This was one of the first times I've gone for a pedi in about a year... I have nerve damage from past back surgery and I can no longer do my own. Focus on your client, I went for a toe nail clipping and she cut my toe to where it was bleeding, she was focused more on talking and not concentrating on what she was doing. Will never go their again , I guess my service was not expensive enough, they only want pedicures and manicures where it cost more, when they found out I only wanted a toe nail clip no one wanted to take me read more

This salon was dirty and chaotic. The woman's tools were unsanitary and she cut my finger when filing my nail. As I was bleeding she attempted to put some strange chemicals from a dirty unlabeled bottle on the open wound and I had to ask her to stop. I will never return and my finger still hurts. read more

I had the worst experience twice in a row at this place! If you are lucky to have the owner do your nails then you might walk out happy - but everyone else will not be worth your time or money! Bad manicure or color change, worst pedicure, and unfriendly employees!! I walked in today for a color change and I got a service that I could have done at my own house for free!!! I made an appointment for a pedi with Lena recommended by her long-time customer, my good friend , and she was too busy for my apt that was set for me with her. I was taken almost 30 min later by someone else no apology. The whole time, she's on her headphones talking to someone. Her scrub down was weak, and she didn't do great on cleanup on nails. I was very disappointed. It was super unprofessional, and now I probably won't be back because of it. It's a shame. She talked highly about Lena. She didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. I use to love going here, but today was terrible! I had to leave in the middle of my no chip! First off it took 1 hr 1/2 just to remove and file my nails! The guy didn't have a clue what he was doing for sure! After he filed my nails they were so sharp like knives! Ugh then he proceeded to start painting them! Had a pedicure on Saturday afternoon and it was a poor experience. Technicians need to think about what they've doing!! I had already cut my nails at home but the technician immediately started to cut them without even looking at them. I stopped her. The cuticles on my feet were non-existent except maybe my big toe. She cut and cut without even looking at them first. I don't have them use a scraper for calluses, only a pumice which I supply because it's stronger than theirs. I had to redo the calluses when I got home. The scrub and massage were marginal at best. The experience was a waste of time and money. I'll be talking to the manager asking to give me someone who thinks the next time. read more

My granddaughter went to get her nails done for her 8th grade dance and graduation. The woman was extremely rude and not friendly at all! She rushed through the process. My granddaughter asked why she left so much space between the cuticle and nail. She was told something she could not understand. She filed her nails roughly and hurt her skin. This is my favorite spot to get a pedicure. Their basic pedicure feels more than a basic pedi. This place is not near me so sometimes when I want a pedi I will try a new place around me...then I am incredibly disappointed that they did not pamper me like they do at A.Q. Their basic pedicures lasts a little longer than other places (especially the massaging part) and I love the warm towel part. So I guess I will do the extra driving for the extra pedicure perks. I just tried their VIP spa pedicure this past week and wow talk about an hour of relaxation. They did a foot scrub, mint mask, paraffin treatment, another lotion treatment, extra massage time...I think I doze off for a bit. Went there today, 12/15/19 to get a nail dip. I had picked #25 for a mauve looking color. Well, it turned out red. It was not the color that had matched the sample. Female worker who did not do my nails stated many things that could not be possible for the color to turn red and not mauve. She stated my natural nails were too pink, the base they applied was also pink, the sun made the sample fade. All of these excuses that made no sense for a color to change. How can the sun make a color mauve turn red when they have a black screen covering the window. I was so upset and asked for a discount that they refused to give me and and said I could change my color to a different one or go back tomorrow to change. I will never go back again. Customer service was not as high to me as other reviews mentioned. People often question Hispanics speaking a different language but never make any comments to those who do your nails who refuse to speak English as well. Let that sink in... read more

Love this nail salon! I've struggled in the past to find a salon I genuinely enjoy, and none can compare to A Q. The vibe inside is very cozy and welcoming. Interior is all updated and clean. Vivian is very pleasant and hospitable. She does a fantastic job. On a super busy afternoon, she still took her time on my nails, while also making sure other customers were being taken care of. I have been going to the salon for many years and appreciated them always trying to accommodate a walk-in. The last couple of times the pedicures have been pretty rough and they are pretty aggressive with the toenail cuticle scissors and end up pulling out the side of the toenail which can be very painful. I thought it was an exception the last time it happened but it's been a little tortuous the two times I went. it has been extremely rushed and the technicians feel pressured to finish quickly and because of that I think they work fast and aggressive without a delicate touch. Today I have two very sore and red irritated sides of my big toenails so I think unfortunately I have to give up on them. read more

