Fantastic coffee, fantastic merch. Conveniently by the Chatalet Metro, and there's lots of sidewalk seating if you want to be romantic[1]. If it's cold out, I'm guessing there's room for 10-15 people inside if you get real cozy. Motors Coffee has the best merchandise I've seen at a coffee shop: I spotted keytags[2], stickers, and lighters. I went for a Hot Wheels-inspired lighter and have no regrets. Motors just dropped a new lighter design (check their Instagram @motorscoffee). Credit accepted. They have a loyalty card so you can keep track of all the coffee you're drinking, and eventually get a free coffee. [1] In a hip Parisian way. [2] Pretty sure they're from Various Keytags, an awesome Brooklyn-based company. read more

We're staying about 1.5 miles away, so I decided to make Motors the destination for a quick morning run. It was recommended to me by another excellent coffee shop in London, and it did not disappoint. Their Turboshot espresso was fantastic, and I also tried a black sesame roll that looked interesting. I'd never had anything like it, so I had to grab another one to take back to my wife. Edward was super kind and knowledgeable to explain to me their turboshot method. Would definitely make all kinds of excuses to come back! read more

I write this to you, my dear reader, back at my desk at this soul crushing 9-5 job hoping, dreaming, wishing of having one last Motors Coffee run on our Paris trip. It was head and shoulders our favorite coffee shop in the City of Light, and we lowkey made our rounds. It's a small shop, but filled to the brim with life and passion. I'm normally not a pastry guy, but if I lived anywhere near Motors I would absolutely be a pastry guy. The cinnamon roll was light and delicate, as opposed to the overly sweet and dense ones I'm used to. We also got a vanilla pastry they were testing, and a sugar cookie with milk chocolate drizzled on top. Ugh, take me back, inject these into my veins. I got my goto hot black coffee, and you could taste the freshness of the beans. My girlfriend got a latte that had the most beautiful little flower art on it. How do they even do that? I'm proud of myself, as I knew even when we were sitting in here enjoying our pastries, hot coffees, and each other's company that this was a moment I would look back on and cherish. It's always great knowing it's one of those moments when you're actually in it. You can fully appreciate it. My one regret is that I didn't get the ladies name serving us, as she was so sweet, recommended great pastries, and was just a pleasant human being. They don't make em like sis anymore... We grabbed a cup of coffee here on the way to the Louvre. It's a small shop with industrial decor and a simple menu. I decided to order a hot latte since it was a cold morning. The caffeine was much needed since we were going to be at the Louvre for a couple of hours. I didn't get to hang around too much as we were in a rush to get in line for the Louvre, but it felt like a great local coffee shop! read more

Great coffee. Cool vibe. All the right gear and industrial style. Laid back and excellent location. The only downside is telling customers they can't sit outside with a takeaway cup. read more

Simply the best at what they do. Motors is a bustling little coffee shop taking the time to craft quality, well made drinks for their customers. They have a solid menu, a few pour over options, tasty looking pastries when you walk in, and seating inside and out. The hubby and I took a seat outside and enjoyed a latte and cortado which were perfectly balanced, creamy, and delicious. The shop itself gives off coffee shop vibes and everyone working there was chill, friendly, and in the groove. We bought a box of beans to take back the stares, which did not disappoint and makes me long to go back to their Paris shop. read more

A delightful cafe - popular for a good reason. Think of a great French wine but now it is a delightful mocha or coffee. The coffee beans are smooth single source from Columbia. The chocolate is also very special and high quality. The mocha was like a complex wine..the flavors unveiled itself slowly with each sip The food on offer looks so tempting from vegan banana bread- chocolate or simple. Seats inside and outside. Please note like many French shops this is a small business. Respect their rules. No outside food. Be mindful - many seats outside and some inside. A water station inside too. If you are a frequent patron o quire about their frequent punch card. read more

Such a wonderful coffee shop. The Parisian coffee shop culture has changed a lot, so there are tons of specialty coffee shops. This place had special coffee and the barista encouraged me to sit down and savor the coffee and cookie. It was the perfect environment and I will definitely go back. read more

