The visuals are amazing and surpassed by the flavors of these unique desserts. After visiting Notre Dame we crossed the Seine to A. Lacroix where I had to have the famous Notre Dame Apple , also a Madagascar and a Hot Chocolate. Truly a great experience, sitting there in the shadow of the restored Notre Dame in this little shop noshing on these delicious treats. The service was very good. It was on our list of must dos and we weren't disappointed.

A must visit while in Paris!!! The store is owned by a husband and wife duo producing delicious fruit-centric pastries. These are all to die for and it's nestled just a quick walk from Notre Dame. Service is pretty fast, but there might be a small wait due to how popular the store is. While we were there we saw people constantly coming in the store to admire and consume all of the beautifully arranged desserts. My main goal after seeing the photos online was to buy the Notre Dame(apple sponge cake with fresh apples inside.) If I had more time in Paris, I would definitely try and make a stop here again.

Great patisserie with a wide selection of desserts, baked items, and coffees. We had the peche and pistache framboise with a latte and sat at a table out front with an amazing view of the Notre Dame. Both desserts were incredible! Slightly pricey at ~€7 per dessert but totally worth it based on the amount of work that goes into creating these works of art!

A. Lacroix is a mandatory stop either before visiting Notre Dame or afterwards. The deserts are presented in a way that are so appealing to the eye, you almost don't want to cut into it. Of course, get the Notre Dame apple, which is their most infamous desert. It was truly bursting with green apple flavor!! We also tried the Citron Frambois (Raspberry) and that was so beautifully created. Have a hot latte and get a seat facing toward the River Siene (pronounced Senn) and just enjoy the masterpiece of a Pâtisserie on your plate as well as the cathedral in front of you. A. Lacroix's creations are the apple of Paris' eye. :)

This was such a cute patisserie! I walked in and there was no line but they were out of a lot of desserts. I was still able to get a lemon pastry which was cheaper liked a cut lemon (too cute) and a Parisian hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was basically a glass of warm milk with a wooden stick inside. The stick had a ball of chocolate on it which melts as you stir in the glass of warm milk. What an interesting way to have hot chocolate! It was delicious although I would have liked more chocolate in it since the hot chocolate was more on the milkier side. The pastry was decent but at times way too tart and lemony. The base in the bottom was crumbly and delicious though. The ambience was a bit dated and they definitely need to pay attention to cleaning the tables, but overall, I would be back to try their other pastry options.

On our last day in Paris, we decided to pass by here to get a crème brûlée and we got the best one ever. Very delicious and not sugary. I got the strawberry with vanilla cream dessert and it was so yummy. I'm not a "dessert " person but this place is worth mentioning and highly recommended. The Filipino girl who served us was very sweet and made us try the macaroons which were the best I've ever had in all my trips all over Europe. Location is great right in front of Notre Dame. Highly recommended. I shall return!

BEST ALMOND CROISSANTS HANDS DOWN! we also LOVED the plain croissants and the hot chocolate. The apple pastry wasn't our thing but we will def come back here to try the rest of the amazing items they have ! I wish i woulda bought a box of almond croissants on our last day to take with us back home but next time, that is the plan! Service is phenomenal.. friendly and helpful staff!

This has it all! Cozy atmosphere with stone walls and exposed beams, beautiful pastries (we were like this is the final Bake Off signature pastries!), fair prices, and good coffee and hot chocolate. Our group of five liked it so much, we returned the next day, so I feel confident in saying that you will have a hard time deciding, but no worries---everything is excellent! It is run by a Franco-American couple, with the American running front of the house, so you can speak English or French comfortably.

Wow! Went for the apple cake and was given so many delightful choices. The chocolate almond croissant was the best croissant of my visit- and trust me, I tried a bunch! Brought the peach and the apple cakes back to the hotel for later. The peach was really great however it was raspberry flavored. Tried the apple the next day and it was good too! But the croissant and coffee was perfection! Service was ok, they were busy but it was fine. Shop was small but cute. We grabbed a table outside and watched the people walking along the river- loved that.

Stopped by this spot for a little coffee pick me up and this coffee shop is in the perfect spot to look at Notre Dame through the trees. Everyone their was really nice and especially the owner who was welcoming. I decided to get a caramel latte and a strawberry macaron which was super yummy and perfect for the chilly weather outside. Unique desserts that look so cute! There's a lot of options and it was so hard to choose just a few. We tried the Citron Vert Coco, Norte Dame, and Citron Framboise. Each one had filling inside and the fruit flavors were strong.

