    No sugar added mango juice
    Cherie O.

Friendly and fast server who quickly got us seated and took our orders in this clean restaurant which is located in a strip mall but doesn't feel like one. I got the mango juice when I asked which drinks did not have added sugar, this is what she suggested. It was sooo delightfully refreshing and not cloyingly sweet. The lunch crowd came pouring in after us but she handled a full restaurant very well. Then the food arrived and we ate almost all of it before realizing that we had forgotten to take any photos. The hazards of being a foodie yelper. Here are the photos we did take though. The food was so yummy so we will be back. I had gotten Singapore noodles which had at least ten jumbo prawns and loads of vegetables. Hubby got beef pho that had chunks of beef along with veggies. Very yummy so very happy.

We went on a Saturday evening (early) and were the only party seated, so I was a little concerned, however, there were doing a lot of takeout orders. Our server was very friendly and checked back on us regularly. Food came out extremely quickly. Note- if you order a soda, it comes out in a can, with a glass of ice. Not pictured were our entrees - pad Thai and soft shell crab. Ambiance is casual and the shopping center is unassuming. Extensive menu to choose from. We would recommend and return.

Service was amazing! They are very attentive and make sure that you don't have to ask for anything! The seating area has both music playing and a tv (no sound). There are several booth type tables for 4 - - that can possibly be joined for a larger crowd. The winner for me was that they sell both ramen and pho. The pho was very good. The noodles in the ramen as a bit slimy and more like oodle of noodle noodles (not the thicker noodles we are used to in ramen). The appetizers were really good also. Overall, I will return to try other dishes.

Has a lovely flavorful lunch here today! Friend suggested to meet up here and this is a nice cozy restaurant. Not tons of seating and it seems like they had quite a few people picking up to-go orders! The server was super attentive and friendly. She made sure we were well taken care of. For food we had the following: Dumplings-I thought they had great flavor and great sauce. Kao poa gow (basically Thai basil chicken) was also very flavorful. My friend enjoyed her Thai iced coffee as well as her pad Thai with tofu. She also had a boa bun and liked it.

I visited there during a recent getaway. I wanted some good Asian food, so of course I checked Yelp. Akitchen was highly ranked and close by so I figured I'd check it out. That was a good choice! It's a small restaurant inside of a strip mall. There are a few tables there to eat-in, but I got takeout. I ordred the Money Bags and Thin RIce Noodle Pad Thai with beef. The Money Bags were great! They were filled with meat and highly spiced. The peanut flavor really stood out! For about $9, you get 3 (not bad in my opinion), nice sized and the presentation was very cute! The dipping sauce was a great addition. A little sweetness to balance the savory of the filling. I ate them too fast though. Second, I had the Pad Thai. I try Pad Thai at just about every restaurant that serves it so I did so here too. The flavor was pretty good, though I would have liked more sauce on the noodles. The amount of beef was about right, but a little more wouldn't have hurt. The bean sprouts were nice and crunchy, noodles cooked well and the lime rounded everything out. The lady that greeted customer had a big smile when people came to pick up their food. Nice to see that, especially as it's becoming more rare to see it. She was very personable and my order was waiting for me at the time it was scheduled to be ready. Overall, I enjoyed the restaurant and meal and would definitely go there again when I'm in the area.

I have been to Thailand 3 times and the food is amazing. Today eating at A Kitchen I felt like I was once again enjoying great Thai food without the long plane ride.

I came here with family and I really enjoyed all the options here! In this case asian fusion definitely means they have something of everything - from Chinese to Thai food. It was very good and nice and warm which is great for this chilly weather. We started with vegetarian spring rolls which were very tasty! I got the basil fried rice and my boyfriend got the super spicy ramen. We both liked our dishes a lot. This place had plenty of vegetarian options so I was pleasantly surprised and very happy we came here. I loved my dish - there were lots of fresh vegetables and I loved the fresh basil... but I had quite a few leftovers to take home. My only criticism is that it would be nice to have bigger take out containers!

The service can feel a little slow if you're in a rush. If you're doing takeout you go upstairs to grab your order. If you want to dine in, you go down to the left. On a recent trip, I tried their salmon curry and it was incredible. I highly recommend ordering this wholesome and delicious dish. This is a wonderful spot for Thai food.

I noticed a discrepancy between the amount on my receipt and what was actually charged to my card. It may have only been a small difference, but that's not acceptable under any circumstance. A dollar here or there adds up, and it raises real concerns when it appears to be a pattern. I had intentionally left a cash tip to ensure it went directly to my server, not through the business. Fortunately, I kept my receipt after hearing about similar situations happening before. When my statement came in, the charge didn't match. I called the restaurant to resolve the issue, and the floor manager said someone from management or accounting would follow up. Over a week later, I never received a call. I ended up disputing the charge with my bank. What should have been a nice Friday night dinner ended on a frustrating note. Unfortunately, that's what made the experience memorable--and not in a good way.

The Thai food here SLAPS! The dining area is fairly small, maybe about 10-12 tables, can see it filling up pretty quickly. Our server was super friendly and attentive (forgot her name) and was so nice to our noisy toddler haha. Food came out at pretty good pace and app, entrees and food didn't all come out at the same time which was nice. You HAVE to get their Thai sausage appetizer - If they made this an entree, I would get it every single time. The sausage is perfectly balanced with lean and fat and packed full of Thai flavor and spices. For my entree I got the Thai fried rice with chicken and this portion is HUGE, was able to take some home and easily serve it as another meal. The fried rice was so tasty and fried chicken was perfectly fried and came with a nice sweet and sour sauce too. My wife loved the pad se ew and got to take home her food as well. If this place was closer to us, it would be not good for our wallets. If you want delicious and authentic Thai food, look no further than Yak Yai!

I have heard good things from colleagues, some of them state that this is their favorite ramen in Richmond, though I have to say, I'm not convinced this place deserves their high praise. When we arrived, we ordered a drink at the bar, but were quickly seated thereafter, and our drinks that we ordered at the bar simply never arrived. When we spoke to the server about this, she seemed confused, and appeared to be somewhat new, and ultimately did not honor that happy hour prices of our drinks that ended up showing up 30 minutes later. Furthermore, one drink that I ordered was regular price, but the price listed on the menu was incorrect, and again the server would not the lower price that was printed on the menu. I was not informed of this error until the receipt was printed. The ramen itself was fine. I've had better, I've had worse. I felt like the broth itself was overall way too salty, and lacked the depth the flavor that I was seeking in a ramen broth. The noodles were well cooked and al dente, and the toppings were a nice addition. All in all, my experience here was rather disappointing, and I really hope that there's better ramen in Richmond.

The pad see ew had a good "wok hay" flavor and the sauce was perfectly savory with a bit of sweetness. The wide noodles could have been a bit more chewy (felt like they were a bit overcooked). The entree lacked egg, Chinese, broccoli, and chicken as it was mostly noodles. I felt a bit ripped off. The portion sizes were large so most of us had leftovers for another meal. Personally, I would rather have more toppings other than carbs with a smaller portion. Overall, 3.5/5.
