Two words: ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! My friend and I in our extensive research for eateries while on our Europe trip found A Noste in one of those lists that state "best places." I'm SO GLAD that we ended up coming here! We were on a tight schedule in Paris on the day we had anticipated eating here. It was cold, we walked far from the station using Google Maps, we were like "where the heck are we?" BUT IT WAS WORTH IT ALL! Coming from Hawaii, we don't have many options to experience true tapas. Now, I don't know if that's what this is, but it has definitely opened the door for me and now I want to try tapas everywhere. My recommendation is to go with multiple people so you can try various dishes! Our party just kept ordering more and more until we practically rolled out of the joint. Highly recommend.

This was a nice spontaneous spot to have our lunch. We didn't realize that we'd come across a nice French tapas bar with probably higher end options than we'd expected. The watermelon feta salad was pretty decent. The foie gras falafel was really tasty. It's a little difficult to eat because the ball falls apart with a fork poke, but very delicious, you can taste the creamy bits of foie gras in there. The salmon plate was also really tasty with the cole slaw. Very nice atmosphere, quality food.

Morel and marrow risotto in bones! So tasty! The other food, good, but not what was expected.

I really like the concept of this restaurant, and I did have a most wonderful risotto, but there were a couple things that made it 3 stars and not higher. The atmosphere is great with a fun decor. The clientele is not American despite the great write-up in Eater. Service was good but overworked for a full restaurant so you don't get the attention you might need. The part that made the dining experience difficult was that the menu said the ingredients in the product, but didn't fully capture what the items were. For example, we thought crispy polenta would have been seared polenta cakes and not deep fried polenta. Another example is a white asparagus and potato "tortilla" which ended up being a kind of minimal egg frittata type thing. Had the menu better explained the dishes, I think this could've been a 5 star dinner. Unfortunately, it wasn't.

BBQ chicken - interesting presentation but very small portion.

I came here for lunch with my sister based on the review on Google and Yelp, but I regret to say that we were both a bit disappointed. My sister The decoration and ambiance is interesting and different from the usual French bistro or restaurant, which is somehow refreshing. The service itself is average, in terms of speed, friendliness and attentiveness, nothing particular to complain. What was disappointing was the dish, we were here for a quick lunch, we ordered BBQ chicken and scallop, the presentation of the dish is interesting, but the portion is tiny....which would have been fine is the taste was exceptional, but it wasn't the case. The scallop was tiny and cooked too dry...even a bit burned, the chicken didn't have much taste to it without the BBQ dipping source. I'd come here for atmosphere but not for food.

This is this kind of place that has somewhat good reviews, a good location and is nicely decorated BUT lacks of warmness. I plan to come for a long time to have dinner and enjoy this place and ended up being seated at the bar (the restaurant wasn't full at all) at the far end of the room and close to the guy that does the dishes (with the noise and all). I felt like I have been secluded or punished for no reason. From this perspective, I couldn't enjoy the place. (Why didn't they even ask if it was fine with me?? No basic wait staff skills) The lady at the bar didn't explained the menu and were not so enthusiastic to give me some additional information about the dishes. This is when I wanted to stand up and leave. But then I thought to myself maybe the food is totally worth it so let's stay longer in this painful situation. Didn't know what to order so i took the tortilla (10€) thinking it was a safe bet, but it was bland and topped with a swirl of a supermarket's salad dressing sauce. It was a game over for me. I have tried tons of tapas places and this is not a memorable one. The tapas's size and cost are over estimated and don't allow to order more than 1 or 2. (Concept of tapas is small plates to share not full plates) The prices are quite high for what it is. Anyway, I won't have to try it again because once was enough.

Roasted chicken with tarragon and potatoes for the meat dish

This review is for La Table, the course service dinner. We came here having no idea what to expect as it was a recommendation from the hotel and it completely blew us away. The service was outstanding and they were very accommodating to the fact that we couldn't speak French. A local gastronomical show was filming while we were there and while it wasn't disruptive or a problem at all, they offered us free glasses of wine as well as a taste of what the people on the show were eating. Our 5 course meal was delicious and you could tell how passionate the chef is about this restaurant and his craft through each dish. Would definitely return and highly recommend!

