Absolutely love this place. It's a mix between a health food store and a restaurant. Sitting on the booth next to the old school windows with the air plants hanging from them was such a nice way to eat. You can take your time looking at the menu, since you can order at the counter. The girl that took my order was quick and super friendly. The food can be pricey but the portions were HUGE. I got the macro bowl with soba noodles and the mediterranean sampler to share with my husband. The tofu was crispy yet still soft and the bowl had a ton of veggies. Also, the hummus on the sampler was AMAZING. The fountain drinks were from Maine Root and we had fun trying all of the flavors, the diet mexican cola was really good. After our meal, we walked around the store and got some loose leaf tea. They also have samplers for lotions and stuff. Really became a fan of this place and plan to come back often! read more

I came here with pretty high expectations, so I wasn't floored. A lot on their menu sounds appealing...not super heavy, and on the healthier side. I had the salmon sandwich which came with avocado and chipotle mayo on ciabatta. It was also served with blue corn chips, which I'm a fan of. The sandwich was good...the salmon cooked well, not dried out. They weren't stingy with the avocado. It's the sort of food that is done well...but a salmon sandwich can only be *so* exciting, given what it is. I would recommend checking them out and supporting them. I ordered the spinach and mushroom quesadilla with chicken added. Also, tried the cranberry chicken salad sandwich. About ten bucks for each listed entree. Definitely not a bang for the buck. The bread for the sandwich was stale. The quesadilla didn't taste anything like a quesadilla, but more like a street taco. There was hardly any cheese between the tortilla. The black beans and Spanish rice was so tasteless and dry. I only give three stars because this place is healthy to eat from, but who says it can't be both healthy and taste good? read more

Came here referred by a friend when i told her i needed to find a place that sells loose herbs. Low and behold, this place has an amazing selection of grounded herbs and loose herbs to be used for all your "natural" healthcare needs. The clerk was extremely helpful and walked me through how to bag my herbs. The process is super clean, no cross contamination allowed with spoons and scoopers. They have moved to a 2 oz minimum which can be expensive depending on what you are getting. But thats expected because in the grand scheme of things, you are using these herbs to heal your body! AND they are not all easily sourced so it makes sense! They have tons of other things in there, supplements and even a small cafe that sells food. Not really in need of those services so this is strictly a review for the herbs. Im glad i found this place to pair herbs with my essential oil health regiments! read more

Great store and wonderful cafe. I stopped by for the first time today during my lunchbreak. I wish I had known about A Moveable Feast sooner! The store is well stocked and I could've easily spent over an hour browsing all the interesting products, but I really came for lunch. I ordered the veggie pita wrap to go. You really get a lot of food for the price, it was about $16 for the meal. I was given a large side salad with my choice of dressing, a cup of soup (I picked the red curry vegetable), plus a large pita wrap stuffed with delicious balsamic-flavored sauteed vegetables and mushrooms. As someone who sometimes struggles with digestive issues, I am so so happy with the quantity of fresh vegetables in this meal. Lots of good fiber to keep my tummy happy. Also, I was full after eating just the pita wrap. I can take my soup and salad home for dinner tonight. I will absolutely come back to A Moveable Feast again, not only for the delicious cafe, but I want to buy some of the good quality meats they had in the freezer. The salmon was cooked perfectly and had a tasty aoli sauce (I usually don't eat mayo). The veggie patty place was also very good. The veggies had a nice soy flavor and the pesto rice was pretty good. Literally stumbled across this place as I was walking towards the Lupe Tortilla across the street with all intentions of gorging myself with everything deliciously bad for me. With a little bit of will power and the sight of their baked goods luring me in, I decided to give this place a shot instead. The cafe is located inside of a health food store and is barely noticeable except for the green tent leading up to the door. There are tons of options on the menu and best of all - they're all healthified! We ordered the Salmon & Avocado Sandwich and Chicken & Mushroom Enchiladas (w/ red sauce) to split and both were delicious. The bread on the sandwich was so fluffy and the salmon was cooked perfectly. Of course I couldn't pass up trying one of their cookies (or 3 - thanks to their $5 credit card minimum) and unfortunately all of them looked better than they tasted. The health food store side has a wide selection of dried and powdered herbs, all sorts of other nutritional powders and mixes, and a few shelves of healthy grocery products. It's very much an old school health food store, so those who enjoy the comforts of Whole Foods might find the selection here limited. The staff is much more knowledgeable here, though, and will gladly help you mix up a potion to cure what ails you. The restaurant side has a solid menu, including (unsurprisingly) an array of tasty vegetarian options. There's a southwest/tex-mex bent to most of their dishes; I've had a few different enchiladas here, and all were great. There's a bakery, too, and I recommend the sweet, melty, peanut butter bar if you're so inclined. Counter service, speedy lunches, medium prices ($6-10). I haven't done exhaustive testing, but I remember this being some of the "healthiest" food I've found in town outside of my own kitchen. read more

