We were greeted right away and our drinks were made in just a few minutes. They have a clearly posted menu, but you do have to ask what syrups/flavors they offer. I did not see any special or seasonal drinks. I ordered an iced lavender latte with skim milk. The coffee they use is very mild tasting. I did appreciate that they had lavender, but I wanted a little more oomph to my drink that I just don't think they can get with the beans they are using. They no longer have the small lunch menu I remember, it's just baked goods now (croissants, banana bread, danish, muffins, etc.). I ordered a peanut butter bar and a decaf latte with almond milk and hazelnut. I believe the decaf option was their mushroom-based alternative. Compared to other shops I've tried recently where every coffee has been smooth and free of bitterness, this one stood out for having a noticeably bitter taste. I'm not sure how that's possible in a decaf/mushroom drink, but it wasn't nearly as enjoyable as the others I've had. That said, I still appreciate Echo's community spirit. They currently have a sign up offering free coffee with a case of water (August 2025) and support the Arizona Humane Society, which is wonderful to see. Inside, the vibe is still relaxed and conducive to working or studying. While the coffee wasn't my personal favorite this time, Echo remains a nice, mellow spot for those who enjoy supporting local businesses.

They had a standard menu with a small bakery and food section. They saw my friend's little dog and gave her a treat They asked me what my name was for the order and I said "J-O-D-I, four letters, like Leah" (the dog), and they wrote both our names on the cup! The space is very small, so don't plan on coming here to crank out some work for a few hours, this is very much a stop for a minute, not stop for a while kind of place. While on the food tour we got a little bit of background on the founders of the establishment and their local success along with a wonderful Brown Sugar Cold Brew. I am a bit of a weakling when it comes to coffee so I needed an extra splash of cream but then I was good to go! Staff on both visits were very friendly and welcoming, too. Would definitely recommend popping into Yellow Spruce if you're in the area.

My friend got a Chocolate Chunk cookie and she said it was good. I took a small piece to taste and she's right. It wasn't bad. I just don't like nuts in my cookies, so it wasn't the best tasting for me. It was good, though. This bakery does not have any seating, so be prepared to buy what you want and enJOY your goodies elsewhere. I'll have to return another day and hope they have more to offer.