Very cute bakery and coffee shop. We came here to take a break after visiting notre dame. The staff was friendly and cute. Interior was decorated nicely and had a rustic Alice in wonderland vibe. We sat outside to enjoy the scenery (you get the view of the back of notre dame). The shop had a lot of dessert and pastry options. I got a lemon tart with ginger tea and my friends got a salmon quiche and a pistachio mouse dessert. Everything was super yummy. Very happy we found this spot for a break. read more

Came in after class for a light brunch and was pleasantly surprised by the vegetarian options. I'm not vegetarian but I thoroughly enjoyed the toast with herb spread, tomatoes and avocado. All of the veggies were fresh and tasted perfect together. It was simple but uplifting my refreshing. I also got a vanilla bean dessert and chocolate chaud. I wasn't impressed with the hot chocolate (milky) but the dessert was beautiful and delicious. Would definitely return for dessert option and toast. read more

Everything about this place was a delight. Coffee superb (even for Paris where the bar is high). We split a quiche Lorraine and a pastry Notre Dame (the apple). The quiche was warmed up and heavenly. Light and fluffy with a buttery crust. The pastry was a thing of delicious mystery. Paper thin layer of white chocolate around apple mousse, which surrounded a fresh apple filling. Little slice of cake at the bottom. Too often desserts are overly sweet - this felt indulgent without being cloying. It was and incredibly light bite. read more

This was our very first time in Paris and I was very excited to get my sugar rush on eating ton and tons of macaroons. We stumbled upon a cute little corner shop directly across of the Notre-Dame Cathedral. So happy we did. So many different things to choose from and they all looked so yummy. The macaroons were huge and the best we ever tasted by far. Maybe it was the whole being in Paris eating macaroons thing but believe me, we were in macaroon heaven. We also had a chocolate cake that looked very rich, not true. I couldn't believe how tasty and not to sweet this cake actually was. Oh boy, wish we had a shop just like this at home. The owner and his wife are actually from the states. It was such a pleasure chatting with her, she made us feel so welcomed. A must go to if you're ever in Paris. Such a cute little shop with a beautiful view of Notre Dame. We chatted with the lovely woman at the counter and eventually got to talking about where we were from. The owner of the shop came out and mentioned she was from Columbus, Ohio! We chatted about that for a bit before getting to the good stuff.....THE FOOD. We came here twice in a single day and brought our friends the second time around. I tried the raspberry pistachio AND chocolate macaroon. They're all homemade in house and boy were they delicious. Left no trace of any macaroons being eaten. They're coffee isn't too bad but not anything out of the ordinary for your average coffee shop. read more

Food was good, and the cups were adorable, but they shouldn't be advertised as a place with free wifi that's good for working. I was just told to put my computer away because they get busy on the weekends and will need the space eventually, never mind that there were plenty of free seats while I've been here. Also, there was no free wifi. At least the women that told me to put my ipad away was nice about it, but I don't think I'll be coming back if the two perks that drew me here in the first place are false. read more

This cafe caught our eye through the window with all of its baked goods and we decided to try something from here. I got one of the pastries that had tomatoes and big chunks of cheese melted on bread and it was surprisingly excellent for how simple the whole thing was. Literally only 3 ingredients and it tasted great! A really nice cafe with plenty of seating and tasty food for great prices! read more

Friendly service, inviting and spacious atmosphere. Staff's English is excellent. Made for stress-free communication. Didn't eat anything. Only got an espresso, which was strong but sweet. No sugar needed. Came on a Tuesday and it was quiet. Nice spot to work/read for a while. 4 stars because: - couldn't put toilet paper IN the toilet (sign says they're working on repairs, so to put TP in trashcan... kind of gross) - Heat was turned off until the owner came in (wasn't unbearable but definitely not comfortable) - power went out momentarily and WiFi went down (don't think it was their fault, but the WiFi wouldn't stay connected after that) All-in-all, good experience. Would recommend for some quiet time. read more

Stopped in for a late breakfast after walking over to Notre Dame Cathedral. The bacon and cheese and provincal quiches were both very good. I actually found this place searching near our hotel for 'cafe English' since though I can make due with stretching my high school French from years ago, it's just easier sometimes. Wonderful gem across the Seine river, directly facing the rosette windows of Notre Dame. The pastries are literally edible art, with tiny sheets of gold leaf gently waving at you from the pastry case. Beautifully and thoughtfully renovated space with exposed beams and million dollar views. Best of all, English-speaker AND kid friendly. Not a tourist dive, but welcoming to locals and tourist alike. Exactly what we were looking for to accommodate our family with 4 kids while exploring Paris. Highly recommended for extremely high quality food and drinks, a beautiful space, perfect location across from Notre Dame, and friendly staff. Only complaint is they don't have a location in our hometown of Philadelphia! Merci! read more

Good points about this cafe: tourisy friendly. It's apparently owned by an American and the staff speaks it as well. And IT HAS toilettes!!! Not so good points about this cafe: their Cafe au lait is probably the weakest I've tasted in Paris so far. The price is also double or triple of other cafes. read more

