Let me first start off with Kay in the office she was great and other that the great price was the reason I chose Tailored Trees, she answered all my questions (yes there were a lot throughout our work) and always kept good communication with me from start to finish. She sent out Anthony who provided a competitive estimate we couldn't refuse. I called Kay again in the office to accept their offer and schedule our project hoping to get done asap since we can't move into our new home until the 70 ft of Oleander trees removed. Wow, Kay got us in with their busy schedule in within 3 business days. The crew came out on time and completed the job within 2 days due to an equipment issue. Once the trees were all removed they brought in a stump grinder to grind down the roots. There was a window broken from the grinding debris. But we know things happen sometimes out of someone's control. I contacted Kay and she had a glass guy come out quickly to replace the glass. We are happy with the service and care given by Tailored Trees. We will be using them again when we have our front yard tree removed. We needed several trees and some tall oleanders trimmed to ensure their health and their being able to face the winter winds and remain standing. After receiving a number of estimates, we decided to have Tailored Trees do this job for us. We are so glad we did! The four men, Drake, Chris, Josh, and John, worked hard and were all very nice. They asked questions when appropriate to ensure that we would be pleased with the end results of the trimming. We truly appreciated this approach. They were careful not to damage the roof over which one huge elm tree hangs and not to damage items that we couldn't move. At the end of the trimming, they did a nice job of cleaning up the branches and leaves off the roof, the decks, and the property. We received the invoice marked "paid" on the same day. If all businesses were run this efficiently and with such an acute eye to customer service, homeowners could get work done without worrying about the end results. I used Tailored Tree Service two years ago to trim two backyard trees. They did a great job then, so I decided to use them on a job with four trees. I got a quick call from the business and made an appointment for an estimate the following day. Anthony responded the following day, on time, and we walked the area together. The team of three arrive on-time, trimmed all the broken branches, remove mistletoe and dead branches, chipped and hauled away all the debris, and left the area much cleaner than when they arrived. Tailored Trees just left my home. I am very impressed with the personnel and the work done. Today they removed the last 7 eucalyptus trees from my yard. Also ground all remaining stumps that could be addressed with their grinder. All debris was removed from my yard and the street and yard were left cleaner than when they arrived. Tailored Tree came out a few weeks ago and did an assessment of the health of our trees and trimmed some back from buildings/hanging over our pool. I wasn't home when they left and when I came back, there was one branch that was still hanging over my pool that we hadn't really noticed. I would not normally make a judgment on an entire business based off of one employee. HOWEVER, this wasn't just any peon. This was a contractor. Whom LIED to us about a very important matter (like 3 acres of total distraction) causing a long chain of upset people and community members whom were also left to clean up said contractors LIE. But let me clarify. He was "joking", he says after the community board is inundated by 50+ community members ready to rip THEM apart because this man told us all a "JOKE" . Like, what grade are you in? A joke is when two people laugh. He told a LIE plain and simple. When the repercussions got ugly, he tried to back pedal. I reached out to 3 tree companies for estimates to have a fruitless cherry plum thinned, reduce the canopy of an ash tree, as well as perform regular maintenance pruning on approximately 4 other trees in my yard. I picked Tailored Tree Service for the following reasons: Service - they were very responsive to my call and scheduling the estimate. They did have to reschedule last minute to do an equipment issue however accommodated my schedule for the next open slot. They arrived on time and were all very friendly, personable guys. They communicated with me throughout the job, and gave me several choices on some of the work, which I thought was great. They even took a few extra cuts at my request towards the end. Knowledge - Mike was had all the answers to my questions, and more. I can be one of "those clients" that needs a lot of information to feel comfortable with the person doing the work. I have had bad tree experiences in the past. This company cares about the trees. They won't do a hack job because that was the client asks for. Price - They came in at the most reasonable price for the work that needed to be done. They felt they could get the work done in less time that others had estimated, likely because they were intending on bringing more staff. They were here and gone in just under 3 hours which was pretty much exactly what they estimated. Quality of work - Mike and his team were precise with work. The biggest issues were with the over dense cherry plum, and the heavy ash. After they were done the cherry plum was had a nice airy canopy with beautifully filtered light coming through. Before that corner of the yard was a black hole. The red ash was no longer hanging over the house and lopsided. In addition, they did a nice job cleaning up when they were done. You would have never known they were there :) In summary, I definitely recommend Mike and Tailored Tree Service. They know their stuff, have great service, a good team, and do quality work.
