We got estimates from 3 to 4 different tree contractors, and Tailored Tree was by far the best in terms of both price and quality of work. Our estimator, Drake, provided detailed quotes complete with helpful pictures and descriptions. Bryan handled the trimming and removal flawlessly; he is incredibly knowledgeable and knows exactly how to properly manage large trees. The crew used efficient machinery to break up the branches and left the yard wonderfully clean afterward. Most importantly, their pricing is incredibly fair and far more affordable than the other quotes we received--highly professional, kind, and easily the best choice around! read more

Tailored Tree, Inc., located in El Dorado Hills, California, claims their employees are Certified Arborists. However, it appears that only the owner, Micah Smith, holds this certification. In May of 2026, I requested the ISA Certification Number for Sergio, the crew chief, but, to date, and given every opportunity to respond before I posted this review, Mr. Smith as not replied. A representative from the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), said customers have the right to request certification numbers if a tree service company advertises that its employees are Certified Arborists. read more

We live in Crown Village EDH and 12/25 one of our very large Oak trees in backyard. The tree split right in the middle and fell into our 60 ft waterfall. So, we called Micah Smith, Tailored Tree and they sent out a person to give estimate, within 24 hours they removed the tree and cleaned from waterfall. Highly recommend them for all your tree needs. read more

Great price and fantastic service! Tree removal was for large fallen oak tree limb. The large limb fell right over expensive wrought iron fence but perched just a few inches above fence. Removing limb without damaging the fence seemed impossible. This crew did the impossible and removed the large limb and remaining tree trunk without even touching the fence. Great work! read more

The trees in our yard needed a lot of love, including removal of a tall pine tree that was leaning dangerously against the house. Within a week, all was taken care of, very professionally and in a detailed manner, including getting the fire department to sign off on the review. More importantly - Micah and Jessica were SUPER responsive to any questions and issues we had, to verify that everything our insurer wanted taken care of was done properly. This was peace of mind that is priceless. A+ would use Micah and Co again. read more

I have a lovely backyard with lots of trees. Over the last 25 yrs, we have had many companies trim our trees but Tailored has been the best. , The workers were very careful not to damage plants, garden lights and water sprayers as they brought down many large branches. Higly recommen. read more

Tailored Tree runs an awesome operation from assessment, quoting, providing the services and the clean up. The people who run this company are awesome. They have every piece of equipment needed for large jobs and tight spaces. Their bid was the easiest to understand and they have a professional automated email bid acceptance process. Most of all, the service was truly amazing. Every single person who set foot on my property was awesome. They were operating in a very tight spot, with risk of damage over the house. They did everything perfectly and dropped a large portion of the Cedar to haul out to make some slabs. Cool operators all the way around! Thanks for all the care you took and the awesome job performed flawlessly. PS. City of Folsom was also great to work with through the permitting process. read more

Let me first start off with Kay in the office she was great and other that the great price was the reason I chose Tailored Trees, she answered all my questions (yes there were a lot throughout our work) and always kept good communication with me from start to finish. She sent out Anthony who provided a competitive estimate we couldn't refuse. I called Kay again in the office to accept their offer and schedule our project hoping to get done asap since we can't move into our new home until the 70 ft of Oleander trees removed. Wow, Kay got us in with their busy schedule in within 3 business days. The crew came out on time and completed the job within 2 days due to an equipment issue. Once the trees were all removed they brought in a stump grinder to grind down the roots. There was a window broken from the grinding debris. But we know things happen sometimes out of someone's control. I contacted Kay and she had a glass guy come out quickly to replace the glass. We are happy with the service and care given by Tailored Trees. We will be using them again when we have our front yard tree removed. Give them a call today for all your tree grooming needs. read more

This is my go to tree service, Top Notch! All of their guys did an amazing job, very skilled. I had a huge tree that needed to come down. I was impressed how they planned and maneuvered where the cut piece would land perfectly every time, they were next to a fence and had overhead power lines to be mindful of. It was ground up perfectly when they finished and not a scrap of wood left behind. I highly recommend this company! read more

