If you are planning on buying AirPods, iPads, or any Apple products online from Target--don't. We bought a pair of AirPods online from Target during their Black Friday sales as a Christmas gift. They had intermittent pairing issues from the start, but we finally took them to an official Apple Store this week to get them looked at. The Apple technicians dropped a bombshell: The AirPods Target sold us are completely fake. The serial numbers are fraudulent, and the charging case buttons are in the wrong spot. The Apple staff told us this is a big, ongoing problem with Target. Scammers buy real Apple products from Target, swap them out for cheap counterfeits, reseal the boxes, and return them. Instead of properly inspecting the returns, Target restocks them and ships them out to unsuspecting online customers like us. When we immediately went to Target with our receipt and the proof from Apple, their response was essentially: "Tough luck." They admitted it was a horrible situation, but refused to refund us or replace them because it has been 8 months. Target literally sold us a counterfeit product, took our money, and is now using their standard return window policy to avoid taking responsibility for their own supply chain failure. Save yourself the money and the massive headache. If you need Apple gear, buy it directly from Apple or a retailer that actually verifies what they are shipping to you.

I visited on a Friday (Valentine's Day) and it was pretty steady but not packed, I could find a place to sit down and relax by myself if I wanted to (and I did!) Shop selection is meh, I went into a few but didn't find anything to purchase which is just fine by me - I needed a place to hang out that was warm and this was it! She created this market to help artists and artisans, and to collect toy donations (as well as household goods and non-perishable food items for humans and pets) for STEP (the St. Louis Park Emergency Program). It's the annual event's first year in this space, and according to the website, the Market will be going on AT LEAST through December 27, 2023, Tuesday-Sunday from 11:00am-5pm. We parked in the ramp across the street and had no trouble finding this space. It was well lit and clearly identified. The space inside is also well lit, and there's plenty of room to move around in. There's a central counter where you bring the items you wish to purchase to pay for them. For the event that day, a donation to STEP earned you a ticket for a free slice of Muddy Paws Cheesecake. They had on offer about a dozen different flavors that evening, "New York" being one, and it's my absolute favorite, both in texture and flavor. My companion chose a slice of the Salted Caramel, which is equally delicious, but in a different way. For environmental reasons, I was so pleased to see the slices being served in paper board boxes, instead of the previous clear hard-plastic clam shells. There's a large section displaying the clothing pieces designed by St. Paulite, Laura Hlavac. Also available are jewelry made by various artisans, artisan pieces made from things such as snow skis, hockey sticks, hockey pucks, metal piping, golf balls, leather scraps and antique flour sacks, quirky greeting cards, handmade holiday ornaments, soaps, candles, lotions & potions, unique clothing pieces, and hats. In addition, you'll find a large selection of locally-designed puzzles. So many different things to see! And if you find yourself becoming a bit "hangry", buy yourself a slice of Muddy Paws Cheesecake and a bottle of water (or a cup of coffee if they're offering it) and set yourself down for a little while on one of the kids' chairs and relax, and enjoy your slice of delight. I was so excited to see this going in close to my house so I don't have to go to Maple Grove for my on budget buys! This store is large with a large selection! Lots of everything. Grad stuff, garden & picnic & grilling stuff. Upcoming holiday stuff. Food, housewares, cleaning supplies, everything. We were there on a weekday afternoon and they were rather busy with only one cashier. Thankfully we were all very patient and got through pretty quickly.
