2007 Honda Civic 2 dr EX Paint job + Body Work…read more Positives: 1. Eduardo (manager) and Vanessa (Assistant) were nice and respectful. 2. The paint job and body work looks fairly good for the price ($2000). You see a lot of YouTube videos of Maaco painting your windows, headlights and stuff. Thankfully, they did not. 3. Paint job + Body work took about 6 business days, maybe 5 if you don't want to count Thanksgiving. Negatives: 1. They painted my car the wrong color. I wanted to switch the car from Blue to White. They painted it Blue. 1B. Normally a color change costs $300 extra. I had received a discount for the color change and paid $100 for it instead. By painting the car the wrong color, they offered to either refund me the $100 or have it painted again by Friday. The former refunds me $100 but effectively removes the discount for which I had chosen to do the job with them in the first place. The latter further breaks the job ETA and makes it a 10 day wait (potentially longer considering none of the ETA's and agreements were honored). Essentially, a lose lose situation for me. I opted to just leave the car blue and call it an act of god. 1C. When they added the color change for $100, they also added another $34 of fees that were not included in the initial estimate to just repaint car blue. When I tried to pay the initial estimate, Vanessa became confused by the fact that the addition of the color change was actually an extra $134 rather than $100 and wanted to charge me those extra $34. I then had to wait 20 minutes for Eduardo to come, and I had to explain it to him 3 times before he understood that those additional $34 were added for the white color paint I never received. It was a waste of time, and it was frustrating considering I was already not thrilled that my vehicle had being painted the wrong color. 2. They said they'd have it ready by Monday, it was ready by Wednesday. Albeit, it was technically ready by Tuesday afternoon but the cold weather made it so it was better to leave it until the morning. I don't consider this a big deal because 5-7 days for what was a decent paint job is normal and worth it in my opinion, but it should be noted. 3. You have to either pay cash or apply to their chosen credit card. My credit card offers me 2% cash back so not being able to use it cost me $40 in savings. 4. Eduardo said that adding the enamel + UV option (more cash) adds an extra year of warranty to the job. The truth is, the second year of warranty is "prorated" which means they charge you up to 50% of the cost to fix the paint issue. They can hike the repair cost of their faulty paint, then give you a 50% discount and still make a profit. i.e it's not a real 2 year warranty. I played stupid and pretended I didn't notice but to those who might be a bit slower, here's your fair warning about that. The right thing to do is when upselling the cost by adding that feature, you should explain to people what a prorated warranty is. 5. My right mirror looks a tad undone. As though they put it apart and when they put it back together, it was not put back 100%. Will look into it before it rains and the water damages the internal components. Overall, I wouldn't say it was a terrible deal for me. $2000 for a full paint job that came out pretty good, and a decent amount of body work repairs. For now I can say I don't regret going through with this, but I will say that it could have been a much smoother experience with minor tweaks in the management of the business. If the paint goes to shit, I will be back to update the review and how they deal with that.

Let's resume it... stay away from this place! It is the worst auto body shop I have ever seen! Zero…read morequality! They returned my car with all the parts misaligned, paint defects, and the car headlight dirty with paint. I rejected the work, and they tried to fix it; however, in the process, they damaged the passenger-side door with a screwdriver--or something similar--while attempting to align the fender. Two weeks later, the rivets that secured the line fender came off, and the part ended up getting damaged as it began scraping against the tires. The manager blamed the aftermarket part and refused to honor the warranty for the service and parts. When selling the service, they offered me aftermarket parts with the promise that there is no difference between aftermarket and original (OEM) parts. The incredible thing is that the manager E. told me this is the Maaco quality and they can't do better than that.
