I did total 3 times grooming here. First time was good which make me come back for the second time and my dog got back with small cut on his private area then I still come back for the 3rd time thought it was ok to have that small accident not easy to do a haircut for a dog and also didn't forget to remind them to take extra caution this time BUT he back with even worse result. He got red mark on his belly. Don't know what cause that. It looks like a bruise. I don't really like to write bad review but since I care about other dog safety I have to say I'm so upset with my last visit here. read more

We've been taking our Bichpoo (Bichon/Poodle) to A Pet Parlor for almost 2 years now. It all started with a recommendation from my sister-in-law who also brings in her Pomeranian for regular grooming. This local owned shop is in an hidden strip mall a few blocks away from Highway 99 in Lynwood. The list of available services are nail clipping, flee and tick treatment, hand scissoring, etc. We always opt for the complete grooming package which is about $50. That includes nail clipping, haircut, bath, and glands expression. Saturdays and Sundays can become busy. I recommend calling in to check for availability. Their doors open at 7AM and closes at 4PM. From past experience it takes about 2.5-3 hours for a full grooming depending on how busy they are. We've called in for appointments however drop-ins are also welcome. I like how they always tie a mini bandana on the pets once they've completed the service. Customer service is top notch and they do get to know each one of their customers. read more

I had been going to pet parlor for over two years for my two dogs. My black lab for nail cuts and my Maltese to get groomed. They were always so friendly and even addressed them by name and always did exactly what I asked. The last time I went the new worker muzzled my black lab who is 15 years old, he can't even bark anymore and limps which is beyond unacceptable since they never have done that before and he is not an aggressive dog. I have a lab who used to need 2 people to cut her nails, just to keep her from being anxious. Since bringing Byrdie here, she has done so well with getting her nails cut, that one person is able to complete it now. They started filing them and another person had to help but she will get used to that too. Julian has also taken care of my little Rhylie too. She screams like a banshee ‍ and at 30 lbs she needs two people to handle her. She's has gotten better as well since coming here. Still needs two people but she doesn't whine/cry as loud as in the beginning. For a quick nail trim/file they accept walk-ins majority of the time and we are in/out under 20mins or less. read more

This place used to have good groomers and a decent reputation. My parents and I have been taking our Shih Tzu Bella here for several years and they'd always done a good job but within the past 6-12 months they must have new owners or employees as the quality of her grooming has gotten so bad that we won't ever be back. My mother took Bella in about 2 months ago and asked them to groom her as they normally do, yet this time they cut her fur so low that you could see her skin. We've never asked them to cut so much fur off of her before, not even during the hottest time of the year in the summer. It's especially frustrating because it was during the wintertime when it's cold and she had no fur to stay warm. They also for some reason cut her eyelashes completely off, which they've never done before and must've poked her in the eye because she came back with her eye completely swollen and puffy. On top of that, the next morning her eye looked infected as it was still swollen and had goo caked all around it. So we had to take her to the vet and spend over $150 for her appointment and eye drops. My mother called the Pet Parlor, told them about the incident and told them she wanted them to pay for her vet bill. They told us that the owner was in the hospital and then sent us a letter a couple weeks later saying that Bella came in looking like that and basically they could've cared less. As stated before, the quality of grooming has gone down considerably and have seen the other reviews about people's dogs or pets getting cut or nicked when they're getting groomed. To me this is completely unacceptable and don't know how they can still be in business. On top of that, they tell you to bring your dog in at say 10am and then they wait there for hours before they actually get around to grooming your pet. Then they seem to cut corners and give your dog a half ass grooming to get through as many dogs as possible in a day, so as to make as much money as possible. There have been times where Bella has been there for 5-6 hours and when she gets home she is exhausted. They should have appointments and have you bring your dog or pet in at a certain time so they aren't sitting around all day. That's not fair to the animals and they're just taking advantage of their customers. I would never take Bella back to the Pet Parlor and wouldn't advise anyone else to that actually cares about their pet. There's plenty of other groomers in the area, the Pet Parlor clearly doesn't care about their customers, furry or human. Seeing some of the other pictures of dogs that they've cut is disgusting, I'm not sure how this place is still in business. read more

