My haul - awesome cards, am I right??
Margie A.

I was shopping nearby at United Noodle & thought I'd check out Bench Pressed real quick and I'm so glad I did. This is a super cute store with lots to look at. Come here if you want some unique cards and gifts. As I was looking around the store, I found myself wanting to burst out laughing many times at the clever cards and signs. They have a bunch of food items like popcorn and coffee and also games/crafts for kids. The owner with her baby were super chill & friendly. I expressed my amusement at the hanging avocado piñata and remorse that I have no kids or use for it. She responded, "Well it's not like you do not NOT have a good reason either." Ha, touché! Next time maybe :) Tips: - Each card is $5 but they have a deal for 5 cards for $20 - Watch out for the step down when u exit the door (T_T) - Wear a mask but they also offer some in case you forget - Follow them on social media. I been following them on IG for awhile now and it reminded me to go check out their new store - Plenty of street parking around Perfect place for cards and gifts and to amuse yourself. Will pretty much be stopping here every time now when I'm in the neighborhood.

Wow! This place has some cool stuff. I will be back for more. They had some things I've never…read moreseen before. Things I may not need, but definitely want. They also have lots of things I really do need. I took lots of photos so that I can think about some of the things that caught my eye. Also, the service there was first rate. I was very pleased and glad that I found the perfect desk chair before someone else bought it.

Love this place. Don't go there cuz you might buy something I want…read more I bought two Eames vintage chairs, a vintage stainless steel rolling cart so we can put stuff on it (coffee, liquor, food) and roll it around the house. I also bought two vintages designer lights and a couple pieces of glass labware to put cocktails in and put on the rolling cart to roll around the house (see above). I also bought a very cool looking gumball machine where you push down a little lever and a gumball comes out.** **I have put real gumballs and M&M peanuts in this thing and it has yet to spit out a gumball. It's pretty cool, though. OK, these guys have vintage cocktail glasses and shakers (do you see a problem here?) and more labware that I might buy. And a couple great vintage stands from a chemistry lab that has lots of clamps for test tubes. I'm trying to justify this one. My god!! They have two gigantic overhead light fixtures on rolling frames. If you live in one of those hoity-toity warehouses there is no excuse not to buy these. O, VINYL RECORDS YOU PEOPLE. SOUNDTRACK ALERT!! Endless Boogie was playing on their sound system. New favorite band. Ba-bump ba-bump ba-bump (Jaws) they are only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from about noon on.

First lets talk about location...its pretty great, not too far off Hwy 100 and Excelsior…read more There are plenty of other stores in the area, but they have their own parking lot so you don't have to try to scavenge for street parking. I came in specifically to look at Joybird sofas as they are an authorized retailer and have sofas on the sales floor. Its scary to make an online purchase (and such a large, custom purchase) without touching and feeling an item, so I was thrilled to learn this store was so close to home and had what I was looking to purchase. I had a great time working with Kristin. After countless emails and a couple visits to the store I ordered my sofa, and also ended up with a chair and lamp. Kristin was great to offer her designer opinion while listening to mine and helping me make the big decision based on my existing home design. They offer financing (OAC) and 'white glove' delivery (they take all the packaging stuff with them when they leave, set the item in the room of your choosing) just like Joybird, but they will for other items you purchase there, too. The kicker is the 2 week in home trial period. Keep it for two weeks and if you decide you hate it they will take it back to the store and offer you store credit to replace the item. This really eased my worry about spending 2K on a sofa I may not like as much in person. I can't wait until it arrives! They also have home decor items here, like pillows and lamps. Its a super fun place to just look around and get inspiration, or fall in love with a custom fox lamp which would totally look amazing on your nightstand. Or maybe that fun mounted anatomical model of a heart on your desk. Or maybe that chair with acrylic arms. You get the idea... Inventory is changing constantly, so visit often. See you there!

I immediately knew I was going to be at home in this store. There was furniture and accessories, for you neutral people there was plenty of that. For those of us who like color, plenty of that too. My designer Billie was super sweet and let me browse but also let me know that anything can be custom ordered and that this is just a small sampling of what they can get for me. I wasn't sure if I could afford it so I had her price out a chair for me it was $1100 but they had a 20% off sale so it would be $880. I'm new to furniture shopshopping so I went to another store later (La-Z-Boy) and it was comparable to that. I walked in at 20 minutes to closing on a Sunday night, but Billie didn't seem rushed at all. I was the one saying "let's just wrap this up. Can you give me something to look at online?" And she gave me two websites she thought I would like based on our conversations and looking at what they have to offer. I will see where our furniture shopping journey takes me but I plan to be back!
