The Rack in Maple Grove is decent sized and well laid out. They tend to have a bit of a smaller selection of the higher end designers that you can find at the Mall of America Nordstrom rack but still a decent variety. They carry women's, men's, children's, shoes, accessories and home goods. Parking is plentiful but the traffic flow is a little tricky directing you right into the first row. That row gets 100% of incoming traffic so I'd recommend parking one or two over. Customer service here is always good. While you are kind of on your own to hunt the racks (if you want a personalized shopping experience head to the actual Nordstrom's) the employees always seem to be in a good mood and helpful when checking out. Dressing rooms are always clean and they have plenty of spaces to try on items. It helps when people return unwanted items to the return racks so do your part and don't leave them in the room. Overall I think visiting this location is fun and I rarely leave empty handed!

I got home and I didn't check my things right away. The next day when I checked I only had three pair of shoes with 3 boxes. I called. And spoke to someone that claimed to be a manager they said they would investigate the situation. They claimed to have check cameras, and they claimed that the shoes were in the bag, but the shoes never made it home with me. I'm a professional medical provider I have two twin boys, a husband there is no other female in the house and I know what I saw and how this person was acting at the register. Just make sure you check your items before leaving this store! Especially when you have someone that's bagging your stuff on the ground versus on the countertop!

This location is a bit different from what I remember, but they have lots of familiar things: there's an extensive selection of items for your household, including some scores for bakers and coffee lovers. Athletes will find yoga mats, resistance bands, and small items for your home workout. Into health and beauty? They've got you covered with applicators, sheet masks, and body scrubbers (if you've been to Korea, you know what I mean). I was delighted to discover that they have a respectable selection of stationery, including cute notebooks, fun puzzle erasers, and even a few fun sticky notes. This is a great place to come if you need to stock your dorm room, grab some art supplies, or fill a gift basket for the niblings at a reasonable price. Well-organized Grand Opening weekend, too, thanks to the great staff. Thanks, Daiso!

Upon entering you'll find of a variety of vintage items (not just second hand) to the left of registers. There were jugs, soda bottles, spice jars, figurines, and more. - If you're looking for Christian books, or audio, there are lots. What I like about the book session is that everything is shelved in alphabetical order. I don't see that at other second hand stores. -Speaking of books there's a small section of vintage books. Whether you're looking for something to read or just to use as decor. Many are pretty, leather bound, and with metallic ink on the spine. -There was a good selection of lamps and furniture, but the home decor section was a little basic. I didn't check out the clothes. A big con for me was how narrow the aisle are. There's no way to pass someone with a cart, if you happen to have one as well. I would definitely return. If you're looking to have a day of shopping, Arc Value Village and Unique Thrift aren't far.

The store is clean, organized, and with employees who are constantly tidying up and restocking. Shelves were well stocked while I was there, but only 1 thing caught my eye as a MUST HAVE. In the Home section, I especially liked the mixed bags of items on the wall. For a low price you get a variety of pre-selected like items all bagged up. Each bag is different; there were arts and crafts bags, home decor bags, toy bags, kitchenware, and more. When it comes to pricing... I think value is subjective. One person may think a $8.99 vase is too much, the other may think it's a steal. You have to see and decide for yourself. Keep in mind inventory will vary, depending on when you go. However, during this visit there was a good amount of purses, curtains, accent pillows, throws, and books. More than Savers- Columbia Heights and Woodbury which I've visited before. One thing I didn't notice were fitting rooms (just like Savers). However, there were public bathrooms. If you're looking to check out a few thrift stores while you're on the road, Arc Value Village, and Legacy are not too far.

Formal Complaint Regarding Treatment by Donation Manager on August 2, 2026…read more On August 2, 2026, at approximately 3:30 p.m., I came to Unique to donate three bicycles and garden fencing. I have been a customer and donor at Unique for many years and have donated similar items, including fencing, in the past. When I arrived at the donation area, the manager on duty informed me that Unique could not accept the garden fencing. I explained that I had donated fencing previously, but I understood and did not argue with his decision. I then turned toward my vehicle to remove the fencing from my trunk so that I could access the bicycles. As I was doing this, the manager said to me, "I told you we can't take that!" I explained that I had heard and understood him and that I was simply removing the fencing from my vehicle so that I could get to the bicycles. At that point, I asked him not to speak to me anymore because I felt that his tone and manner toward me were rude and were making me uncomfortable. Despite my repeated requests that he leave me alone, he continued engaging with me. I repeatedly told him to stop speaking to me and leave me alone. Instead of respecting that request, he took out his phone and began recording me, stating that I was making him uncomfortable at work. This escalated the situation significantly. I was attempting to disengage from the interaction, yet he continued to engage with me and record me after I had repeatedly asked him to stop. I began raising my voice and yelling because I felt unsafe and wanted to draw attention to what was happening. This is particularly concerning to me because this was the third interaction I have had with this same employee that has made me feel uncomfortable. I have been shopping at and donating to Unique for many years, and I have never experienced this type of treatment from any other employee. I believe that race may have played a role in the way I was treated. I recognize that I cannot definitively know his motivation, but the repeated nature of my negative interactions with this particular employee has caused me serious concern. I do not make this allegation lightly. During the interaction, I asked to speak with his manager. He told me that he was the manager. I then asked for his name, but he refused to provide it. He subsequently threatened to call the police because I was yelling. I told him to do so, as I was not threatening him or attempting to cause harm; I was trying to get the situation to stop after repeatedly asking him to leave me alone. After I removed the bicycles from my vehicle, I parked and entered the store because I wanted to speak with another manager and formally report what had occurred. As I was preparing to speak with management, the same employee approached me again and stated that I was "causing a scene" and accused me of calling him racist. I acknowledge that I did call him racist during the interaction because, at that point, I was extremely upset and felt that I was being treated unfairly. I was eventually told that I could call the store at 9:00 a.m. to file a complaint with a manager named Gabby. I again requested the employee's name so that I could accurately identify the individual involved. I was told to simply refer to him as the "manager on duty of donations," by another manager. After doing some research I learned his name is Joshua P. Rapke. I am extremely upset by this experience. I am not someone who routinely files complaints. In situations where I have had poor customer service experiences in the past, I have generally chosen to simply stop patronizing the business. However, this interaction was different. I left feeling disrespected, uncomfortable, and genuinely unsafe, particularly because I repeatedly attempted to disengage from the interaction and my requests were not respected. I am asking Unique to take this complaint seriously and investigate this incident, including reviewing any available security footage and determining whether the employee's actions and conduct were consistent with Unique's expectations for managers and employees interacting with customers and donors. I would also like this complaint documented formally and would appreciate a response regarding the outcome of the investigation and what steps will be taken to address this situation. I have been a longtime customer and donor, which makes this experience especially disappointing. I expect to be able to donate and shop at Unique without being subjected to confrontational, intimidating, or disrespectful treatment. Outside of this particular employee, I love Unique. Just tired of the treatment I get from this one man. Avoid this man at all cost! Manager Gabby followed up with me and apologized and let me know the incident is being handled internally. I appreciated the call.

I will say, staff didn't seem warm and friendly (ie a smile, or offer to help), but at the same no one was directly rude. I gather if you ask for help, they'd assist. I noticed by the bed frames, a sign that said they have tools to disassemble, but you had to do it yourself, which is still helpful since some places wouldn't even offer that.
