People love the sandwiches so much that his stall inside Marche' Des Efants Rouges can see lines lasting upwards of an hour or more. And people stay in the line. We lucked out and only had to wait about twenty minutes. I tell you, I'd wait all day if need be. I often dream of the sandwiches we had and can't wait to have them again. They did a good job making room for us - I have to say they mastered the art of optimizing what little space they have but even still be prepared for a tight fit. The menu has a selection of baked good, crepes, and sandwiches. We asked the employee working behind the counter what they recommended and he suggested the kebab panini as he sells many of them every day. We decided to each get one, which was served promptly. The sandwich wasn't my favorite - the chicken seemed a little off, and it wasn't that tasty. I wouldn't say it was awful, but I also wouldn't order it again. Looking back, perhaps I ordered the wrong thing (despite it being recommended to me). I'm puzzled by all these 5-star reviews - maybe the crepes are better? Two stars for the friendly and attentive service, but I would bypass this spot next time I'm in Paris.