"Hey, Indiana!" That's how I was greeted by one of the ex-pat owners the second time I was in there. She even remembered I'd ordered a carmel machiatto my first visit. The fact she remembered me and made it a point to acknowledge me was pretty cool. I brought my wife the second time through and we had a raspberry and vanilla macaron. Bad mistake. My wife is now seriously addicted to them. Very cozy, cute space and strong wifi. We felt like a stereotypical fairy tale, sitting by the Seine, looking at Notre Dame, eating macarons at a small table out front, as I sipped my coffee. The day before I did the same as bell of Notre Dame rang. Thanks A. Lacroix for helping make one of my lasting memories of Paris. read more

Nice little coffee shop. Like other review said people were friendly. The foreign tourists here were very welcomed. The environment was cozy. If you sit by the window, you'll have a great view of the cathedral notre dame de Paris. A great place for little something and rest during your visit in the area. read more

Stumbled across this place while exploring the Notre Dame area. For a quick caffeine pick-me-up, A Lacroix has good coffee and croissants with a nice view of the cathedral. The table sitting next to us ordered some kind of soup. It smelled awesome. The staff speaks English. I would come back to try the other pastries and food if back in the area. We got their interpretation of "pizza." OMG, delicious. They've somehow infused the light flaky pastry crust with a unctuous cheese flavor. Being Californians, we're used to a lot of produce and often feel like we're getting scurvy when we travel. The pizza we selected had fresh avocado, cucumber and tomato. It somehow made it fresh and bright tasting without overpowering the other flavors or making it taste like a salad. We also got the special Notre Dame apple which was even better if possible. Note the unobstructed view of Notre Dame behind the apple. read more

i have eaten pastry all over Paris. there are no better pastries the those of Monsieur Lacroix. there is no more welcoming, pleasant, or lovely person than Madame Gibson. best croissant amandes i have EVER had. do not look for shaved almonds. they are made with whole almonds. nor will you leave any of the creme brulee pastry on your plate. and, then, work your way threw the macaroons. die happy. read more

Excellent café for a rest stop in the middle of tourist central. Clearly the owners put excellence at the top of their priorities. Exquisite pastries, wonderful savories like mini-quiche and delicious coffee makes this THE spot to stop whether you are touring or hanging out in Paris. And the view of Notre Dame ain't bad either!! read more

A Lacroix is a really cute cafe only a few blocks from Notre Dame. There's fast WiFi and plenty of tables, a great place to get some work done and relax for a few hours. My cappuccino was average. But I'm obsessed with anything Earl Grey, and the Earl Grey tart was out of this world! It was extremely light and flavorful without being too sweet. The other desserts were beautiful, I just wish I had time to try them all! read more

This place is amazing and centrally located by Notre Dame! The owner is amazing and very hospitable. She walked me through all of the pastries and they were delicious. I bought gifts for all of my family! If you want to sit and have your cafe ole and treats there is a beautifully decorated area for you to relax. Her bakery chef is so talented and cute if I do say so myself ! LOL My friends wanted a steak for dinner and she gave us an amazing suggestion that was right around the corner. The Josephine crepe with egg, cheese, spinach, bacon and cream was rich and flavorful. The Ile se la Cote crepe with chicken, mushrooms, cream had less depth but the mushrooms were super fresh. The Chatelet crepe with cinnamon, caramelized apples and vanilla ice cream of course tasted like traditional apple pie, but in crepe form. The Alessia crepe with salted butter caramel and bananas was perhaps the best of the four crepes we ate. Service was a bit brusque, but ultimately it did not detract from the meal.

Charming corner coffee shop perfect for light computer work, people-watching, or some combination of both. People were continuously streaming in and out, yet it was never crowded. Relative paucity of electrical plugs with none at the window bar. I ordered an Americano and the caramel macaron, which was given to me instead at the pay counter by a server who spoke perfect English. A complimentary mini meringue was a nice touch. The caramel macaron itself was pure delight. Each bite was a crisp with a pillowy density. The caramel filling was superb. Later, I tasted some of the strawberry "ice cream", which was more of a sorbet. It was also a refreshing delight on this humid and warm summer day. As I left, I saw that the jar containing the caramel macarons was the first one to empty for the day. Seems to be a popular flavor. read more

I recently enjoyed lunch at A. Lacroix Pâtisserie in Paris, and it was a fantastic experience. I ordered avocado toast, two pastries, and a flat white, all of which were excellent. The avocado toast was served on dark, grainy bread topped with creamy avocado and fresh cherry tomatoes. It was simple, fresh, and really tasty. For dessert, I had the Trompe-l'œil apple pastry, which was flavorful and well-made, and the chocolate mousse shaped like a Rubik's cube, which was rich and fun. Both were delicious and satisfying. The flat white was smooth and paired well with the meal. Overall, A. Lacroix Pâtisserie is a great spot for quality food and desserts in Paris. I'd definitely go back! read more

We came here once by chance, but came all the way across town again the next day because their of their desserts! The chocolate almond croissant is a must try...but get one of everything else too while you are there. Great location to Notre Dame and the Bato Bus drop off.