I stopped in here after a friend mentioned this place to me. Ironically, I was looking for a specific supplement nearby and they referred me to AMF, so it sounded like the universe was trying to tell me something. Parking is annoying, because it shares a parking lot with several other high traffic businesses. Inside it is divided into a restaurant area and a products/store area. I was able to browse and see things that are hard to find other places. I picked up some toothpaste that I really like, and the supplement I was looking for. Adam helped me and was friendly and very helpful. I ordered food to go, after shopping, and I went with a cup of the vegan chili and the southern plate. If I am being honest, I am a new member of the vegetarian crew, and still getting used to the new textures and flavors, but this food was wayyyy less than impressive. The value for price was about average I guess, but the chili was horrible! It was watery, came with one tiny slice of pita, and had tiny chunks of something in it. It was bland to boot. I've been coming to moveable feast for 20 years. The owners are letting new management ruin the legacy that has stood for decades. The values this place used to stand for are eroding quickly. They used to utilize the highest quality ingredients and carry the highest quality condiments. Now they have Heinz, Sysco products and sweet n low. Food doesn't taste the same from the veggie pattys to the rice to the pasta. Even the famous tea taste more watered down. Quality has changed now that new management is cutting corners to "modernize" the place. The reliable HEALTH store with tasty healthy food and exceptional ingredients is turning into a standard boring restaurant with lower quality ingredients just like everywhere else. It's a shame the owners are letting kids fresh out of school with no real operational experience destroy the legacy and values this place once stood for. Many Long term customers are very disappointed. I've given this place 5 chances since new management took over and I'll wait to come back until ownership takes a more active role again. I decided to try A Moveable Feast, it's a family owned health food store and cafe. After browsing the store side I grabbed a menu and took like what felt forever to decide on a meal. There were so many options and I also wanted to stick to the plan of eating more #plantbased meals. I took a cup of tomato soup and a "Happy Burger". The tomato soup was a perfect temperature, simple and delicious. The Happy Burger is more of a sandwich than burger BUT way yummy! The patty consists of fresh veggies and quinoa grilled and topped off with chipotle mayo and a vinaigrette coleslaw. I added avocado slices because why not! It's served on a ciabatta bun and offers a gluten free bun option too. Although I'm limiting my gluten too i went for the ciabatta and it was like a biting into a tasty cloud. Originally a little bland but I think that was my fault with the simple sauce and tofu. My friend had the grilled chicken on ciabatta. I had a small bite and it was yummy! Came with a small cup of avocado spread. The portion was pretty big and I liked that I didn't feel stuffed with preservatives or MSG afterwards. Both liked their food, but were not a fan of the sides (Mexican rice and salad) still, they enjoyed it. One got a bottled cola which he didn't enjoy much but I loved the tea they offered (with lreusable cups and spoons!) i added stevia (against their advice) and it was lovely.