I wish we lived closer! We were in Lynnwood for 2 days while our cat was undergoing some treatment, so I thought this was a great opportunity to get our dogs groomed. I've been totally laid up after some foot surgery, and unable to groom our two Sussex Spaniels...they looked ragged. Well they look stunning now, what a beautiful grooming job! And the price was very reasonable. Honestly, I wish I lived closer, but we're in Point Roberts, so it would take 4 border crossing to get there and back. Took my dog here for the first time. I knew his stomach was matted so they said they MAY need to shave his belly if they can't get the mats out but everything else was fine. I said that was fine and told them everything else I wanted (shape up his body.) 5 hours later they called me saying he was ready. Got there and when they brought him out his body was completely shaved. He has absolutely no hair on the inside his legs and will not stop licking at it. Shaving that close was unnecessary. Also a young guy working there yelled at a dog to shut up that was barking in its cage while I was standing there. Multiple people work on your dog so they just get passed around for each stage of grooming. My pup was so ready to leave when I got there which was never the case at his old groomers. While they're pretty terse on the phone and don't return emails, they always treated my dog well; at least to my knowledge. They told me they had just scratched her, the next day I check her leg-- IT WAS NOT A SCRATCH. This is the second time she has gotten hurt here. All of their haircuts look the same, I am untrained, but honestly I could do better, I would be more careful, and I wouldn't charge $55 to shave your dog. Two months ago I took my Shih Tzu to a Pet Parlor. His cut looked great and I love that you can call day of and drop your pup off, but I was truly uncomfortable with the fact that my dog sat in a crate for hours before he was attended to. I dropped him off this morning at 9:15am. They told me he would be finished at 1:30pm. Again, it saddened me to leave him there for so long knowing he would be sitting in a crate, or even worse wandering around their shop where they don't clean up the dog hair until what looks like the end of the day. When I came in today several dogs were just roaming around with other dogs clumps of hair all over them. I showed up at 1:40pm to pick him up....he hadn't even been cut yet, only bathed. This broke my heart thinking I could have spent the whole day with my dog as opposed to him being crated in a strange place all day. I was so upset, I asked that they please just give me my dog. They informed me it would he would be done in 45 minutes. I said "no thank you" and informed them that I would not be returning to their establishment. Knowing that I can make an appointment at Canine Groomers and my dog will be done in less than an hour offers me a great sense of relief. It may cost a little bit more, but it is worth all the money in the world to know my little guy isn't cooped up all day. read more

If I could leave no stars I would!!! Let me start by saying that this experience has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I will no longer be taking my dog to a groomer period because I'm afraid of what will happen next. I have a Male Samoyed and if you know the breed you know that you should no be cutting their hair ESPECIALLY when the owner spends 5 minutes explaining that you don't want any part of your dogs hair cut other than his paw pads. They assured me they would leave him all natural and just do a basic bath and brush ( I brush my dog almost daily so I am very aware of what his coat looks like and SHOULD look like after a groom). However he was exactly opposite of what I asked. You could tell his entire body had been trimmed, his giant fluffy tail was half the size it was and his feet and legs were shaped. I am absolutely horrified at the job that was done to my dog. You don't go to get your hair washed and come out with a haircut that you didn't ask for. When you drop a dog off you are trusting other people to take care of them because our dogs can't speak up for themselves... I will NEVER EVER go back here and I suggest you don't either! Worst $80 I have ever spent in my life, I still get sad looking at the horrible cut that was given to my dog. read more

We found this horrible cut on the inside of his leg 2 days after his grooming appointment. My 11 yr old son cried when he saw it; I felt like crying too!No one told us they cut our dog. The owner is a very nice man and they do good work, but I really can't go back. Over the past year the business practices have gone down hill. You call for an appointment and they tell you to bring your dog in. What they don't tell you is everyone else is bringing their dogs, so depending on how many people show up will directly contribute to how long your dog stays there (Normally 1-2 hours, but sometimes 6-7 hours). Twice they forgot to call me when my dog was ready or forgot to to get to him and he sat for hours (how do you forget about an 88lbs dog when on his card it says "LOUD IN AND OUT"?). I am sorry, but 4-5 hours is too long when you call and make an appointment. The whole idea behind appointment are to have a time slot reserved for just my dog. I drop my dog off and basically wait for the to call to pick him up from a place he does not really want to be. My life is on hold because they don't honor appointments. Three times they forgot to take the cotton out of his ears. In the first two, I didn't catch it for almost 5 days!! I learned my lesson and checked the last time before I walked out. Like I said, the people are nice and do a decent job, but I am tired of the waits and a few careless acts. read more