I used Tailored Tree Service two years ago to trim two backyard trees. They did a great job then, so I decided to use them on a job with four trees. I got a quick call from the business and made an appointment for an estimate the following day. Anthony responded the following day, on time, and we walked the area together. He listened well, asked good questions and seemed to clearly understand what we wanted done. The estimate I received later that day was easy to understand and thorough. Yesterday, a three person crew arrived, again on time, to do the job. They were friendly, worked hard, and cleaned up the yard very well at the end. The lead contacted me 2-3 times to ensure the progress I saw was what I wanted. It was, and they clearly understood both the requests on the estimate and a couple of clarifications as the work progressed. This was a very good experience. read more

We needed several trees and some tall oleanders trimmed to ensure their health and their being able to face the winter winds and remain standing. After receiving a number of estimates, we decided to have Tailored Trees do this job for us. We are so glad we did! The four men, Drake, Chris, Josh, and John, worked hard and were all very nice. They asked questions when appropriate to ensure that we would be pleased with the end results of the trimming. We truly appreciated this approach. They were careful not to damage the roof over which one huge elm tree hangs and not to damage items that we couldn't move. At the end of the trimming, they did a nice job of cleaning up the branches and leaves off the roof, the decks, and the property. We received the invoice marked "paid" on the same day. If all businesses were run this efficiently and with such an acute eye to customer service, homeowners could get work done without worrying about the end results. We would recommend Tailored Trees without hesitation! read more

Great company. They have taken care of three of our oaks. High quality, knowledgeable service.

Tailored Tree provided a very competitive estimate to trim-up a large oak tree which had split off a big main branch. The team of three arrive on-time, trimmed all the broken branches, remove mistletoe and dead branches, chipped and hauled away all the debris, and left the area much cleaner than when they arrived. Would definitely recommend. We will use them again to trim several other large oak trees on our property. read more

Tailored Trees just left my home. I am very impressed with the personnel and the work done. Today they removed the last 7 eucalyptus trees from my yard. Also ground all remaining stumps that could be addressed with their grinder. All debris was removed from my yard and the street and yard were left cleaner than when they arrived. This was done in one day exactly per the estimate. I will definitely call Tailored Trees first when the other trees come up on the chopping block. Thankyou very much for an excellent job. read more

I would not normally make a judgment on an entire business based off of one employee. HOWEVER, this wasn't just any peon. This was a contractor. Whom LIED to us about a very important matter (like 3 acres of total distraction) causing a long chain of upset people and community members whom were also left to clean up said contractors LIE. But let me clarify. He was "joking", he says after the community board is inundated by 50+ community members ready to rip THEM apart because this man told us all a "JOKE" . Like, what grade are you in? A joke is when two people laugh. He told a LIE plain and simple. When the repercussions got ugly, he tried to back pedal. The lack of professionalism in this action is unbelievable and this employee is a liability to the company. He should be fired immediately. Inexcusable behavior. read more

Tailored Tree came out a few weeks ago and did an assessment of the health of our trees and trimmed some back from buildings/hanging over our pool. I wasn't home when they left and when I came back, there was one branch that was still hanging over my pool that we hadn't really noticed. I reached out by email and only a couple hours later they were knocking on my front door to take care of it. Every single person I interacted with was kind, helpful and wanted to make sure the job met my expectations. I would recommend this company because they care that their customers are happy and they do a great job! read more

We had an extremely large oak tree fall during the recent storms. We requested a quote in the morning and by late afternoon Micha had come out to provide an estimate. Due to some landscaping I was having done I had to have a tree service come to my house within a 2 week time frame. The job was actually a fairly small one, comparatively, so I had to find someone who could fit me in for a few hours. Most tree services weren't able to accommodate the short notice. But Anthony came out fairly quickly to assess the job. He was friendly and polite and clearly knew what he was doing. He wrote up an estimate and it was emailed to me. I accepted the estimate, spoke with Kay, a super sweet lady who found a place for me in the schedule and the crew was out a few days later. The crew was very polite, very hardworking, and very professional. I honestly couldn't be happier with the service that was provided! read more

We have several very large oak trees in our backyard, one of which concerned us due to its size and proximity to our house. We called them to have their arborist determine the health of the tree, which he reassured us was good. They gave it a much needed trim and even hung our grandkids swing on a sturdy branch. Their cost was very reasonable and their staff was great to work with. We would definitely use them again! read more
