All Around Trucking provided unprofessional and unsanitary services during which they did not meet…read moredeadlines, violated the terms of our contract, broke furniture and personal belongings, and moved my items carelessly and in a chaotic and disorganized fashion. I would not recommend hiring them. I've listed a subset of the issues below. Damage to belongings and chaotic process. All Around Trucking left a significant amount of furniture and boxes in the incorrect location of my new house and haphazardly. Items were physically crushed during the move. Items that did not have any relationship to one another were packed in the same box while items that were related to one another were frequently packed in different boxes. In fact, various lamps arrived and were deliberately left in multiple pieces in different rooms across my new house with certain components missing. Missing personal belongings. This includes two outdoor statues and a portion of a glass desk. Home damage. All Around Trucking caused physical damage to the floors and walls of the house we moved into by aggressively and carelessly banging boxes and furniture into the walls and floor. Timing. All Around Trucking was contractually bound to completely pack the house we moved from on Friday. However, the movers worked approximately 4 hours on Friday, did not complete the job, and left early. They came back the next day only to complete the move in a disorganized fashion since they were rushed and didn't have enough time to do everything. They also behaved in an unsanitary manner. Movers. The movers (who I tipped well) affirmatively said some of the furniture wouldn't fit in certain rooms. They dumped furniture, boxes, and other belongings wherever was convenient for them. The movers also (incorrectly) alleged that a couch, a treadmill, and an elliptical machine would not fit in the basement, so they left such belongings chaotically in my garage. I needed to hire a separate moving company at additional cost to complete the job, in addition to doing certain of the work myself. The movers also behaved disrespectfully. They left garbage, including food, wrappers, drinks, and other trash in several rooms of both the house we moved from and the house we moved to. They used the bathroom, yet did not flush the toilet - disgusting. I needed to hire a professional to clean up the mess the movers made. They left family photographs and other important mementos, as well as my primary filing cabinet, in the house we moved from. All Around Trucking failed to comprehensively and correctly move my furniture and belongings. I am 71 years old. I hired All Around Trucking to simplify my move. Whenever I emailed asking for a quote, Bobby always got back to me very quickly. They're often able to fit an insanely impressive amount of items and furniture into their moving vehicle. They are lightning fast to come in, assess, shrink wrap large items, and get them out the door. Everything from couches to vinyl records and dishes have stayed in one piece. After being pretty badly ripped off by another moving company when I first arrived in New York, it's a relief to know that Bobby and his team are honest, work hard as hell, and charge fair rates. Although Terrence did not execute the move, he gave the job to another company and my experience with them was quite unpleasant. You can read about it at "Everydaymovers." The reviews there suggest that they might not be the best people to refer but I had no idea who was coming, just a "couple guys" who could do the job since he was not able to fit it into his schedule. I was in the middle of writing the reviews and Terrence did call to apologize and I really don't feel like getting an impassioned response here on Yelp, hence the 3 stars. It looks like from reading the reviews that you should insist on Terrence himself (or one of the other people mentioned as being great) or find other people yourself so that you and they can be directly accountable to each other. (The other company blamed me for things that had nothing to do with me.)

I used them twice and just tried to use them a third time…read more The main issue I have is that their site is misleading. First, it says 2 men with a sprinter van = $95 for 1hr. Everywhere a number is shown it says $95, but it also mentions 2hrs minimum, so the minimum total is $190 plus tip. If you're booking quickly, please be sure to recognize that even for a 1hr move you'll be paying over $200 with tip. Second, their site shows availability for the current day, but when you try to book or call, they will frequently say there is no availability (this happened to me twice). When you call in they'll try to book you for a later day. That is a bait and switch and takes up my time that I could have used to find a different mover. Finally, they denied me service today, partly because their drivers are unavailable (site shows availability for every time slot today), and partly because they said I was unhappy with the price I paid last time (which is true, I suggested they update their website, and the site still doesn't list "$190" anywhere as the minimum total). I give them two stars because the moving service was professional and seamless, but all the extra effort around scheduling and pricing make it not worth the hassle. Please note that they also push their customers to leave yelp reviews, which likely skews their overall rating higher than it otherwise would be.

I was moving a 5 medium sized pieces of furniture and needed a bed taken outside. I was working with Jahfari (spelling?) and one other mover and they used a sprinter van- $90/hr. They were great to work with, quick, careful, and had a good attitude. I used them for about 3 hours including travel. There was an ~$83 deposit, $100 for the COI which my building required, and the $90/hr and I tipped 25%. I moved from South Williamsburg to the East Village.
