One of the great things about knowing somebody who lived in Paris, especially a Melburnian, you can pretty much find out where the good coffee shops are. This was one of them that he recommended, and yeah, I'll certainly give this place the thumbs up. Okay, it's not hugely close to a station, but it is located in a lovely area, and like a lot of these parts of Paris, it is quite a charm to wander through it. Oh, and the plaza in which it is located is quite charming as well. I almost forgot, they do a pretty decent coffee as well, though you probably already worked that one out.

Lovely spot with healthy options and outdoor seating under sycamore trees just a hope and a skip from Sacré Coeur. If you fancy a grain bowl or fresh pressed fruit juice, this is your place.

I may be a bit of a coffee snob. Pinkies up! This place is worth the 22 minutes on two trains and 6 minute walk commute from my hotel. An absolutely must if you value great coffee! Location, location, location. So easy to get to from a few train stations and plenty of seating, even tho it's always busy. I usually get a double espresso, the crema hits my lips and my tastebuds sing when that heavenly elixir pours in. The service is quick and always pleasant. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I tried a latte. Saying I love this spot is an understatement.

I enjoyed this coffee spot. It's nice, cosy, tiny and is a treasure for true brew coffee fans. I have ordered aero presses on Burundi and Ethiopia coffee. Really worth to be visited.

Perfect place for a caffeine intake in Montmartre. I tried their cappuccino w a single shot espresso every day when I was in Paris (4days) and even if the prices were on the premium side (15 eur 2 coffees and 2 scones), the quality of the coffee and the service was all worth having coffee to bed everyday. You can take it to go or stay in, there are some pastry options in the house. The neighborhood is gorgeous. Ah they have wifi only during the week, weekends are made for conversation

What Kooka Boora has going for it is is rarity. Even though the options have multiplied within the recent past, it's still a headache finding a relaxed Wifi-connected spot with great coffee in Paris. Kooka Boora is located in a prime spot on the corner of the rue Condorcet with a wraparound terrace that's perfecto when the sun's out. While the coffee is killer (get the latte!) and the baked goods divine (you musn't miss the scone!) the seating is a bit cramped and the communal wood tables, which are meant to be modular, move while you type, which can be problematic when you've got three people tapping away at the same table. If Kooka Boora could solve the seating issue and make the place just a wee more comfortable then it would definitely be a 5-star establishment. Considering the space constrictions I don't think a makeover is on the immediate horizon, but there's no crime in asking!

It's a shame that this to go cup ended up covered:(

Funny how life turns out, I've actually been here already 3 years ago visiting the "Le Web" conference. I am happy to confirm, that this space is still great, including the coffee and the location. Anyhow, you could say it is a bit pricy: my caffe latte turned out to be a 4,00€ debt on my credit card, so cheap is definitely something else, but it's still within the boundaries of acceptable coffee pricing. Anyhow, music is great, location pretty nice with seating ranging from quiet comfortable benches up to chairs. I can warmly recommend it as a quiet place to work on your notebook, so go ahead and give it a try if you are in need of wifi and coffee.

3.50€ scone, warmed up, perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside

One of my favorite cafés to visit when I need to get work done. Plenty of outdoor seating, and a good amount of indoor spots for you and your laptop, though it does get pretty crowded. Free wifi, lots of power outlets, and great music, which is always a plus. As for the food, I've only ordered the plain scone (3.50€) so far, and I would definitely get it again. They warm it up for you and serve it with jam and butter for a snack that reminds you of home. Crispy coating around a soft inside that made my day about 5 times better. My friend got a fresh-pressed juice (you can choose your own combination for around 6€) of lemon, ginger, and apple, and she seemed pretty ecstatic about it. Highly recommend!

Classy, cute and casual. Kooka Boora (KB) is one of my favorite coffeeshops I've visited throughout my Europe travels. I love the atmosphere -- it's a great place to read, relax, or do some casual people watching. Everyone at the coffeeshop seems to have a different story and reason for stopping by...it ranges from Paris locals to tourists (like me). It is visible that I cannot say a single word in French, but despite this...the workers are extremely friendly and provide great service :) It's wonderful to be finally treated like a local in a foreign place. I've been trying flat whites in a bunch of coffeeshops and this place, by far has one of the best ones I've ever tried. I like that it isn't too milky and you can really get the hint of the expresso!! A lot of people seem to also be into their food, such as: sandwiches, granola, pastries, etc. I got the scone that comes with butter and jam. It is SCONE PERFECTION and not dry at all. I also saw that the carrot cake is really popular and that'll probably be my round two snack in a bit. Just can't get enough of their tasty snacks! Until then...I'm completely KOOKA CRAZY for this place!!

Delicious coffee (with soy milk options!!!!), friendly service, sweets and wifi in a cute setting. This is the Paris cafe I have been looking and waiting for! Now if only the supply could keep up with the demand: on a recent Saturday afternoon there was no savory food left and very little of anything else, including vegetables and fruits for fresh juices. Nevertheless, every arrondissement needs a cafe like this.

Y E S please.

Aside from it always being busy, this place has really good coffee both to order and a wide selection of beans for purchase.

She told me I needed to get the pain au chocolat as they tend to run out. I got myself the ham and tomato thing as well as a big log covered in chocolate. I ate what I got on my flight back to LA. My friend was right. They make good stuff. I have to commend the person working. She was literally the only person out there. It was quite busy and she had her hands full

Upon entering the bakery, I was greeted by the aroma of butter and the sight of neat rows of fresh pastries. I really wanted to try one of everything, but I was determined to try the pain au chocolat, a personal favorite. Le Grenier a Pain's pain au chocolat was much larger and heartier than others I've tried yet retained its buttery-flakiness without feeling too heavy. I really enjoyed the pillowy texture of the pain au chocolat, which included a generous amount of chocolate folded inside. Paired with a cafe au lait, I was in heaven. The bakery is small yet inviting, and there was no seating indoors or outdoors. While I was hoping to enjoy my pastry on-the-go, it started pouring outside, so I was forced to huddle underneath the awning while I consumed my pain au chocolat. While I'd definitley come back for another pain au chocolat, I would also want to sample their savory pastries on my next visit.

We sat on the second floor but there is seating in the passage way as well. They do have wine in addition to coffee, hot chocolate, and tea. We tried the pistachio tart, the acrulier (like a fancier Ferrero rocher) and Kalingo (a chocolate cake). I had the gunpowder green tea while my sister had the hot chocolate. I honestly liked their hot chocolate more than the one at Angelina. It was rich but not chalky and the perfect amount of sweetness. The pistachio tart was the best one we've ever had and revived our spirits after a long day of walking. You pay downstairs and credit cards are accepted.

This is a two floor establishment. The upstairs floor is a bit cozier and also has a bathroom if needed. I got one of those cozy window seats where I just sat and enjoyed the view while I ate. The menu + payment is all done via QR Code so things are super easy. Also, they have this cool thing where the dishes come up via a machine of sorts from the ground floor to the main floor. Therefore, the waiters don't actually have to go to the kitchen to grab any food. I went ahead and chose the most provocative item: the Avocado Halloumi Benny. Damn that looked like a breakfast I'd get in the US. A nice and generous brioche bread. Generous amounts of Halloumi. The sun dried tomatoes added another bounce to it. The paprika too added the kick I needed. Then you add the egg. It almost felt like heaven. This kept me full till dinner! I washed it all off with a cold brew. I asked for milk too, but the waitress must have gotten confused and gave it to me black. In this case, it probably was better as this easily washed out the immaculate breakfast I had.
