What a disappointment. Booked car service to pick up my wife at BWI for a late evening arrival…read more She was traveling alone from the west coast to visit her mother for Mother's Day. I felt safer using a dedicated car service since the better services offer to meet clients inside the airport at baggage claim. The service offered the driver to meet at the baggage claim which I selected during the booking. The driver never showed up inside (deduct one star) which created unnecessary stress for the both of us. Attempts to contact the dispatch resulted in a voice recording with a full mailbox (deduct another star). Other services typically send an email the day of transport with driver contact information. Discreet Limos did not (deduct another star). My frustrated wife went out to meet the Uber she hailed since she assumed the service was a no show, and the Discreet Limo driver was outside and through chance asked my wife if she was waiting for a car. In the end, she got the ride after cancelling the Uber thoroughly by chance. The driver claims to have texted my wife which she did not receive and he never followed up with a phone call / voice message which could have avoided the mix up. The driver also claims that he was never instructed to meet inside BWI by the baggage claim. I chose this service based on prior reviews but the service my wife got was a classic over promise under deliver.

Since I wasn't entirely sure of her schedule, I wasn't able to book until the day before we needed the driver so I was very happy that Culdesac was able to accommodate. From my initial phone inquiry until our drop off, every interaction with the business was professional. During my first phone call, I was able to book a driver for 5 hours to take us to a winery in Virginia. The winery is located over an hour away, so it was nice to be able to relax and not worry about driving. Everything was pretty seamless. Our driver (Rachid) was so professional and even arrived a few minutes early. He was a safe driver, kind and accommodating despite the non-stop storytelling and giggling between me, my sister and a childhood friend throughout the entire ride. Their pricing was upfront and pretty in line with quotes that I received from other businesses as well (and pricing was pretty transparent which I appreciate!) Culdesac not only contacted me the same day, but they were the only ones who provided me with any form of communication, and I've yet to hear back from the other 2 companies. That alone catapulted Culdesac to 5 star status in my book! I had 11 people in my group and was suggested a 14 passenger Mercedes Sprint Van, picking up from IAD to downtown Washington for $275, which included tax and gratuity. I believe I spoke to Sammy, who was very helpful and friendly. Fast forward to February... The day before our trip, Sammy called me to reconfirm, and sent me our driver's name and number. A hiccup happened to our trip, and I sent Derek a text to come to the airport earlier than we agreed upon. Culdesac called to verify we needed an earlier pickup, Derek kept me in the loop of his transit time, and he came to the spot we told him we were at. Super professional! We decided to use Culdesac to take us back to the airport. Again the day before, I got a call and email reconfirming my pickup at 1:30 pm. We were told that Derek was going to take us back, but unfortunately a hiccup occured where his appointment was going to run over, so Derek texted me that someone else will pick us up, and not to worry. A few minutes after the text, Culdesac called me to say Derek was being replaced by Sam, and they texted me his number. Sam arrived at 1:15 in a 20 passenger van, just as nice as the Mercedes Sprinter, and even newer! It was also handicapped accessible, which was a good thing to remember if someone was disabled. He was just as courteous and got us to the airport safely and quickly. I honestly believe this company deserves 5 stars. They were professional, easy to get a hold of via email and phone, and communicated with me from start to finish. They charged my card after the service was completed, and the tip and tax was included in the fee. I would gladly use them again if I am back in the DC area.

David was great at giving us options for different cars for our trip from airport to our hotel. During our pick up at airport our driver was waiting for us with a sign at baggage claim. We didn't have to go all around the airport looking for him. We got a great limo for our ride to downtown. It had nice cold bottles of water waiting for us. I asked the driver where the limo was and he said the AC was broken. I asked if there was another vehicle that could take us and he said no. My parents struggled to get in the bus and did not ride with in the bus on the way back from the church. I was not notified of the vehicle change nor did anyone call to apologize. The driver was very polite but knew that we were very unhappy. I called the manager the next day and he said he would look into it. They issued a small credit but did not apologize. Bill Milleker (VIP acc mgr) sent an email that contained the pricing for the Limo bus, Executive bus and a Shuttle bus. We agreed on the most expensive one - Limo bus. A day before the event we received a confirmation text. The day of the event (Saturday) the driver showed up with the Executive bus, not the one we ordered or put a payment on. He said the A/C was broken on the one we wanted. On Monday I talked to Bill and asked him about the bait and switch. He said the A/C was broken. I told him we did not receive a call giving us an opportunity to change our choice of bus. He said that was an error on their part, apologized. and said a call should have taken place. I told him I did not get the experience I wanted, the Limo bus I was told I would get, and I was upset. He said the A/C was broken and I told him that's not my problem - it was theirs. He said that we used the Executive bus for an extra 3 hours and he would not charge us for the 3 hours to make up for the wrong bus and no call. I asked him if he though I was an idiot. I used his email on the pricing and explained that he was trying to get me to pay more for the Executive bus (that he sent) than it would have cost if I had ordered it and used it for the extra 3 hours. My original payment for the Limo bus was more than the total would be for the executive bus plus 3 extra hours. At this point his whole demeanor changed and asked what I wanted to make it right. Think about that for a minute. He was trying to make more money on me after they sent me the wrong bus. Is that their business plan? It makes me wonder if the A/C was broken after all. Is this their way of double-booking limos then overcharging customers for the switched Limo bus? I invite anyone who has had this happen to them to post your remarks. This will call them out for dishonest practices and warn future customers. And used car salesmen have a bad rap.
