Had some sport patches that I needed stitched to a jersey, a polo, and a couple of pullovers. The guys from fanatics suggested A+ Alterations and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. Price was between 10-12 dollars per patch. The stitching was very clean outside and inside each piece of clothing! Will definitely be using them again!

Did a great job of sewing up one of my son's shirts, very reasonably priced. The time quoted was exactly correct when it was ready.

The ladies at A+ Alterations did an EXCELLENT job, and the alteration of this long formal jacket came out beautifully.

Like everything that is quality in Charlotte, Good Food, Et. Al. - You have to wait for things. It was worth the wait at Tina's. They are located in the "Posh" Dilworth Section of Town and they serve a "Well Healed" Clientele; Parking in the Shopping Center can get a bit tight - so just be careful and be calm. Prices are fair - you get what you pay for and all good things come to those who wait; - Tina's stands by their work. I will be returning in the not so distant future to have have some pants hemmed.

Noting complicated or out of the ordinary. It had a v-neck that I felt comfortable and beautiful in. It didn't show off a ton of boob. I told them I was really happy with the neckline and didn't want that changed at all. When they were pinning me, I showed them where I wanted the skirt to go up about an inch. The seamstress said "no. 2 inches". I asked for it to be 1 inch again, but she pinned me for 2. I gave her the benefit of the doubt because she does this professionally but boy should I have listened to myself. When I came in to get my dress, I tried it on and was so upset and stunned silently in a bad way by the fit. The waist was way to high that not only caused me to looks wide and disproportionate but because they shortened the bodice too much, the entire bodice was riding up and not laying flat, the wide straps had a gap between my shoulder and the fabric, and the armpit area was digging into my armpit. It was as if someone had picked me up my my straps and I was dangling off the floor. I asked if they could fix anything about the waist and the arms but was told no because the dress zips perfectly. She said the only way to make the dress lay flat is to bring my breast way up with a push up or tape, something I am very uncomfortable & self-conscious with. My mom was with me & has a lot of experience sewing, grew up around seamstresses. She was kindly advocating for me because I was stunned silent with the fit and the people's attitudes who worked there. Because they shortened the bodice too much, I can never take it down where it needs to lay because of how they sewed it. Technically speaking, they ruined it. I will never come here again and encourage others to go somewhere else.

I brought a pair of dress pants with me on my trip and did not have time to get them shortened…read morebefore I came here. Originally my mom and I looked at another alteration shop, but when we called them, they informed me that they were inundated with requests through January and could not take my request on. The owner suggested Ann's Alterations as they had availability to take on repairs at this time. It's located in the same plaza as Harris Teeter and the All Around the World Cafe. There's not a ton of parking, but if you go during a non-peak time, you can find a spot. The shop has two dressing rooms for trying on the items you need altered or have been altered. Usually the team at the shop wants clients to try on their items and come out to show the tailors what needs to be tailored/fixed. In addition to the pants, I brought a skirt with me for mending. (Another tailor tried to take in the skirt but assembled it together with lumps in the side seams.) The pants were an easy repair as only a couple of inches needed to be removed for shortening. The skirt required the head tailor to come out to see what needed to be fixed. She said the seams would need to come out and she would fix the lining too, which was bunchy and creating some of the bulk in the side seams. The pants were a slight rush job (I say slight as I was asking for them to be turned around a week versus longer.) The skirt was no rush. After a week, the pants were finished and they were perfect. The skirt was finished a week or so later and that was better than ever. The skirt was deconstructed so the side seams were smoother and lined up better to make the pattern look continuous/consistent. Prices weren't expensive - $12 for shortening the pants which was reasonable. They do very good work and it is worth it. I've left a pair of jeans with them for shortening and would use them again if I was in town and needed alterations.

I took my wedding dress to be altered here back in April. My wedding is June 27th of this year. Ann…read moresaid it would be ready June 7th. The day we dropped it off we came up with a full plan and were happy with what was pinned. When we came to the final fitting she had done one thing from the list of alterations to be made. The top was still loose, she did not add a button to the slit, she made three bustle point instead of five. The worst part was that she added yellow pearls to the skirt of the dress for the bustle. When we discussed our concerns she began by saying that we don't understand her work and my dress is too much. If that was the case, we should've been turned down in April. She only gave us half of our money back. We now have three weeks to find someone to finish and correct her work and will likely have to pay a rush fee. All because of her.

They weren't able to split the side seams due to the pockets (or didn't want to) but they did make some very nice pleats in the back and also hemmed the sleeves for me. So a good result! I wear it all the time. But i've also had a few pants hemmed, and have had mixed results there. One pair is still way too long despite their careful measurements. ... and that brings me to another complaint I have. Now, i used to work in NYC by the fashion district, so my standards are a bit high...but they kept my measurements on file so i didn't have to try on a pair of pants every time I needed a hem. I'd bring them the pants, tell them to take 2 inches off the hem, and they would have that done the same day. Anna's insists that you try everything on for them to mark with pins...which is annoying especially when the hem length comes back wrong. Also the turn around is slow but I understand that. So i would suggest that careful communication is key, and inspect everything you get back.

But I recently brought in three dresses and was told there would be a $5 rush fee per dress. When I went to pay, the cost was over $400 for three dresses!!!!!!! My mom had taken a dress a couple of months ago and the cost was around $75 for similar alterations. The worst part is I paid a rush fee and one of the dresses still had pins in it and wasn't even complete. I was charged an additional fee and had to come back to get it. I feel sad that I had such a bad experience with a place I've always trusted.
