I called them to fix a broken washer. They scheduled something for the next business day. So, I use one of my limited work from home days. But then I get a call when they were already supposed to have arrived saying something came up and they need to reschedule. Ok. Annoying, but it happens. So they offer to reschedule for a few days later. I use another work from home day for that appointment. Second appointment comes. Total no-show. I call midway through my appointment time slot to find out what is going on. The answering service says they'll pass along the message. Never heard from them again. Please run away from this company, they're bunch of thieves. I scheduled an appointment for my washer that was leaking, the guy came in and checked the drain and said it wasn't closed properly. Then he asked that I pay him $250 off book which I refused. Called the company repeatedly, they promised to call back which they never did, so the tech left. I went to check my machine, only to find out that he took out my drainage cover and went away with it. Called the company to have him return it, am still waiting for that to happen. My freezer was on the fritz!! Food was defrosting, and we were truly upset until we found "A Good Appliance Guy". Spoke to Jacob and asked if we have an appointment later in the afternoon as we had some errands to run. He said " I'll see if I have someone in the neighborhood". Low and behold he called back and said "I can be there in 20 mins." Showed up right on time and gave us the bad news. There was a freon leak and to fix it would not be prudent. But he could charge up the compressor and give us a 30 day warranty. He also said that most leaks are so small that it might take a year to leak out or a few days. Took a chance and we will see. What I liked about Jacob is that he was very professional, and quick to diagnose the problem and repair it. The price I feel was reasonable and as for the warranty, he said if it goes bad on the 31st day, call him back and he will honor it. Cant ask for better than that. Will positively use him again for all kinds of appliance repair. After waiting a few days we found that the freezer developed a bad Freon leak. We informed Jacob and he recommended getting a new freezer. He returned the original check and just charged for a service call. What a mensch!!! read more
