The first time I use moving company, because I use cubesmart, they use this shitty company. I hire 2 workers to help me move out all my furnitures, which are not too much (I live alone), thought they are able to finish all the work in 2 hours so no extra charge fee. They use 4 HOURS, so they can charge more. I should just tell my friends to help me move. Also, I asked them not park where that will get tickets, they just let me sign a contract that indicate I will pay the tickets, I didn't see the option at beginning. At the end, they say I need to pay tickets because I signed the contract. The thing makes me feel good is that the manager of the company talked to me and explained after that. As of right now I'm making this review based on customer service . On Monday I set up a move for today between the hours of 4pm-7pm to move my items into CubeSmart Storage. I have not yet heard back from the company and I've been calling and leaving voicemails. They informed me that they do not do any labor and that all they supply is the truck and driver. I am 9 months pregnant ... so I hired movers who are now on their way to move the items yet I still can't hear back from the company as to when the truck is arriving , no confirmation email or phone call and nobody answers the phone. Super unprofessional . So I guess I'll be waiting here until a truck magically shows up or until I get a phone call back .. Update : super move called me because I made a review . Which nothing in my review said was faulty. They state that the day they book the reservation is the confirmation which I've never heard of before . If you book a doctors appointment or any appointment with any company they call you either the morning of or day before to confirm and verify. For the simple fact of when they called me they had a wrong address. Had I not called and left multiple voicemails I'm pretty sure nobody would have gotten back to me . I understand the time window is 4-7pm. Which I also have a problem with. My driver did call me and say he was running late which is understandable but by the time we got to cube smart cube smart informed us we only had 10 minutes because after 7:45 the code for the elevator will shut off and no longer allow us to move my belongings. So today I had to pay movers once again to tell help move the rest of my belongings today once CubeSmart opened back up. My driver was great . Very nice and helpful .. as far as the office and company itself . They need a better system. The simple fact that you can never speak to somebody and have to wait for a call back every single time no matter which option you chose . read more

I had Jimmy and his crew move me personally a few times, and they always did a superb job. I also recommended them to at least half a dozen friends, who never complained about the move and always said that their personal belongings arrived on time, no damage done, and that the movers also offered to help put together certain pieces of furniture that needed assembly. HORRENDOUS!!! Absolutely awful experience, I wish I could give negative stars. Beware of the CubeSmart moving deal - just go with a reputable mover that you trust! After reserving a unit at CubeSmart I was told the storage unit came with a free truck and driver, and that I should call A Super Move directly if I wanted to add on anything additional (I needed actual laborers to help me move). I had planned to use a local moving service that I knew always did a great job but, given the partnership w/CubeSmart, I thought this might be easier. WRONG!!! I called almost 2 weeks before my desired move date to get this set up and was told it wouldn't be an issue (I needed pickup from my apartment, then some stuff dropped off at my new home, and the rest dropped at the storage unit). They gave me a great price for the additional movers and told me I was set for April 17th between 10am-12pm. I took the day off of work to make sure everything went well. I woke up this morning and called CubeSmart at 9am to see if they had a better idea when the pickup would be. My called was returned by a woman named Carrie who seemed a little confused and said that my appointment was never "confirmed" despite having ALL of my information (the 3 locations and my apartment unit #). She told me the driver would be able to squeeze me in and would get to me before 12pm, but that he would call me very soon. From there it became a wild goose chase. I was back and forth on the phone with Carrie (who wouldnt answer, I would need to get a call back) and the driver (whos voicemail was full) on when and IF I would actually be getting moved. Around 12:30pm I was told by Carrie he would be there before 2pm. Shortly after, the driver told me he would call me in 1-1.5 hours and let me know "where he was at".. When I tried to ask him for an estimate of time/where he was/etc he rushed me off the phone and told me he was "doing the best he could but I was a last minute addition" and that I need to stop calling him because I'm getting in the way of his job. I called Carrie again multiple times and she told me they canceled the rest of his schedule so that he could move me. At this point it was 2pm, and I told her I needed to get to CubeSmart before 6:45 to sign my lease and check in my unit. She said there was no reason why he shouldnt be on his way. By 3pm, I was livid. I called Carrie and left a message saying that if I didn't hear from him that I would need to cancel. She called me back and waived fees for my inconvenience, but I was really doubting whether I would get to CubeSmart in time especially with NY traffic during rush hour. I finally got a hold of the driver at 2:50 and he said he was wrapping up in 15 mins and would be on his way to me but that he had to call me back. Called back 10 mins later asking for the cross streets of my pickup location. When I told him, he had the incorrect city as the pickup location and I tried to tell him my address. He started yelling at me saying he would call me when he got there, but he DIDNT CONFIRM THE RIGHT ADDRESS. I asked him where he was coming from and when he would be at the CORRECT pick up location but he dismissed me and yelled at me to let him get back to work and that he was doing me a favor by getting this done for me. I tried to explain I had to get to CubeSmart by a certain time and he told me that I shouldnt worry about it, that it was his thing, meanwhile he didn't even know where I was going. At this point, I called Carrie back and told her to cancel the move and I would make my own arrangements. I had ZERO confidence that they a) could get to where I needed to go b) would move my things properly and in a non-rushed manner c) would treat me with respect. As a customer, I was being yelled at and told I was being done a favor. It was completely uncalled for. Carrie was very apologetic and really tried to make it work (she was stressed out too.) The owner, Jimmy, called me afterwards to apologize also. Unfortunately, there isn't anything that could be said or done to fix the situation especially after reading all of the other yelp reviews with similar issues. A Super Move is a Super Nightmare and I would never, ever recommend this to anyone. I wasted a day off and now have to live on a couch for a week because of A Super Move. Never again. read more

