AYCE 4 sushi rolls - salmon lovers, jets, garden state and Godzilla
    Sarah P.

The food was pretty good, but unfortunately our AYCE experienced was tarnished. We were greeted promptly by a very nice waitress who gave us a sheet to fill out what items we wanted for the all you can eat special @ $33 per person. The atmosphere was pretty quiet here, but I don't really expect anything crazy for a local sushi spot. We picked 2 salads, a couple of apps (gyoza, chicken katsu, teriyaki shrimp, mini ramen noodle cups) and then 4 sushi rolls. We were served our salad, then waited quite a while before our sushi came out. Thought it was weird because usually at AYCE places apps are served first and come pretty quickly as they're ready, then sushi is the last course, but I thought maybe they just did things differently here. The Jets roll was great and the Godzilla roll was second best. I wouldn't recommend the salmon lovers roll. Some time had passed so we flagged the server to see where our apps were - at this point it had been about an hour and our stomachs were settling so we were starting to get full. Turns out the apps chef never saw that order and didn't make any of it. We decided to change it to just the chicken katsu and gyoza since too much time had passed. Both were good, but not enough to really save our experience and have us coming back. I will say they let us take our last few sushi pieces and gyoza home in a small box which was very nice. The servers were very sweet and the food had some highlights, just hope you catch their chef on a good day!

I absolutely love walking into a sushi restaurant and being greeted by a pleasant aroma, free from the distinct smell of fish. The sushi was incredibly fresh, and their special rolls were simply delicious. Good options for all you can eat sushi and great service.

So decorative and flavorful sushi dishes. The waiters are very patient and pleasant. The ambiance is for a casual good time of conversation and quality dishes. Oh yes, this my new favorite.

A Sushi in Carlstadt is a new place that just opened recently. The service was very good from the server to the people making the sushi for you. Everyone greeted you when you enter and when you leave. I think that's a very good impression for a Japanese sushi restaurant because not a lot of places do this. Honestly, this might be the only one around the area that has this kind of good service. By far, this is THE place for AYCE sushi compared to all the other AYCE spots in the area/county. The price is slightly higher than the rest, but... it's in the quality of the service, the fresh sushi, and the food... Oh, so good... Their Salmon Lover is a must on the menu. The way that it melts in your mouth... I have no words to describe it. It was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Located conveniently right on Route17 South, so it's super easy to find and access. Plenty of free parking in the building complex, so you don't have to worry about where to park or paying for parking. Overall, I'm really glad I gave this place a try, and I'll definitely be coming back!

This is a great option for all you can eat sushi in the area. Service was friendly and attentive. The sushi spot has a touch of Marvel theme on the inside, they also have a tv and good music playing! They have a ton of roll options included in the all you can eat as well as different apps and sides. Price for all you can eat is a good value for the size and quality of the rolls you get. As with most all you can eat, they do note they will charge for uneaten food. The spicy Kani salad was good, nice portion size for one or two people. The rolls were fun - a couple New Jersey theme ones including sports teams and town. They also had some Marvel/superhero named rolls. Two of my favorites were the Naruto and Cape May. The Naruto was wrapped in cucumber which I never had before - was super refreshing. All the fish tasted fresh, they weren't drowning in sauces like some places do. Rice ratio on the roll was also good! Will definitely be coming back here!

Went here for date night and had a great time. The ambience was casual and friendly. Everyone was very polite when serving us. Service was very prompt and even though we ordered more than once we were always treated politely. The food was excellent and great quality for the price it's a great deal.

Having been to many sushi places. A Sushi is definitely a sushi place that will impress and make you wanting to visit again and again. They have a huge selection of different sushi's that have never been seen or created before. Each sushi roll seems to be handcrafted to taste and ingredients carefully selected to make the perfect sushi. Atmosphere: A Sushi is located next to a busy highway amongst New Jersey commuters. Make sure you do not miss the exit to pull into their parking lot. When walking in you'll notice a lot of figurines of The Avengers. Hence where their logo spin off came from. The place is quaint with only a few seats. Luckily we got to visit this place during what seems to be a slow session during dinner. The whole restaurant is painted with black walls and an open concept kitchen. Staff: Staff were very friendly and patient because we definitely stayed past closing time. They were very catering because half our table were made up of kids. A Sushi will not disappoint. Recommendation: CJ Roll, Peter Roll, Parker Roll & I'm Iron roll.

Came again with my family! I have been coming 1x a week for the lunch special, but I had to share to my extended family about this place. We enjoyed an abundance of food (this is just one picture of SOME of the rolls lol)! Still recommend this place, still love this place. Thank you A Sushi!

Sushi was fresh and delicious and the staff really welcoming and attentive. Great value for the AYCE menu, we ordered several rolls (beyond what's pictured in review) including the Salmon Lover and Parker rolls which were sooo good! Started off with an order of gyoza and takoyaki which were also tasty! The Avengers theme of the place was fun with various decor pieces inside and superhero-named rolls too. The only thing we didn't realize was it seemed to be BYOB and for sure will be bringing a couple Sapporos for next time!

My answer is always an immediate, "OMGOSH YES," and we know exactly where we're going -- Soba Noodle Azuma. We always get the cold soba combo, LARGE PLEASE. The soba is just SOOO good -- the right chew, the right temperature, the right texture, and the right amount. I used to get the small, now I get the large, but if I can't finish it, my husband will. We've gotten the combos with salmon sashimi, katsu, curry, chicken egg bowl, and the beef bowl. All were good, just depends on what you're craving that day for a little extra something on the side from your soba. And we ALWAYS get their cucumber appetizer. We love our cucumber apps, so we usually get it at every restaurant if it's on the menu, but azuma makes it THE BEST. We also had their okonomiyaki one time. It was really good and very filling, but I feel like it was over-sauced (but im also not a "saucey" type of person). They have other great things on their menu that we want to try, but we just can't get enough of their soba! They're BYOB, so that's a nice little perk if you want to have some light drinks during lunch or dinner. I want to go there with some sake one night and try all of their appetizers. Also, it's easy on the wallet for such good food and it's so filling. Great food, great value, nice casual and cozy atmosphere. The servers are straightforward and polite. Also had takoyaki, you get 5 pieces it's amazing and soft too Service is respectful and amazing. The overall music and design of the place is relaxing. I felt like it was winter again sitting there.
