As soon as Danny picked up and I spoke to him about my situation, I knew this was the right place to go.

Unfortunately, my experience this time was extremely disappointing. The first time I picked up my car, there were multiple noticeable issues that made it seem like the work was rushed and not properly inspected. The bumper was not clipped on correctly, the car had not been calibrated, and the door was rattling while driving. I brought the car back a second time to address the rattling, only to be told they were sorry because that part had apparently never been completed. Even after bringing it back, the rattling issue still persisted. On top of that, when I went to add windshield washer fluid, I discovered the reservoir was cracked. This makes it clear the undercarriage of the vehicle was never properly inspected, which is concerning because that was one of the main reasons the car was there in the first place. After having the car inspected elsewhere, I also learned the strut was not installed correctly. At this point, I will not be bringing the car back for a third time. I'm less interested in hearing that my feedback is appreciated and more concerned about the lack of quality control. There clearly needs to be a better system in place to ensure vehicles are properly repaired and inspected before being returned to customers. Based on my experience, this shop may be fine for very minor fixes, but I would not trust them with more significant repairs.

Disappointed Despite Great Customer Service - But Second Repair Was Improved…read more I recently brought my car to Tropical Paint and Body Shop after a rear-end collision. The accident wasn't too severe, but the rear bumper, hatch, and a portion of the quarter panel needed to be replaced. The other driver's insurance suggested a few shops, and I chose Tropical based on decent reviews. Right away, I was impressed with Janet at the front desk. She's professional, friendly, and truly goes above and beyond. She kept me informed, explained everything clearly, and made the process smooth. Her customer service is easily five-star. However, when I picked up my car after 21 days in the shop, I was very disappointed. The quality of the repair work was far from acceptable: The rear glass wasn't properly installed. The defroster didn't work. The hatch and panel gaps were noticeably misaligned. The new taillight was poorly installed. Two bumper parts were mismatched in color. There were visible paint runs and imperfections. The bumper paint didn't match the rest of the car at all. I submitted a detailed list of the issues along with photos and even a PowerPoint presentation. Thankfully, the shop agreed to take the car back and correct the work. When I picked up the car the second time, the difference was clear -- the car looked much better. The gaps were aligned, and the overall finish was significantly improved. There were still a couple of minor imperfections, but after having to return the car once already, I didn't feel comfortable taking it back again. In the end, while I appreciate that they made the effort to fix the problems, this shouldn't have happened in the first place -- especially after having the car for three weeks. I hope they improve their quality control, because customer service alone isn't enough to make up for poor initial workmanship.