I took my mom to this salon yesterday for a little mani-pedi pampering for her birthday. I called in the morning to make an appointment, as I am not a fan of walking in and having to wait, and the woman on the phone said she could get us in at 12:30pm. We arrived at 12:30pm and thought the salon was pretty empty, until we poked around the corner to see all the pedicure chairs completely full. All technicians were working as well, so we knew we would have to unfortunately wait. We picked our colors and they surprisingly had us in pedi chairs within 5 minutes. Once we were comfortable we soon realized that we would be waiting a while. 35 minutes later, as we were about to dry our feet off and leave, but the woman must have heard our discussion and swooped in to proclaim it would only be "1 more minute". We again contemplated leaving, because we weren't going to pay to be rushed out of this salon. The technicians were busting their butts to get to all customers in a timely manner, so it wasn't as if anyone was dragging, and they all appeared to appreciate the busyness of the salon. We decided to stay and I have to say our experience changed from there. The gentleman that did my nails was a little rough with my cuticles, but he took his time, and did not seem irritated (as most do) while he was going through his routine. He did a great job with my cuticles and the painting of my nails. He moved fast, but I didn't feel rushed, and he made very few, if any mistakes. The woman that did my mom even gave her an extra special birthday back massage. I have never been to this location before, so I don't know if thats customary? I assumed it wasn't since I received the standard arm and hand massage. It appeared that time management was the simple snafu in this salon. I can only imagine how difficult it is to manage walk in's and folks that call in to make reservations. Anyway, my nails look great, my mom was pleased with her birthday mani- pedi, and it turned out to be a pretty good experience. My wife went here a three times and no more. Dirty and unsanitary tools. Used nail files. She asked for them to be sterilized and got a huff. The third time she requested a specific person. Another staffer approached her in the waiting area to do her and said she is waiting for so and so. She got huffy and started speaking in her native language to her colleagues. Done there. She now goes to Orland Park where the tools are professionally sanitized and removed from a sealed plastic bag each time. AG can keep their unsanitary conditions and lousy attitude. Do you really want dirty tools from someone's fungus nails or toenails on your fingernails? Look at the other one star ratings here. Overpriced. I went in for a regular pedicure and a gel manicure and it was $72. No one had name tags so I don't know who helped me but she offered me two kinds of pedicure, the first one for $39 and the second for $52 but she couldn't explain to me the difference between the two of them. Overall the pedicure was fine but when it came to my gel manicure she was about to paint my nails without cutting my cuticles, she just pushed it back so I had to ask her to cut them short but she still didn't. Then I asked her not to cut my nails short because I like them longer, only file them, she filed them to the stub, super short. I really don't like short nails and this is the shortest I've ever had my nails walking out of a nail salon. And lastly I picked a color that I had before and absolutely loved, but because she only did two coats and not that well I could still see through my nail. I was very disappointed to spend $72 and walk out of there unhappy. Not going back again read more

Finally found a good nail salon. They stayed open an extra hour to finish my nails. They were so nice and did an amazing job.

I have been coming here for over 6 months now since I am new to the area. Powder dip was good but today I got a pedicure and the lady was so rude. My feet don't even look like I got a pedicure. I have dead skin all over my feet and my ankles are still rough. She also pulled out the side of my big toe and now I am in pain. She also added acetone to the nail polish to finish my nails and got upset because I told her not to do that since the manicure won't last that way. She was throwing my hand around and moving my fingers in an aggressive way. Will not be going back. Very upset. I hope I don't get an infection in my toe. read more

I've had my nails done here a few times and they've done a decent job. The biggest issue is customer service and timing. It's close to my house so I've given it multiple chances despite the fact that I'm consistently let down. Last time I made an appt and waited 35 minutes before i was acknowledged again after checking in. It was the holidays so I cut them some slack. I just came from another appt where I waited over an hour without being serviced. I understand overbooking and busy days, however this happens regularly and without the acknowledgement of the staff. It's frustrating when they don't inform you how late they're running or even apologize. Unfortunately despite the convenience, I won't be giving them another shot. read more

I got my nails done here once a few months ago. I had gotten acrylics. The nail tech who had done my nails at this salon was somewhat rough while doing my nails and my nails looked pretty thick when you looked at them. It may have just been that nail tech that just didn't do a good job. My sister went with me and got acrylics as well and she didn't like how hers turned out.
