Came home from work to a very chilly house and finding my furnace quit on me. I called just about every heating and cooling company I could think off, most of them either rude, hung up on me, available a week out, not returning my calls and so on. But then I got lucky with New Phase, he returned my call and was able to squeeze me in the following day. Communication skills A+++, he let me know when he was running a few minutes late, kept me updated throughout the process. When he was on the way, when he would be there, what to expect along the way, instant written estimates and receipts. Great. I dealt with Justin and he is one of the most polite and accommodating individuals I have ever met, I didn't know this level of courtesy and respect still existed. During his first visit, he explained to me exactly what he was looking at, how to read the codes of the furnace (which will save me grief and $$$ in the future), tried to fix wat the codes indicated. When that didn't work, he investigated further, found and showed me a crack in the heating element (bad news) and so I needed a replacement. I told him my upstairs was not heating or cooling as well as my ground floor and so he checked my duct work in the crawl space for me and it checked out fine. Suggested a more powerful blower for the new furnace since that would not add to the cost. Since my air-conditioner was 29 years old, I decided we might as well replace that too while we are at it to save a little on the cost. Yes, I checked the BBB, Yelp reviews and any other reviews I could find. I double and triple checked with friends and professionals in regards to the costs, but was told by every single person that the price was extremely reasonable and I should definitely go with this company. And so I did. Again, great communication throughout, and we found a day and time that would work for both of us. It took a little longer to install than anticipated, but that is because I have a very old house and difficulties generally pop up. But Justin took it in stride even so he had to alter some parts and custom built some and in the end I had a beautifully working furnace. He cleaned up after the job and I think my house was cleaner than when he started. Not only do I now have a wonderfully warm furnace, a huge air-conditioner and a programmable thermostat, but I also have a one year warranty on labor and 10-year manufacturer warranties which Justin already registered for me. Unfortunately our story is the same as the other recent reviews. Justin seemed like a great guy, so we decided to go with him for an install of a new furnace and AC unit back in December 2022. Since then, we have run into issue after issue, all due to mistakes that were made during the original install. Each time we have reached out to Justin for help, but he continuously ghosts us and will not show up to make things right. Beware - he will only honor the 1 year labor warranty if you are willing to wait weeks before you can finally get him onsite. We have a 7mo baby and her bedroom was up to 84 degrees last night. Still waiting on a response from Justin although it's almost been a week with constant outreach from us! I've never experience such poor communication from a business owner - it's absurd. Unfortunately, this will be the third time that we're having to pay an outside company to fix our brand new AC unit. He seemed accomidating and reasonable but then rescheduled three times and blamed it on me. He is no longer returning my calls/texts. UPDATE 3/30/24 Justin Hunt isn't the same guy as he was over a year ago. He used to do really solid work -- but either he has relapsed or something has happened, and now it seems like most of his services are a scam. He reads texts and never replies, sends erratic messages. And as of now, I'm out about $500 for duct cleaning that never has happened. You'll lose days and days waiting for him to show up. Please look elsewhere! --------- I've had Justin now do both a replacement on my hot water heater and my furnace/AC and there's truly nobody that I would recommend more. I originally reached out to a company called A**tron that not only didn't take apart my HVAC unit, they diagnosed I needed a whole new system based solely on the sound. It all seemed fishy, especially when they quoted me $15k to replace everything Justin saved my tail. He came in, actually took apart my HVAC system, inspected it thoroughly and gave me a fair price for the actual solution! His price was competitive and he had all of my new equipment installed in less than 2 days after quoting me. He even cleaned up after installation. Very disappointing experience with this company. We had Justin and his brother, Bobby, install a new HVAC system in February. There were many issues all around but I'll just talk about the most recent one and why we have to hire another company to fix their mistakes. Our AC unit, which this company installed, is not running. It is correctly 73 degrees in our house with the thermostat set to 69 (see picture). It's not working. Bobby was here last week to fix the AC unit because it would not turn off, even with the furnace on. Well he managed to stop it from running while the heat was on, appeared like it was fixed. Justin then followed up and asked how everything was. My husband told him, so far so good but I'll let you know when it gets warm enough outside to turn it on. Well, it got warm enough outside to turn it on. It didn't turn on. No cold air. My husband contacted Justin and he assured us he would be out to our house no later the Saturday morning to fix it. Well, Saturday 5/6 came around, no Justin. We arranged to have someone at the house all morning and he never showed. Finally, Justin texted my husband and said he slept in. By then, it was too late. My husband already contacted another company to come out this Monday. Justin then told us he would come out Saturday afternoon. Guess what? No Justin. Very unprofessional experience. We now have to spend money to hire another company to fix their install. We will give Justin to opportunity to pay the repair bill from this other company, since he won't honor his own labor warranty. If he does not pay, then we will have to take him to court. FRAUD AND DECEIT (heading to court) - I am an Air Force veteran and I gave this young man a shot. It's been an absolute nightmare with this company since FEBRUARY, when this company installed a new AC unit and furnace for me. I went with Justin after he begged me for my business. He told me about his family and how he loves to meet people. I figured, why not give him my business, seems like an honest guy. Major mistake. It's been one problem after another. Lies upon lies. So many issues. Bad install. Gaps in furnace. Wiring issues. Latest was furnace leaks (since repaired). Now an AC unit that hasn't worked properly since it's been installed. It's either not been turning on at all or not turning off (had to pull breaker to stop it). The last visit, a few days ago, I was told it was fixed. Now, its in the 70s. Thought I'd turn on the AC unit to see how it was running. No luck. Did not run. Frustrated, I reached out to Justin and his brother (last technician to work on it) to notify them, it was not working properly. Justin told me he'd be out today, Saturday, no later than 11am to fix it. Never showed. Since then, I've been ghosted. No call backs. Not responding to my texts. Justin has done this several times to me. He says he's coming out or on his way and he never shows. He's spent entire days telling me he's on his way, "I'll be there in 30 minutes" and never shows. Horrible...my home warranty sent me to them, they came mod April to assess, and said would be back to fix. Instead what did happen is they told the home warranty company they fixed the issue. Had to call back to reopen ticket and have been calling and texting to have someone come back, their reply is we are short staffed and ACs are priority. Ok I get that, so finally someone calls me in July sets up an appt and guess what no one ever shows and they tell the home warranty company they can't get a hold of me....So now we are in August and I am still waiting. It's very challenging finding good contractors that are reputable, reasonable priced and value building a win-win relationship with clients. He told me their fee (very reasonable) and said they could come today. The technician, David, was here when promised. He was very knowledgeable and outgoing, and explained what he was looking for along the way. He diagnosed the problem quickly, explained the cost, and replaced the bad part. This company was recommended by our home warranty to provide repairs for our AC. Upon arrival the owner, Ajay, was probably the friendliest person I've ever met. We've had our HVAC serviced by other places and they are never nice or honest. Always telling us we need to replace ASAP. But as everyone knows a home warranty says "fix that sucker until you can't". His company has a price match guarantee but I didn't need it because his bid came in almost $1000 cheaper! He was able to do the install on a day convenient for me. He did removal of the old equipment, swept out all the dirty & old storage areas, put in the new equipment, swept up again, answered all my questions, showed me how to operate the equipment, and provided a paid electronic receipt. Extremely polite and friendly! He also provided great communication through texting about time arrivals or any changes in our arrangements.