I stopped by Motors Coffee on a friend's recommendation, and it did not disappoint. I'm usually not a fan of cinnamon rolls--they're often too sweet or dense--but the one here was warm, delicate, and just the right amount of sweetness. It paired perfectly with a well-made latte. I also picked up a lighter at the counter, and the guy at the register threw in some free stickers, which was a really nice touch. The service was friendly and quick. You can relax inside the cozy shop or enjoy the laid-back outdoor seating with a view of Paris life passing by. read more

Accurately hyped! The entire experience is a 10/10. Limited seating, but it's very communal. The baristas are very well informed and provided so much detail on their services. The banana bread is very good. read more

While the drinks were good, it certainly did not live up to the hype we saw by a few breathless travel influencers. Cozy seating is tight. The pour overs were too expensive so did not order them. read more

A very cool coffee shop in a busy area. Great tasting latte and motors offers a variety of sweets options from cinnamon buns to banana bread and basque cheesecake. their latte is very smooth and not bitter/sour at all. Staffs are friendly and do speak English :) Seating is casual with metal chairs and wooden tables on the streets. people love to sit outside and chat - lovely vibe as this reminds me of coffee culture back home in Hanoi. read more

This place had really good coffee and pastries. The first time I got a flat white and a vanilla cinnamon roll just out of the oven. It was so good. The second time I went I got the pain perdu. It was huge and gooey and had a crystallized sugar top (kind of like a crème brûlée top). The place is really small with not a ton of seats but it has a good atmosphere and nice staff. read more

The coffee here was delicious and this definitely the best coffee in the neighborhood! The outdoor seating is more on the rustic side but really great spot for people watching. read more

Came by for coffee the other day and it was a world class experience. Ordered a latte from the staff behind the counter and they took payment via NFC card. They had both indoor and outdoor seating area along with free Wifi. Password is available from the staff! There is also a toilet in the basement. The latte itself was excellent. Temperature was perfect, along with the latte art. The espresso was very smooth and the foam was also excellent. They do have a sign prohibiting laptops though! 5 Euro for a latte. read more

Surprisingly the coffee in Paris doesn't compare to our third wave coffee in California, but Motors coffee was a very good option. I took off one star only because the flat white is way smaller (the size of a one shot espresso cup -2 sips) and more expensive than in the US. read more

Needed a quick caffeine and sugar fix while walking around Paris and came upon this coffee bar. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The inside is tiny, with seating for about 5 people, and very little room to maneuver around. It was crowded during midday, but service was quick and professional. WiFi is available. The people working behind the counter are very friendly and helpful. I ordered a mocha and chocolate chip cookie. Both were very good and high quality. The mocha had good espresso and chocolate flavor and was very smooth. However, it was room temperature and should have been much hotter. The chocolate chip cookie was thick and soft. It was not overly sweet, was loaded with fat and tasted very good. The coffee menu has a good selection of expresso drinks. There were only a couple of bakery items available during midday. Overall: Service: 5/5 Coffee: 4/4 Cookie: 4/5 Decor: 3/5 read more

Delicious! Coming from a self-proclaimed and not ashamed espresso snob this is fabulous. The staff is also engaging and a fun bunch!

They were super nice, spoke English and the coffee was so tasty. I also got a slice of banana cake. Fresh and moist. Extra points for having Oat milk. read more

So very happy to find this coffee shop in Paris! Delicious vegan banana bread for when we became tired of croissants. And delicious latte and cappuccino drinks with our favorite oat milk. Wonderful staff, wonderful place. read more

Paris is full of cafes and the ambience is great. But the coffee isn't always the best. Who cares, right? Well, if you live here you do. We really wouldn't be caught dead in a Starbucks, but we need to fill that hole, don't we? Well, this place fits the bill. Legit coffee, and a cool vibe. Easily accessible in the heart of the city. Close to Rivoli and Les Halles. They have all the alternative milk and names you're familiar with. A real treat, grab a couple of cool stickers while you're at it. read more

Best coffee we've had in Paris! In fact, we bought two bags of it to go! So smooth, not bitter at all. The tables and chairs are cute and comfortable... check out the fun bathrooms downstairs!