First of, I hate giving bad reviews. But they hurt my pup! I used to love this place, my yorkie who is now 3 was brought here for his first grooming. At first, they were absolutely perfect! But then the service got meh (they once kept my dog for 5 hours before they got to work on him) so i switched groomers. Recently I took him in again, after almost 18 months of not being here. The first time everything went fine. Last Saturday I decided to take him in for the last groom before summer was over. Everything seemed ok, and I got him back in a timely manner. Later that day, as I was petting his tummy I noticed a red bump that looked like a big bug bite. No bug bite! THEY CUT A PIECE OF SKIN OFF!!! And it was not a tiny cut! There is a chunk of skin missing from his private tummy area!!!!!!! Whats worse? They didn't even bother to tell me so I could at least watch for an infection! Or apologize when I picked him up! I understand things happen, maybe he squirmed when he was getting trimmed. But at least apologize!!! This is my baby! He is very well behaved, he gets groomed every 6 weeks and I have NEVER had an issued with any groomer! They will be getting a very angry call from me!!!! NEVER AGAIN!! The customer service was OK but I agree with past posts when they say it takes a LONG time for the hair cut. I dropped him off and they called me 6 hours later. And the worst part? He had an allergic reaction to the type of shampoo they used. He was so itchy and got red spots all over his entire body. He was absolutely MISERABLE. Busy, busy, busy!!! Regardless of this, they were able to take Oliver last-minute for a Saturday appt. A brusque woman took my information and indicated that they would take "good care" of my dog. They said that due to the number of dogs in the shop that day, it could be up to 5 hours, but they would let me know via phone when he was ready. The man who took my dog was much sweeter; he talked to Oliver and lured him in with cookies. 5 hours later, I received a call that Oliver was ready. We trekked back up to Edmonds to pick him up and when we arrived, we found a very handsome, clean and sleek boy! Very pleased with their work. There was no indication that he was hurt in any way and they commented that when they had placed him in the kennel, he didn't like it, so they allowed him to roam about the shop and he was fine. The price was very good, compared to others that I have experienced. Kind of love them. read more

My dog, Dougie the Jack Ruseell, is pretty good with other dogs and loves people. He was a little nervous when he first went in. My mom's dog on the other hand, Tyson the Malchi, is very timid and usually takes a while to warm up. He often will bark and snap. As soon as Tyson met the lady who works there, within a minute he let her pick him up and even gave her a kiss! I was shocked! The staff was very warm and welcoming and explained what services they would be doing. I could tell that they all loved working there. When we picked up the dogs they were in good spirits and looked adorable. She gave me an update on how they handled it. To my delight Tyson did very well and liked getting groomed! She also owns a Jack Russell and was willing to answer a few questions that had nothing to do with the services and grooming. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate about pets. My yorkies are 6 and 7 yrs old and with their long hair, we've been to many groomers. Pet Parlor is the best groomers I have been to. The entire team is extremely welcoming and nice. The staff invest their time to ensure they do a great quality job. On Saturdays they have flexible hours and take walk-ins till 2:30pm. Their prices are reasonable for all the work they do. I expected a basic wash and trim of the sanitary areas but on top of what I expected, they also gave my two yorkies a full body haircut trim, ear hair removal, anal glands, nail cutting, tipping of ears, hair styling and they used pleasant fruity smelling shampoo. Great with the dogs. They know our names when we come and pick them both up. We've been coming here now for a few years and we've never had a problem with the dogs wanting to go inside. Which; to me, is a statement beyond words. Try them out. You'll like them. But, more important, your pooch will !! Plan on 2 pups being there about 2 hours on a Sunday morning. They are pretty quick. But, they hand blow dry the dogs. Even our large ones. They do NOT get put into a crate and a hot dryer placed in front of their faces!!