This is one of the WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER!! There staff are so horrible and care free, very misleading in there ad. They take the long route so there time can last longer, so they can make more money. Very inconsiderate and inhuman staff with disgusting customer service. We call them a million times playing phone tag back and forth and by the grace of god we got in contact with them to make an appointment. If you have any nice furniture be prepared for everything to be dirty, the inside of the truck is very filthy. Overall don't do it to yourself, save yourself the trip. read more

Full disclosure, after reading all the negative comments I was more than a little concerned about my move into my Cube Smart storage unit today. An understatement! I reached out to the staff ahead of time to confirm all the details and I was mentally prepared for the literal worst this morning. To my pleasant surprise it was actually the best move I've had in my life, by far! The coordination was amazing from start to finish. A Super Move went over and beyond (perhaps because I was "that crazy person" who followed up my calls with an email confirming all the details of the call). This morning 2 hours before my delivery was set to take place I received a very professional message from my driver (Reggie) called letting me know that he was on his way to a big delivery on the other side of Brooklyn and that I was next in line- he would be reaching me between 10:30 & 11. My pickup window was between 10 and 12, so this was perfect. He then called again as he was leaving the delivery to give me the actual eta from his gps. This sharper eta allowed me to secure my friend to assist me with the load at 11. The truck arrived early before my friend even arrived. Reggie was so kind to help me load everything (I didn't have a ton of stuff I was moving into a 5x8 unit but some was heavy). He did this against all my protests and in record speed I was on my way! My friend arrived as we were loading my last item. I really couldn't believe it, it was such a well coordinated process. The Cube Smart drop off was a bit tricky logistically, it was a small crowded, poorly-monitored street but Reggie navigated well, allowing my friend and I to grab my stuff as the truck idled. He was then on his way before I could even tip him for helping me load all of my belonging. Thank you!!! You made my gentrification scramble from my apartment a seamless one. I should have known right from the start by looking at their website - which hasn't been updated since 1998 - that I couldn't trust this company. Sure enough. I hired A Super Move because they had a partnership with CubeSmart and because their prices were incredibly cheap. Too good to be true. I was scheduled for Saturday, but the mover showed up more than three hours late - too late to get into the storage unit. So the driver told me he'd be at my place first thing in the morning. After hours of silence I get a call telling me they'll actually be there in the late afternoon. But that window of time came and went with no phone call or communication from A Super Move. So I had to call them to cancel. I hired another moving company to come the next day. Never got a response or an apology from A Super Move. Horrible customer service. Good think I had a flexible schedule because if I were moving out on a schedule I would have been totally screwed. read more