A.noste... I could I just say go don't think try you won't be disappointed because honestly, this is the case! No disappointed , the reviews are already saying it all! It's a really good tapas bar and for sure I will go again!!!! The tapas are a really good size to share and really original. We had prawns salmon tomatoes and 2 more tapas and the dessert! OMG! Passion fruit creme brûlée and the vanilla Chou with salted caramel no words! We were two had a glass of wine and paid 33 euros each! Honestly good quality and quantity food for the price And I have said it already but have to say it again: I would definitely go back!!!

It was super packed on a Saturday night at 10PM but I managed to get a seat at La Table (upstairs).

Had a delicious experience here!…read more Was needing a low commitment night to eat and ventured over here. The menu was very simple and very traditional to country French cuisine. Loved the offerings and I ordered the most popular dish. Covered in cheese and a gravy - very tasty. The sangria was phenomenal and just so cheap to what we have here in America. Would love to come back here!

He also taught my husband and I the proper way to eat foie gras. We also got the escargot It did take a little while for the snails to cool down They were molten lava and they got to the table. Though the garlic and parsley went deliciously with the snails. The duck confit was incredible. The duck literally fell right off the bone. We did order a side of cheesy potatoes but the duck already came with potatoes so I probably wouldn't do that again. A gentleman next to us and it have ordering dessert and we were very intrigued by it. He had mentioned that this dessert was something he grew up with in Paris, and that he would dare to say Les Fabricants made it better than his mother did. After that raving review we had to try the ile flottante (floating island) It was incredible. The meringue on top of the custard went together so nicely with the caramel sauce. I would come back here for that dessert alone everything else being amazing too was just icing on the cake. The restaurant itself is more of a hole in the wall kind of feel. I wouldn't say it's upscale but it feels kind of like a homely place. Where you get good food at great prices. Make sure you bring cash because it's a cash only establishment. Otherwise I would highly recommend checking this place out and missing some of the more touristy areas.

When the waiter noticed our confusion asked if we wanted the menu in English. We agreed so menus were changed. We ordered the cote de boeuf (steak) for two and I had an order of escargots (snails). The snails were cooked in butter and garlic sauce. They were tender and garlicky. I used the bread to soak up the sauce. The steak for two was huge! It also came with a salad and potatoes. For 54 euros it was a bargain. It was not the most tender cut of meat and some parts really gave your mouth a workout but there was a lot of food and it was filling.

I happened across this place near my hotel and noticed a large salad being served in a silver bowl and decided to give it a try. When we got there it was about 9 pm on a Monday but the place was still packed. There was only one guy serving/cleaning the tables, and one female blonde bartender helping to serve as well. We were seated quickly (by European standards) and ordered the salads. My other half had one with prosciutto, fried egg and cancel cheese, while I went for the pork belly. Both salads were very savoury, and not a typical North American salad. In addition to the toppings, there was no croutons but in lieu of this there was fried potato medallions. Overall very tasty and recommended. On top of this, both the server and bartender were kind enough to apologize for the wait (first time in Paris!!) And the bartender was nice enough to give us two beers on the house (St Omer) - Very tasty bonus!

It's a bit off the beaten path from the touristy spots in Montmarte. We sat up at the bar to watch the chef cook. We ordered the 45Euro tasting menu and every course was an unexpected surprise and really delicious! At first we were not really looking forward to the tapas part of the menu but it was really just small plates which is fine when you're eating such rich dishes. The foie gras, cod with cockles, beef filet were our favs. The wait staff was great and the chef really slay us with not just two dessert courses but three. I got to have my Amelie moment when cracking the creme brûlée! We left so stuffed and happily down the hill. Definitely going coming back here when were in town, I can't recommend it more!

High points were the cod, filet of beef, asparagus, foie gras with beans, and chocolate croquettes which needed a bit more ice cream to finish. A nice pinot noir melded with the clean flavors - especially nice after a week of eating rich classic French food. Three people do it all - two cooks and one waitress - but all three also seat guests, do dishes, take payment, serve food. A commune of sharing tasks. And all the cooking is done behind the bar. To me it seemed to be a Japanese sushi bar with Spanish tapas flavors with French attention to quality and detail. Highly recommended!
