He attempted a fix and scheduled to come back to check on our freezer with a money-back guarantee if it did not work. The refrigerator and freezer works better than before. He even fixed the noisy sound the refrigerator had before without us realizing. Now it feels brand new. It's not about the money with Steve and by far had the lower quote compared to other service we had tried. Just give him room to work and ask questions if you need to, he is open to giving solutions. Do yourself a favor and save yourself a headache. and BTW when I called the owner, he said he didn't know him. Then when I phoned back (after I kicked this guy out) he said he was sent because the REAL guy was tied up in another job. After weeks of warm drinks, rock-less cocktails, and an inability to put ice on sore muscles, I contacted Mike. He got back to me quickly and sent a technician here right away. Unlike a New York public school teacher during covid, the technician got to work. He removed the ice maker assembly and suggested it might need to be replaced. I began mental preparations for taking out a second mortgage, as Viking parts are absurdly expensive. In short order, he determined that the assembly worked fine (pretty impressive for a 20-year old fridge). A piece of food had gotten into it and blocked the water flow. He fixed it, put it back, and I was back in the ice-making business in no time. He could have totally fleeced me, but did not -- restoring my faith in humanity, but not New York's teachers' unions.

I had mentioned to them that my building had strict requirements for insurance and Sal sent over a COI within less than 24 hours of our call that met my building's approval. Sal was very responsive over the phone and scheduled an appointment for a 2 hour window. Alex, the technician came during that time window and also gave me a call 20 minutes before his arrival to give me a heads up. I love how communicative the entire NY Viking Team is. When he arrived, he made sure to cover his shoes with blue covers and he was able to quickly diagnose that my oven door needed new hinges and gave me the price, which I agreed to before he then promptly fixed everything. For folks who want peace of mind that their oven will get fixed and don't have these technical skills, I definitely recommend giving NY Viking a call.
