After the recent violent windstorms earlier this year, we lost several beautiful old large oak trees around the property. Certified arborist and owner of Foothill Tree Service, Chad Dykstra, came out right away to assess the damage and in just a couple of days his skilled and fast working crew came out to cut the trees into appropriately sized logs while chipping lighter branches to be used as mulch under remaining trees. In addition to efficiently handling the problem of all the fallen oaks, Mr. Dykstra was able to help us with the task of selecting, purchasing and planting new tall oaks, much needed to provide future shade as well as contribute to the aesthetic value of the property. He was also helpful in suggesting the proper variety of oak to plant, the Quercus Lobata, each, a 20 ft tall tree with beautiful leaves and cork trunk. The day the six trees were delivered, Mr. Dykstra even stood behind the truck while they were unloading and was ready to reject any he thought not healthy or suitable for the planting. The planting project was assisted by certified arborist Caroline Bartz, owner of Foothill Forest Care. Ms. Bartz took photographs of all the 28 trees on the property then transferred them to an online application called ArborGate. A useful application, we can now identify the trees from a Google aerial map as well as close up for future treatments against bacteria and the need for branch trimming, all to prolong the health of each tree. Because of the daunting task of having to water each tree, not all of them located in the same area of the property, Foothill Tree Service then provided us with a sub-contractor, a certified landscape business, Purdue Landscapes, that installed a complete irrigation system working off a Hunter Irritation Controller which now waters the newly planted trees twice daily. Chad Dykstra is truly passionate about his work and goes way above the usual expected service for his customers because he cares about them as though they were family. He is a well-known arborist in the Community, and because of his distinguished reputation, is consistently hired to work for cities within the Counties of El Dorado, Placer and Sacramento. I contacted Adam at A-Team when a large cedar snapped during a snow storm and crashed down onto my…read moreroof. The tree caused significant damage including a six inch diameter hole though the roof. Adam sent Jake out right away. Jake climbed through 2 feet of snow, removed the cedar from my roof and covered the damage with a plastic tarp to prevent water intrusion. After the snow melted, Adam and his teem returned and took down 4 broken/snapped trees and several that were leaning towards my home. The trees included a 100' pine and a 90' cedar. We hired Cory at Jedi Services to do a number of tasks, including moving a large chicken coop, tear…read moredown and removal of an old greenhouse, and hauling away of the greenhouse and a large pile of junk we cleaned out of our basement. Once the greenhouse was removed, Cory and his crew fixed the terracing, built a new retaining wall, and prepared the empty spot for a new chicken coop. Cory is an irrigation specialist! He fixed numerous broken underground irrigation pipes and sprinklers, and capped off the ones we don't use anymore - he completely renovated our old sprinkler system so it's like new again, including programming the system timer and explaining how it all works! Cory and crew arrived on time, they were neat, polite, professional, efficient, and hard working, and we're totally delighted with their work ethic.