The movers themselves were great guys, and careful about my furniture. I have an over-sized easy chair (that I'm slightly manic about), and they took great care moving it. I Had a great experience with A Super Move. I hired them through cubesmart as their free truck and driver option. I was scheduled between 2 and 4 pm. At exactly 2pm my truck called me to let me know he was running late but he should still make within the window. 3pm rolled around and he called me again to update me on his status. I wasn't thrilled about waiting but it was not his fault (being a self move truck) that the people before me were slow, and it was so nice that he cared enough to let me know when he would arrive. At 330 I started bringing my stuff down the elevator and by 4:05 I had gotten a call that he was there. I will take 5 minutes late any day if you are being transparent about what is happening. The truck driver made my move so smooth. He pulled up right where I told him on the phone and he helped! The cubesmart rep told me the guy was just going to sit in the truck. The truck was way to big for my one bedroom apartment I asked about it and he told me the move earlier that day was big so he had to bring the big truck. he helped us get everything flat on the floor to prevent any crashing around. Then to top it all off he let us ride in the cab with him to my storage destination! Cubesmart had also informed me that that would not happen. He also assisted with the unload when I was his last move of the day and he could have easily chilled in the cab. If all the drivers are like this, I highly recommend this moving company. read more

I use a super move with my cube smart storage unit. I took the offer of the free person and truck, biggest mistake. I booked it 8.00am in the morning because my friend was going to help me. He owns a store so 8 in the morning was perfect for him. In the day of the move I check my phone and see two messages on my voice left late at night. I hear the voice message and they stated they can't come at 8:00am because of another move and they was backed up. I was pissed because my stuff was already outside at this time and my friend had to leave soon. I could not believe they called me the night before to tell me this information. I called them right away and asked why they are not there at 8:00am. They said they called me to tell me they be there at 11:00am. At 11:00am I had other plans. Which I had to cancel those plans. My family was also helping me and got mad at me about the whole ordeal. I wish they would have called me two days in advance to tell me this then I would have gotten a moving company that can meet me at that time and date. At the same time I had to deal with negativity from a family member about the situation. Instead of trying to help me this person was bashing me verbally and acting like a monster. I understand I should have checked my messages earlier but I was busy packing up my things and they used a different phone number to call then what is on the card. I felt it was unprofessional for the company to cancel on me last minute. The night before and the day of the move. I even asked them can they find another guy or truck. They stated they will find out and never called me back. I had to find out by calling them back that the manager started no to finding another person or truck. I asked to speak to the manger, I was told he wasn't there and they hung up the phone. This storage company is horrible I will never call them for anything again. Very disrespectful. read more

This service was booked as part of a promotion with Cubesmart allowing the customer a free truck service (driver + truck) for a two hour window. They told us to have things at curbside 1 hr prior to scheduled time so we don't delay the free service for other people using it. Fine. On the date of service they did keep good contact notifying they were between 1-2 hrs behind schedule. Ok. They sent a truck that doesn't have a working lift. Luckily, I had a group of friends that lifted each item, greater than or equal to two feet into the air and into the truck. This involved my friends jumping up and down the inside of the truck and two to three men lifts of all my items by my friends. One of the drivers became confrontational when given feedback about the broken truck they sent, saying the lift is reserved for washing machines and that I need to realize it's a free service. Fact 1, they don't know what items I intend to move prior to the service, Fact 2, lifts are functional supports for lifting multiple heavy items to prevent bodily injury, (have you ever lifted a dining room table or exercise bike above your head?) Fact 3, they get paid through Cubesmart, Fact 4, being argumentive is never an appropriate customer driven response reaction. That broken truck was a liability for all. Cluster that with poor driver reaction makes it an un-"Lucky" situation. Thanks and no thanks supermove. I appreciate it but I shouldn't feel like I deserve subpar customer service because I engaged in a service contract with one of your business associates (Cubesmart) that makes the benefit free for me. Tip to others: Prepare for the worse and hope for the best. read more

We had a great experience with A Super Move. I was a little wary after reading some reviews about lack of communication, but I was told beforehand that they work entirely through voicemail and I did receive a callback within 24 hours. We used them because they offered a free two hour use of the truck through Safeguard Self Storage, but we hired two additional movers through them. We were given a delivery window and the driver arrived within that time, but the other mover was late so the driver/mover did the majority of the moving with my husband and some of his friends. Eventually the other mover arrived with a partner from a different move, and we were not charged for the extra mover at the end. They carefully packed the truck and unloaded it into our storage unit. There was one glass casualty, but they offered to pay for replacement. Overall very happy with them, reasonably priced and would definite use them again in the future. read more

