than some cracks in one of the deck rail posts, luckily there was no major damage and any issue with the propane tank was avoided. The owner Adam and his dedicated crew do the MOST AWESOME SAFE WORK at a reasonable price. Extremely trustworthy. They clean up after themselves. I had extensive tree removal done (after the Caldor Fire) and my neighbors are STILL remarking how gorgeous my property looks. I do NOT miss the constant pine needle raking and roof covering. I was so impressed I offered that if they had a sign to post it in my yard. I had 5 acres before moving here of dense oak, and know tree companies. I had a tree fall on my house this morning and needed a professional company to come out and get it off the house and on the ground safely without causing more damage. I called A Team (because I used them 2 years ago when a tree fell on the barn) right away. They answered my call (didn't have to leave a message or wait for a call back) and were out at my house with a 3-man crew in about an hour. They were able to get the tree on the ground, clean up the debris with a burn pile and cut the tree into manageable rounds. Oh, and they did all of this in the middle of a hail/snow/rain storm!!! Talk about quality customer service! The A Team Tree Service is dependable, skilled and gets the job done quick for a great price. I wouldn't recommend a team. More like f team. They broke the fence latch. They left the side gate open which I asked them not to use. They left dead branches on the tree and could've cut more. A huge mess in the front yard. They didn't even tell me they left. I thought they left for lunch. Turned out they were done without a chance to inspect (I was home) and a check. They sent back one of their employees in his personal car to get payment. Very disgusted at the work for $1000. They turned out to do the right thing and came back and did a much better job. I am still a bit disappointed in that they don't ask you to review their work before taking off. Also if you're a woman don't have them do the work. Huge difference between what work I got them to do vs the man of the house. read more

We had a 100 year old, 100 ft digger pine that was damaged by the storm we had in Placerville on New Years's Eve. The tree had to come down. I called Adam of A-Team Tree Service and they did the job. Branches were tangled in nearby trees, hanging over neighbors' property. The core of the tree was rotted half way up. I watched, holding my breath, gritting my teeth as the tree was expertly felled. Each member of his team had a job to do...guide the cut branches down without causing damage, retrieve and chip branches and clean the area. We just bought a cabin in Kyburz, it had a large tree contacting the powerline. As it was the service line, PG&E refused to do anything about it and said it was our responsibility. I contacted several tree removal services through yelp. Only managed to get a quote from one other. Our neighbor, Debbie, recommended Adam and Amy with A Team. Adam has the proper equipment to do a quality job and an experienced crew. He took down a mature cedar tree that was sandwiched between our home and car port, the limbs were chipped directly into his truck, the site was clean when he left. As a bonus, he took out two dead stumps under a bedroom window - his loader was working on another property in our neighborhood so it just happened to be available ... there was no additional cost. They showed up when it was very cold with snow on the ground, this was after the big March snowstorm. They had just come from another job and instead of calling it a day, they came to our house and removed the tree that had fallen on our roof. Adam and John gave a fair and accurate estimate. They were able to plan out 4 days of work perfectly, and were willing to do a few extra tasks (beyond the estimate) as well! They cut down a few trees that were close together, pruned branches leaning over the roof (using ropes to prevent damage to the roof), and removed a lot of mistletoe. Adam is quite a skilled climber and got some very pesky mistletoe at the very top of the trees. One of the pruned "branches" (it was half of a tree) cracked a few tiles on the roof, but Adam was quick and honest to both point it out and repair it at no charge. I live in Pollock Pines. While I love the forest and living in the mountains, winter time is particularly dangerous when all the trees close to the house hang over it in a threatening manner. The last two winters all the Cedar trees by the house would hang over the roof like candy canes, one even broke off on the house. The thought of being skewered and dying a painful, snowy, splintery death is not appealing so we called a few tree removal companies for quotes. A Team tree service does a lot of work in my HOA. Adam estimated it would take two days to drop the six closest trees to my home, all cedars, chip the branches and cut the wood into 16 inch rounds. After day one, my yard was tore up, but they warned me it would look like a bomb went off and not to worry. Day 2 yielded amazing results; All the trees were dropped, branches chipped, no damage to the house, and they even cleaned up a bit more then they needed to. No complaints!
