I has…read moreimplants for ten years prior no issues just wanted them to fit my body more and sit closer together... Several weeks later, while traveling internationally, I began feeling extremely sick and developed worsening symptoms. Antibiotics were recommended/called in, but my condition rapidly escalated. I was ultimately diagnosed overseas with an MSSA staph infection that progressed to sepsis, requiring emergency hospitalization in Nice, France. I was taken by ambulance to the hospital with a documented fever of approximately 105 degrees and severe vomiting, and I ultimately underwent emergency explant surgery. I had drain placed and remained hospitalized in France for almost a while recovering. This was one of the most traumatic and frightening experiences of my life. Being seriously ill in a foreign country where I did not speak the language made the situation even more terrifying and isolating. In addition to the emotional and physical trauma, this situation also created significant financial consequences for me, including the original surgery costs, emergency ambulance transport, hospitalization and medical care in France, canceled travel plans, changed flights, and the loss of the European trip I had planned. recovery after this was extremely difficult, and I continued to seek medical care for ongoing symptoms and concerns after returning home. I understand that complications can happen with any surgery. However, based on my personal experience, I was deeply disappointed by the communication, bedside manner, follow-up, and level of support I felt I received during and after this medical crisis. In my opinion, the response did not feel as urgent or supportive as I would have expected given the severity of what I was experiencing. Separate from the medical emergency itself, I was also ultimately unhappy with my cosmetic results. I underwent a revision procedure and I paid additional costs for internal pocket revision work intended to improve implant positioning and symmetry. Despite this, I personally felt the final result appeared uneven, including noticeable asymmetry between my breasts. When I raised concerns, I personally did not feel that my concerns were meaningfully addressed or that I was offered a satisfactory path forward. Given both the aesthetic outcome and the severe medical complications that followed, this entire experience was incredibly disappointing and traumatic for me overall. This review reflects solely my personal experience and opinion as a patient.

I called Dr. Diaz's office to confirm if this was normal and if anything had happened to not achieve the perfect results expected. Dr. Diaz called and explained everything perfectly and removed all of my concerns. Dr. Diaz is truly one of the best plastic surgeons, and a rhinoplasty is like trying to do surgery on a moving target. To solve for the final 1% of my concern, I was invited to speak to him for a revision in the future if needed. This is all to say, he is truly the best and while 99.999% of his results are all home runs, sometimes very complex noses (like mine) have a slightly almost perfect result and that is OKAY! Absolutely nothing to do with his amazing expertise or the amazing team. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Rahban and my revision rhinoplasty experience. After living with a problem from a previous surgery for over 35 years, I finally decided to have it corrected, and I only wish I had done it much sooner. Going into this surgery, I was extremely apprehensive. Since this was a revision procedure, I had a lot of concerns and uncertainty. From my very first consultation, Dr. Rahban took the time to truly listen to me. He was honest about what could realistically be achieved, never overpromised, and made sure I fully understood the expected outcome. I never felt pressured--instead, he genuinely cared that I was emotionally and mentally ready before moving forward. That level of compassion and integrity meant so much to me. Her skill, precision, and honesty are unmatched, and the level of empathy that she's able to maintain throughout every single appointment is something that cannot be replicated. She also has no problem with saying no, which I think is one of the greatest traits an injector can have, and always follows up with a thorough explanation of her rationale in a way that is easily digestible. I've been going to her for over 3 years now for Dysport in different parts of my face as well as my traps, have had zero complications, and have loved how natural my results have been every time. I moved up to Norcal a year ago, but still fly down every 4-5 months to see her. Furthermore, in March, after seeing Angella for my initial follow-up dose of Dsyport, I made the mistake of getting a touch-up with someone else in NorCal because I did not have time to come back down to LA within the time frame that I needed to. For context, my masseters are just extremely strong and sometimes require more units than expected, since it depends on how much teeth grinding I do both at night and throughout the day, all of which is heavily influenced by how stressed I am from school and work. This is unfortunately something that I wish I had never done because their approach was not compatible with the goals that I had communicated to them, leaving me with my left masseters looking larger than the right, as well as my face looking rounder because of where they injected the Dysport. Waiting a couple of months for this second round of Dysport to wear off was extremely frustrating and interfered significantly with my understanding of my image. When I saw Angella again after 4 months, she immediately noticed the imbalance in my face and explained the exact technique she would use to address it, aligning directly with my goals and remembering them. I walked away from this appointment feeling incredibly grateful for her and beyond excited to be reunited, and also so sure that I would never let anyone else touch my face out of convenience ever again. All in all, I could not recommend Angella more. She is a true artist and gem in the world of aesthetic medicine, and she's made me feel so confident in myself.