I booked this moving service through CubeSmart for free since it was just me and my family (not professional movers in the least!). When they called the morning of they asked if I wanted people who could help move for an additional cost, since the drivers technically aren't allowed to. I hesitated since I had my family already coming but the guy said just in case... he was right. My family got in a minor car accident on the way and couldn't make it in time. I was freaking out trying to think how I would move multiple items of HEAVY furniture when the two men arrived and they repeatedly made sure I was okay and made sure I kept calling my family to make sure they were as well. They did EVERYTHING. Carried everything into the truck and into the storage unit, I barely had to lift a finger. They said I could pay whatever I could afford to, instead of charging a flat fee right there. I paid as much as I could because I couldn't be more grateful. I booked super move through Cube Smart storage since they offered a free truck. After calling multiple times I finally spoke to the manager and asked if could hire 2 men to assist with my move at an additional cost. He was less than personable but none the less scheduled everything. Everything seemed fine until the day of the move the driver calls and is 3 hours late and has no explanation! Then he arrives at my building without insurance! I asked for my items to be wrapped and paid additional for wrapping. It took then 4 hours to move a 1 bedroom apt in to a truck!. Not to mention they did no packing what so ever!! We arrive at Cube Smart storage and I see my wood furniture is damaged has multiple dents and scratches. All of my items are thrown in storage unit with no rhyme or reason. Knobs broke off all my dressers and night stands. Nothing was wrapped! The entire move took 6 hours. The distance between the apt and the storage unit was 6 miles. While the men that arrived were polite they were inexperienced and essentially ruined my beautiful furniture. Now that I'm moving out of my unit I can see all the damage that has been done. I paid 3 months for a storage unit and most all of these items will have to be disposed of. Really bad experience for a single girl relying on professionals to move her out! I recently moved again and used OZ movers and they are an amazing well oiled machine. I am very dissatisfied with a super move inc and I would not recommend them to anyone. I had a very bad experience with them yesterday 10-29-13. I rented a storage space at cube smart and they offered 2hrs free service with a super move inc. So I called super move inc to set up a day and time for them to pick up my things to move (the move was from Brooklyn to queens) First of all the guy on the phone was very rude. He advised me that the first 2hrs were free with truck and driver and each additional 1/2 hr would be a fee of $50 . I was fine with that because I had a few friends helping move my things so I knew it wouldn't take over 2hr. The driver that came was very nice. After everything was loaded we proceeded to leave to head to the storage location. I arrived at the location 10-15 before the driver because instead of taking the conduit which would have been shorter he took another way. Anyway the driver finally arrived coming from a different direction. The items were unloaded off of the truck before the 2hrs was completed. The driver then gives me an invoice to sign. As I am reading the invoice I notice a $50 charge on there where it says emergency move. I asked the driver to explain to me what that was and he advised that he was going to call his boss and find out. He called his boss and his boss advised that the $50 charge was for going over the mileage. I asked the driver if he could give me the phone and I spoke with the guy that took my reservation which I found out later that he is the owner of the company. I got on the phone and explained to the guy that he never advised me that there would be a $50 charge for going over mileage. I never knew that with the 2hrs free that there was a mileage restriction and there would be a charge. I also asked him if the calls are recorded so that I could prove that he never mentioned a over mileage fee he advised no. (So basically it was my word against the owners word which is a no win situation. ) The guy began arguing with me and telling me that he did explain to me that there would be an additional fee. After talking to me so rudely the owner tells me that he is going to put it on my storage bill and that I HAD to pay for it and for me to put the driver back on the phone. I then went inside and spoke with the manager of the storage company and called her boss and was told that I would have to take it up with A super move and that they have nothing to do with it. So now I have a $50 charge attached to my storage unit fee because of this. I want everyone to know that a super move inc is a rip off and again I would not recommend them to anyone that I know. I used Super Move during the holidays to move furniture from a one bedroom co-op in Westchester to a house in Long Island. The movers, Lee and Justin, were punctual and awesome. We had some difficulties with parking in the complex, but they were so patient and flexible. Every time they had to move the truck, they did so with ease. If anything, I felt bad because they had to stop what they were doing to move the truck. They were extremely understanding about the whole issue. On top of that, it was raining outside. They did a great job wrapping my furniture and made sure it stayed dry. When we were commuting to Long Island from Westchester, they had to go the commercial route. I've heard horror stories of movers taking their time and blaming "traffic" to get more hours. Not these guys! I took the regular route and they were at our house shortly after. When they got to the house, they were extremely careful placing the furniture, especially since we just got the hardwood floors done. They brought in each piece of furniture carefully and assembled each piece in the house. These two gentlemen made a stressful situation very relaxed. I highly recommend this moving company! read more
